Kenny found himself corkscrewing a bit to dodge two different attempts on the quaffle. He glanced back at the boys and then focused again at the goals. He was pretty good at ignoring distractions, which those two could qualify. Add in a bludger, and then it was a game. Looking around, he chucked the ball to Evander, thinking the kid needed practice.

As it turned out, Vander didn't get the quaffle, Devonte did, at least until Kenny stole it from him. Vander'd seen Kenny talking to Violante at the feast, so he automatically didn't like or trust the older boy, but he wasn't about to turn down a chance to get his hands on the quaffle. He caught it, found himself close to the goals, and took the shot.

Ashley had done hos own laps and was sitting back watching the tryouts, his eyes already picking out that some of the players weren't too happy with being placed as just a chaser. As much as he hated to admit it, the mudblood was good. His lips curled as he thought that, but ignored it as he watched the newer players. When one attempted a score, his attention was diverted by a sudden pain in his right knee. He hissed, not even attempting to speak in the serpent's tongue but merely trying to block out the feeling of his patella cracking under the blow. Shaking his head, he caught the pass to him and looked over at Mira. "Head in the game, Mira. Next time it could be during a game." Satisfied that he had tried to get her back on task, he quickly made for the midfield point and started back down the pitch.
