Humility performed for the sake of praise isn't.

How can one fight for their convictions when gaining the end victory requires one to violate those very same convictions? How can one not fight when the results of inaction are even worse?

Can any war can be won without losing a greater war?

Part of me is sorry about that Poe.
Part of me is glad to have company in such a conundrum.
Part of me is just glad to see evidence of thought and concern.

Oh, and word to the wise dears, kitty snot is still nasty, even if the kitty is cute. sweatdrop

When you delve deep into things that should never be unearthed, things you should never have touched to begin with, it's always wise to bring a flashlight. Just in case. And by "flashlight" I mean "yeah, you're ********>

Tonight I gained a new level of respect for well-intentioned self-styled gurus. And a renewed faith in the small-time revolutionaries in my community (myself included). And a new crush <3

A novice was trying to fix a broken Lisp machine by turning the power off and on.
Knight, seeing what the student was doing, spoke sternly: "You cannot fix a machine by just power-cycling it with no understanding of what is going wrong."
Knight turned the machine off and on.
The machine worked and the novice was enlightened.
