On a side note...
I own a katana X3
And as for practical use... in a combat situation I'd rather have an m1911 colt... or a 45. Glock 32
because 45. bullets = respectable stopping power
but I'd also have my 4 foot long cold steel curved blade of death at my side for when I run out of ammo 3nodding

I would be envious, except that I know I would have managed to chop all of my limbs off if I had that many sharp objects. I am a horrible clutz.
I mean, I fall out of chairs at least twice a day.

The dagger usually lives in my purse. I have two pocket knives in my jeans, the long dagger is less than 3 feet from me, the short sword takes up residence in the bedroom, the wakasashi is right next to the computer, and my...I don't know what to call it hasn't been polished and sharped yet, but is near the TV (That doesn't include all of ceilisidhe's weapons).

On 2nd thought, I DO have that 2-3 inch long letter opener- tis a mini-broad sword w/ a pentacle on the handle 3nodding
