Lan looked out and saw what Kane saw. He looked at the gun and at how big the man was. "I could nail him to the wall with my sais. Just pin his shoulders to the wall by his jacket" Lan said as he drew his two sai.

"Lan," Kane said in warning, "we can't just kill him. He hasn't hurt anyone from what I can see, and it would just get us in throuble. If I pinned him, though, could you knock him out?" Though Kane would not admit it, he was terribly afraid of guns.

"I-I can't risk you getting hurt" Lan said with a few tears. "I almost lost you once.....never again...." he cried silently. "I meant that I can pin him to the wall by his coat sleeves. I never was gonna hurt him"

"Oh," Kane said, "I see. Sorry, I thought you ment you were gonna pin him through with the sais. Alright. But, I wasn't suggesting that I actually physically try to pi him. That guy's huge, and I'm afraid of guns. But I could hold him with my powers for a minute. What do you think would be safer?" Glancing back out the door, Kane hurried him. "And think fast. I think he's losing his pacience."

"Okay" Lan said as he looked out. He drew both his sais and held them in his hands. "Ready?" he asked. "Now!"

"Kyaa!" Kane burst through the door with Lan and instantly hit the man with a blast that knocked him off balance. Then he grabbed him and hung him an inch off the ground. "Okay Lan, I've got him!" Around them people were sreaming, staring, scuddling about. Some of them though the boys were more robbers, but others recognized their counter measures.

Doing a flip in the air, Lan spun his sais and slammed the man against the wall. He spun his sais again and stabbed them fast into the man's coat shoulders. After pinning him, Lan gave a little grin. All of a sudden there was the crack of the gun, and Lan's smile dissappeared.

"Kyaa!" Kane sreamed when he heard the gun go off. With a blast the gun flew off across the room. He ran over to Lan, paniced. "Lan! Lan! Are you alright?"

Lan's face was completely still as he brought a hand down to his side. He brought his hand up to his face, his fingers now bloody.

"Lan!" Kane gasped when he saw the blood. "D-Did it hit any vitals? You're not fading, are you? Oh no, we need to get you help!" Kane scooped Lan up in his arms and rushed outside. "I'm taking you to the hospital!" he yelled as he ran as fast as his feet would take him.

Lan's hands were shaking and his face was blanch white and he stared at Kane. "K-kane.....A-am I going to die?" he was clearly in shock and didn't know what he was saying. As they got closer, suddenly the shock left Lan's body. He screamed and writhed as he felt the jostling of Kane's running send shocks through his body. "K-Kane! I-It hurts so bad....!"

"Ah," Kane stopped when he saw Lan in pain. "I-I'm so sorry! I-I don't knwo what to do," he was crying as he thought frantically of some other way. Finally, he realized he could probably levitate them over. Concentrating hard, he managed to get them a few inches into the air and rode smoothly above the ground. "I'm going to get you help Lan! No matter what, you're not going to die!"

Lan's screams slowed down and stopped as Kane levitated him. He looked up through teary eyes. "Y-your powers.......p-pull the bullet out....i can heal it but i can't concentrate with the bullet in me..." he groaned and choked out.

Kane hesitated, but stopped and set Lan down gently on the ground. He was afraid of hurting Lan more, but he knew that he had to do something. Concentrating once more, he moved his hand in a motion as if he were pulling out a splinter. As he pulled at the air, the bullet came slipping slowly out. When it was finally free of the flesh, Kane sighed and dropped it to the side. "A-Are you okay? Lan?" his eyes were still tery, and he was almost afraid to hear Lan's response, but also feared hearing no responce.

Lan screamed again as the bullet was drawn out. Giving himself a little time, he concentrated and the wound sealed up partially. Crying and sobbign in pain, he fell into Kane's arms.
