ஐ----тһε ßlα¢кšмıтһ----ஐ εviε Evie's breath was starting to become labored as she stood there before her father. He was steadily becoming more and more angry as he held the piece of jewelery in his hands. Evie didn't have an answer, nor did she have a lie to tell. Would she tell them all now, that David wasn't who he was portrayed as? Her head was starting to swim and while she paused, Evie's father yanked down hard on the chain and it snapped. Evie's hand flew to her chest, the weight of the necklace suddenly gone.
"You know how I feel about that....that Prince." Evie's father spat the word like a curse. Almost rightfully, Evie's father threw the necklace out the nearest window.
Evie's heart broke at the sight of the delicate piece of jewelery flying away from her. She almost cried but willed herself not to in front of her father.
"I've....no clue how I came about that necklace. I found it one day near the forge...and I kept it." Evie told her father the lie and bit down on her lip to keep from crying.

Iago almost winced at the sound of the chain snapping...that necklace showed her how much he had loved her. He walked up behind her and put a hand on his lover's shoulder. "Should I tell them a fake story?" he whispered into her ear, although the way he mouthed it made the word fake look as if it was the word true, should her father be reading his lips.

ஐ----тһε ßlα¢кšмıтһ----ஐ εviε Evie turned away from her father and buried her face into Iago's chest. The necklace that she had loved so much, the necklace that Iago had given her when they had first arrived at the cabin in the woods. It was their first night alone together and the necklace symbolized how much he truly loved her. It was gone now. There was no familiar weight on her chest, it felt bare and naked almost. She covered the empty space with her hand, afraid to really believe that the piece of jewelery was gone.
"I don't care...tell him whatever you want. I don't care anymore." Evie whispered, trying her best not to cry into Iago.

"Look, Mr. Fallon...it's not what you think." Iago said in his assumed voice, holding his Evie close. He really disliked her father at the moment. "There's...a really embarrassin' story behind it. Suffice to say it's not the real thing, an' I never knew who's crest it was...it was just...for a..." he pretended to be embarrassed, even allowing himself to blush, wondering if he'd understand what he was insinuating...that was, that Evie fantasized about the Prince, and she had made the necklace as a prop for them to use during that fantasy.

ஐ----тһε ßlα¢кšмıтһ----ஐ εviε Evie wanted to leave right then. She didn't want to be around her family, much less her father anymore, especially since what had just happened was like ripping Evie's own heart out and tossing it out the window as if it didn't matter. She couldn't cry however, she had to pretend to be strong so that Iago's story would be taken as the truth.
Evie's father narrowed his eyes at David. What was he blushing about anyway?
"Well boy, get one with it will you?" His voice was raised, still rather angry having found something with the Royal family's crest on it.

"Sir...it's a little embarrassin' to say out loud...I'll just say it was a prop, nothin' more." Iago said. Things were getting too awkward. "But if that's all...I think it's best if we get goin'. We have a ways to travel." he said, knowing Evie wanted to get out. They'd leave, and he'd go recover the necklace, before going.

ஐ----тһε ßlα¢кšмıтһ----ஐ εviε Evie tightened her arms around Iago's waist and wanted to thank him aloud for getting her out of such a horrible situation. She didn't want to be there any longer and was getting closer and closer to an emotional breakdown. When she was feeling better, she turned away from him, her hand still in his while she spoke to her parents.
"We'll visit again someday...but we really must leave." Evie went to her mother and kissed her lightly on the cheek, then did the same to her father before taking Iago's hand again and going outside. She still kept her hand over her chest where the necklace once hung, it was a shame that it was gone.
"I'm sorry Iago...I lost your necklace." She whispered, taking care that no one heard her.

"Goodbye...it was nice meetin' you all." Iago said as sincerely as he could. He waved, then followed Evie out. When she apologized, he shook his head, lifting the cloth band up over one eye. "Don't apologize, it's not your fault. Wait here." he said softly, rushing off to grab the necklace, seeing it glittering between two buildings. He went back to her before anyone noticed it was him, then hit it deep within his pockets, so nobody would see it or know about it. "Let's go..." he said softly, wanting to get outside the village gates so he could remove the band fully. Just in case he dropped it over his eye, not wanting to be caught now.

ஐ----тһε ßlα¢кšмıтһ----ஐ εviε Evie just about responded to Iago when he ran off suddenly without another word. She stood there, utterly confounded when he had come back just as quickly as he had left. What was that all about now? Evie sighed and merely shook her head. Then, taking Iago's hand, she began their walk back to the cabin.
"That...was awful."

"I should have remembered the necklace, Evie...I'm sorry." Iago whispered. He might have ruined it for her. Once they reached the gates and had gone a ways past, he removed his blindfold and led her off the path a little so they had some privacy in the way of the trees.

ஐ----тһε ßlα¢кšмıтһ----ஐ εviε Evie shook her head and took Iago's hand, he still had the blind fold on for the time being so she had to make sure he was able to walk without falling and hurting himself. When they were alone in the trees, he had taken his blind fold off and she jumped at him, her arms twining around his neck.
"It's okay Iago. I don't care, I still have you and that's I care about." Evie whispered frantically.

Iago held her close. "If you need to let it out, go ahead." he said softly. He remembered the slightly quavering tone she had spoken in at the house, that suggested she needed to cry. He didn't mind if she did...in fact it was better if she did.
[Gotta go for a bit]

ஐ----тһε ßlα¢кšмıтһ----ஐ εviε Evie shook her head, wanting to be strong for him. She liked being close to him and that was all she would need.
"I'm okay Iago...I just need a moment is all." Evie whispered, still holding her hand against her chest. It was so empty and bare without the necklace hanging there.

"Alright..." Iago whispered. He knew how much she was hurting. "I need to make it up to you, somehow." he whispered after a moment. He had to...maybe he could find a ring or something for her? It would be much more symbolic than the necklace.

ஐ----тһε ßlα¢кšмıтһ----ஐ εviε With another shake of her head, Evie grabbed at Iago's shirtfront with both of her hands, bunching them into fists as she leaned against Iago. She hated what had just happened with her family and wanted to forget as quickly as possible.
"No, it's okay." Evie whispered back to him, tilting her head upward so that she could kiss him lightly on his neck.
