First time I ran into shonen-ai was when a friend suggested Eerie Queerie.. because it was funny. I didn't have a problem with homosexuality, I just thought it was sorta gross. But then I thought hand holding and kissing was gross too.. I think I was in 7th grade. I got the first book of Eerie Queerie and thought it was cute and funny, but I didn't get further into the yaoi world until my step-sisters got FAKE and started watching Gravitation. Then when I was 15, my sister got the first volume of Selfish Love. Although there was a warning on it, I didn't really pay much attention to it. I've watched tons of rated R movies, so why bother? That's what I thought.. After finishing the actual story, I thought it was cute too. "Yay they kissed. ^^!" There were extra stories, so of course I read it.. that's where I saw my first yaoi scenes. My reaction was "o_o... Ahhhh!!!! Should they be doing that?! *stares and keeps reading, blushes* Eeep. *reads and blushes more* !!! *finishes and stares at the back of the book* "Glad I finished that.. I'll probably never look at it again." My sister asked me if I finished it, and about the end of it.. >_> She knew.. and didn't warn me. <_< I wasn't sure how I felt about looking at guys going at it yet. A month or two later a friend asked me if I wanted some manga. I was like "Yeah, sure, send it." She was happy and stuff because I just said I liked guys and girls. So, yeah, she sent it.. there was alot.. it was all yaoi.. and I ended up blushing more. x-x;; But I asked for more anyways, and I eventually got used to it. That's about it. ^^;;

Welllll.....One night I was pagin through Anime on Demand, looking for the first episode of anything so I could start watching a new series, and I stumbled across the first, second, and third episode of Gravitation.
...And then it started xd

I think I was born into it but I had to find it before I relized that it was for me. sweatdrop I think it all started with my friends and it took off from there.

Well the first time I saw Yaoi in progress I didn't know it was yaoi.I was reading Gravitation and for some reason or another I thought that Shuichi was a girl. sweatdrop I dunno silly me.Then My friend Vicki told me it wasn't a girl and I was just like Ooooooo....I see now.... eek Then I said awww that's cute he's in love....and then I was hooked. whee

Me: (Aged 12) Oh my god... *Dripping drool all over her keyboard*

Mum: (walks in and looks at me strangly) Jade...what are you doing?

Me: Huh? Thinks: Crap can't let here see whats ont he screen *Clicks onto a 'innocent' webpage* "NOTHING MUCH!" *tires to look innocent*

Mum: Riiiiight....(Slowly leaves my room, unconvinced)

Me: (Squeals fangirlishly) That was so hot must find more! *Begins google search*

Yeah my first reaction, my mum found out later i was writing Yaoi fics and posting them on FF.Net, and she wasn't bothered really, but i was hooked as soon as i read the fic and the two boys (Cloud and Sephiroth if i remeber rightly, but it was a long time ago seen as im 21 now XD) kissed i squealed in excitement, it was also way back when FF.net had NC17 rating and i was 12, and i tottaly ignored said rating, which is why i'm scarred by Yaoi for life, but hell, its a good thing dont you think? XD

Hmmmmm, I think I totally was.
When I wasn't even suppose to know what gay guys/girls were.
I always wondered how they'd have babies.
Being you know... you just don't know those things as a kid. xD
