"Drat," Indie thought as her hand closed around air. The snitch, as though bored of being grabbed at, swerved off somewhere out of sight. Resisting the urge to spout a string of profanities, the first year followed Lexine’s example and returned to her vantage point above the pitch. Hopefully she’d catch sight of it again, and ideally react quicker than before. Taking turns at snatching snitches was all well and good, but a good solid lead would be even better. She gave a friendly nod to the sixth year and kept on scanning the field.

Benjamin found himself dodging through a bludger, making a timed barrel roll to shake it. But maybe somewhere in between there he in untucked the ball or something because Dylan had caught him during the period and got the ball pretty cleanly. Benjamin didn't think about it too much though and and just countered to get the ball back.

But when he tried to go for it, a bludger seemed to fly by him and the trailing wind sort of caught him unexpected, completely throwing off the attempt and Benjamin completely missing it. It seemed as if the new girl had a trigger finger on her that may not have been accurate but now he had to keep aware of bludgers flying at him.

The snitch seemed like it wanted to be left alone for a while; Indie saw no sign of the thing. Figuring that maybe she needed a different perspective she began to move slowly toward the other side of the pitch, continuing to search. She’d find that darn ball if it meant hell. She was careful to track her eyes slowly about the pitch, knowing that if she flitted around randomly, it would be more difficult to catch sight of the snitch.
