Anonymous_Alcoholic Actually, it isn't. They have high-tech, just no guns. It's weird. They have television and radio headsets, but no guns. And you can be as badass as you want, you're going to be in pain if they hit you with a poison.
There is 1 true gun shown: An air-powered, syringe launching, semi-auto sniper rifle. It requires pushing on the firing chamber with one's hand at least several inches to fire. It was shown in a recent episode when Konoha thought Naruto & Sakura had brought back the Chakra Virus.

Well that doesn't sound like fun role-playing at all...I mean we could go all day making things up like moving so fast that the poison in the air could not reach or that he is wearing gloves so it could not enter the skin. Non-sense like that...

Well, you're the one being s straight-forward about it. The Mad Scientist isn't straight-forward, and thus, you stand no chance. He has your weaknesses on lock, and he's no problem exploiting them with plans, and several backup plans. You don't out-fight the mad scientist, you out-think him.

You're missing the point. It's not his potions and vials that make him dangerous, it's the intelligence and the fact that there's nothing the mad scientist won't do in the name of SCIENCE.
He is mad, after all.

As a side note: I was previously working on an 8 Gate user, myself... if coupled with a few uber-strategic ninjutsus, they'd be just as devastating during their lower--& more maneuverable--gates as the scientist is. Which jutsus they are, though, isn't a secret to be let known...
