CuAnnan Collowrath Also, I wish that I could wrap my head around Irish spelling. I can't. Irish spelling doesn't work. Irish was never meant to be written by such a limited alphabet, too many phonems. Even the introduction of the fada, the urú and the shéimiú do nothing to ameliorate the problem. So that's the problem behind the way too many consonants thing I see.

That's no good. Unfortunately, Irish has used the Latin alphabet for so long now it probably wouldn't work too well to just remove it and start from scratch.
Celeblin Galadeneryn So that's the problem behind the way too many consonants thing I see.
Celeblin? Meet "zmrzlina" and "strč prst skrz krk." =D Vowels? WHO NEEDS 'EM?

Collowrath Aino Ailill Collowrath Celeblin? Meet "zmrzlina" and "strč prst skrz krk." =D Vowels? WHO NEEDS 'EM? How is that pronounced? Indeed, carefully and with much oral dexterity. =D Trill your R's, and č is like ch. It's all phonetic from there - "zmurrzlina" and "sterch pursed scurr's Kirk." =D They mean "ice cream" and "stick a finger through a throat." That's easy. I got that on guess.
Now try to pronounce bhfuil, leanfaidh, fadhb, and leigheasófar
Then try to find them in here:

Have fun. twisted
Though as a warning, the last one is a case of too many vowels, least as I hear it.

Some people seem to have trouble with R's and L's as vowels. We've got a lot of interesting consonant clusters in the tool shed.
And I am yet again humbled by the Irish. stressed
Nuri: That picture is beautiful. Thank you for posting it.
