merydell BrookM merydell BrookM merydell Lady Blodwynn Are you trying to get everything ready in time for Malign Portents? haha, maybe i will make one when i get underway properly. haha, haven't even thought about that yet, my and a mate bought a sigmar starter so we could fight it out. blaugh If rumours are true, you've got until Summer to get your army ready. 3nodding hm, wel as far as the starter set goes that should be manageable, although i do want more units..always more. gonk Working with a plan, or just buying whatever catches your fancy? lol If unsure on how to proceed, you could always read the army book first, which should have quite a few themed army formations in there. well, so far i have only infantry wolves so been thinking about getting some vehicles and a cavalry unit. ninja |

GW always cherry picks their previews and in some cases it may come OP or stronger than average out of the gates, but they are quick on slamming armies with an FAQ these days, just look at the commissar nerf for the Imperial Guard, turning something that was quite frankly too good into something no longer worth considering ever again.
As is, this is to be expected of the Custodes, this is going to be one of those armies with a small number of models that needs its share of buffs and special rules to be viable enough for the 8th edition.
At least two of the three banners are geared towards pure builds, with only one for more run of the mill soup lists. Only thing really missing in this book is Sisters of Silence, the other half of the Talons of the Emperor and who, at least in the fluff, become unbeatable when paired with Custodes.
The art is also promising.
