Before I would be able to fall asleep with my instrument, My siblings and/or parents would be screaming at me for playing so late. So no, it has never happened.

Well, I have a recording studio in my basement, and I'm a practice freak, so I often play literally until I can't keep my eyes open anymore xd ...so I've fallen asleep a few times on the couch in there with my guitar in hand xd

Yeah, I usually sleep with it while on a band trip cause I play flute, so it sits in my lap.
But I have many times fallen asleep in my bed playing flute, guitar, and even my keyboard! (no, not a full piano, I have a big bed biggrin Queen size)

I fell asleep while I was writing my first song. It was late and I had a really good idea, so I just whipped out my acoustic and some paper. I started thinking about what would sound good, and I just sort of dozed off. When I woke up, I was sitting on the floor slumped over my guitar, pencil in hand. I ended up getting the idea down.
At the beginning of the month, I was going to band practice. It was our final practice before a huge show, and I had gotten two hours of sleep the night before. Our director was late and the music room was locked, so I fell asleep in the hallway between my guitar and the drummer. I woke up because the bassist walked by and almost kicked me in the nose.

That happened to my friend once. She fell asleep with her flute... my brother fell asleep on his practice pad... I almost fell asleep at a piano concert after playing Tchaikovsky... I could go on all day.

once. . . a few years back. I'd been up since 6 or 6:30 that morning and was on the run till 9 or 10 that night. I figured I would mess around with the guitar for a bit before I went to sleep. but I ended up fallin' asleep with guitar in hand. needless to say that when I woke up, the batteries in my Pignose amp were dead as well as the one in my guitar.
