So I got a bunch of different kinds of magnets, 2mm, 3mm, and 5mm. You're a boss, thanks for linking me to that site. I may go magnetizing crazy though.
I know I went nuts, mostly magnetizing vehicle weapon options. whee

I got a little variable drive drill for seventeen bucks over at Harbor Freight, it should do the trick for my drilling needs, it also has a sensitive trigger so I can control how fast it goes by pressing lightly.

DE's been using our regular power drill for hobby stuff and it annoys the living crap out of me... show me the drill you got? Maybe if its littler it would be better than a pin vice or... -cough- our Ryobi..

It's a kind of off brand company;

Of course the friggin Centurions have the most ridiculous pieces that make it nigh impossible to magnetize. They have all these freaking hoses and crap coming off their backs that hook to the back of the weapons, it's going to be a nightmare...

If you want a proper all-purpose tool I highly recommend getting a real Dremel. Not the cheapest of options, but a great tool to own, not just for drilling, but also for other hobby purposes. 3nodding

My only problem with a Dremel is that it keeps rotating and turning it off and on is tedious.

I'm undergoing the same dilemma with Wraithguard, as they've got 4 complete options, but some change at the wrists and some change at the shoulders, so I'd need loads of 1mm magnets to pull it off. sweatdrop

I had originally meant to get the 1mm ones but for some reason I ended up with the 3mm ones...But it's too much money to buy them now. I was actually thinking about not even using the hoses.

The hoses probably don't need to be magnetized either, they'll just into place around the main joints.

I only have 3mm magnets right now anyway, and they've worked well so far. Not sure for infantry though...

I spose I could just glue the hoses on one piece but the hoses are kind of hard to figure out cause they have different hoses so you can pose the arms differently which was why I thought about magnetizing them...

Do you have Centurions yet?

I don't, not working on Space Marines at the moment. =X Could you post pictures of the hoses so I can see what you're talking about?

Well currently photobucket is broke so I can't but I'm pretty sure any picture of the side or back of a Centurion will show you what I'm talking about, the hoses go from whatever weapon they have to their backs.

Hmm, maybe if you glued the hoses to either the arm OR the back, you could still magnetize it and have it fit. Otherwise, you could just drop the hoses.

I agree, leaving the hoses off might be a better option.
