Dalema was sick of all of this. It wasn't worth it, the awesome and shiny trophy sure wasn't worth it and she clearly wasn't going to stay there for long. Damn it. This was all too much. Really

Mihail thought this whole exercise was dubious at best, honestly.

Who thought it was a good idea to bury a bunch of older trolls in the snow? That's what he wanted to know.

He shivered, looking around for more signs of life. There had to be some somewhere, right?

 

[nepsah]

What if they suffocated before anyone could find them? He guessed the guy running the event had said if they made it out alive they'd won.

Still, that was pretty harsh as far as Mih was concerned. Up ahead there seemed to be something out of the norm... Perhaps a buried troll?

Nope, no one here. He sighed, the search continued.

 

[nepsah]

Was Knetic going to be doing this? He'd forgotten to ask. Then again his lusus wasn't super invested into making him into The Perfect Specimen, or something.

At least the weather wasn't that bad, all things considered. After taking a plunge in the cold water, this was nothing.

 

[nepsah]

Finally ! A troll, he was pretty sure of it! "Duh--do-don't wuh-worry. I've g--got you." He busted out the shovel they'd been given and started digging. He'd gotten plenty of practice with this sort of thing helping build the docks for the ships earlier in the sweep. Who knew all that digging would come in handy in the future? At least this was easier than dirt- he just had to watch out for rocks or other debris mixed in.

Once he'd finally freed the trapped troll, he offered his hand to give them some anchorage to crawl out. Success!

Now he had to see if he could find any others.

The Hunt begins again. With his last success, he was already feeling better about it.

Knetic would hate this, Mihail was pretty sure of it. Even with his good mood from rescuing one troll, he was having a pretty difficult time keeping his own spirits high.
