The sensors came off clean, but the droid reacted faster than Kay would have expected. He received a blow to his legs for his trouble but was still able to leap away into the smoke again, slashing the droid as he departed. It seemed Daddicus was continuing to upgrade in an effort to throw him off.
The droid began swinging at random, smashing piles of rubble, slashing at the smoke, and letting out a series of digital screeches into the smoke filled room.

Wounded, Kay returned to his hit and run techniques, appearing from behind, above, even directly in front of the droid to surprise it, striking, and withdrawing. After dealing some damage, Kay began targeting the droid to cripple it. He struck the arms again and again, slowing the saber and eventually completely removing the other. Smashing much of the rest of the droid into unusable mangled chunks, he finally stepped out of the smoke.

Kay stepped towards the droid as it launched another feeble assault, too battered and broken to be a serious threat anymore. He easily blocked the blow, then knocked the droid back. He continued to keep the droid at bay, easily protecting himself and pushing the droid back to buy time to recover for his next bout in this ridiculous gauntlet Daddicus had set against him.
He glanced up towards the control room, wondering if they could see him through the haze.
Finally, Kay swung both sabers together and smashed through the droid's resistant armor, easily slicing through the vulnerable innards, and spraying the arena with another scattering of droid parts.
"You won't stop me with training droids Daddicus! You'll have to do better than this!" he shouted up at the ceiling.
Destroyed!
