Obei watched as the red one's expression would slowly fade, now looking increasingly more alarmed about something. She tilted her head and watched as his chakra flared up, or something else's. A bright light surrounded him as he commanded the blue one to look after the both of them.
"Protect these woman and keep them here! There is a crisis in the village that I must see to. If I am not back soon take them to Giman and keep them safe- that is an order boy."
In an instant, he vanished without so much of a trace. The towering oni would stand up from kneeling over the antlered one and watch in the direction he took off in. Remaining silent, Obei looked at the two again before following after him. Her speed was slow at first but soon turned into a fast run. Passerbys might catch glimpse of a seven foot pale woman with a black horn. Something that probably wasn't a common sight around these parts.

She had her disguise in her bag and even a spare to disguise herself as a VORTEX agent if necessary for her missions. She took a wrong turn in the lands and retraced her steps before she found the Ginmizu Falls, which she used as her landmark. In an instant, the tallest woman she had ever seen in her life was running toward her. She extended her hand before speaking. "Halt! What's the hurry?" She suspected that there might be some sort of chaos occurring given how she hypnotized the kyuubi host into attacking a nation. She required more details on that possibility, but would certainly avoid the Arashi gates for the time being. If only she could look through Masato's eyes like Sandayu could.

During the run following the red one, she came across another blue one that was in front of her route.
"Halt! What's the hurry?"
In order to not run directly into her, the tall oni would slam on the heel on her boots, coming to a grinding halt right in front of the woman. Up close, she might seem even more gigantic than more. Obei's permanently worn eyes would gaze down at the blue one in front of her. With a huff and nothing more she knelt down so she could be at eye level with her. Or maybe have an easier time of doing so. The oni's skin was a pale white as was her hair, the scent of sake following her, chilled liquid slushing in the ground on her back. But enough about her, she was busy focusing on this woman. Her attire was quite revealing. Was she cold? The mountains did get pretty chilly this time of year. Not to mention she was fairly beautiful. A thin body, one that wasn't clunky and tall like hers. Obei had always envied people who had color to their hair. Hers was just the whitest shade that it could possibly see, maybe the color of bones. She stared quietly at Kagami for a bit before speaking. "" A pause, Curses, this one wouldn't understand her native tongue either. No horn and much to frail. Her tongue clicked as she spoke in a common tongue, very slowly getting the words out.
"I...follow...red one." She pointed forward across from them with her enlarged gauntlet, a boney finger pointing across before she brought it back. It took several seconds before she would realize something that was probably vital to her survival here. Her sprint had gotten her lost from the other blue one and the antlered one. Another gruff noise came from her as her neck searched around. The pause appeared to have made her lose the direction she was pretty sure she saw the red one going. Curses! Had she run over this woman and continued, she probably would have caught up to him by now. Or not. Who was to say? "...Red one...gone." A frown graced her face, though it was hard to tell with that permanent hurt expression on her face. Looking back to the blue one she had just recently met, the oni would motion to herself, speaking her name. "Obei."

__ When the oni giant approached her Kagami fully realized how tall she was. "This thing is huge." It was intriguing to her to say the least, usually people bored Kagami. Her new husband Sandayu kept her entertained in more ways than one as did her mortal nemesis Chie. It had been some time since she conversed with her Kogarashi leadership rival Belamos. The fact that the giant pale woman was chasing her was lost on Kagami as she listened to her broken up words. "You're following...red one? Who's red one?" She spoke with confusion in her voice as the seven-foot-tall white-haired oni explained what was going on. Kagami could only gather that her name was Obei based on her hand gesture. She supposed that it mattered little who red one was for the time being. "Anyway, I'm Kagami. Where do you come from?" This Obei creature seemed a bit simple so Kagami spoke slower. She read about giant dumb brutish creatures in books when she was a child, but to see one for herself was quite the opportunity. Immediately, Kagami considered a possibility to turn this chance interaction into a useful strategic move. Certainly a giant woman could possibly be useful in her army. How she would go about convincing or capturing this creature remained to be seen.

Obei continued to look down upon Kagami, literally. Her piercing red eyes would never falter, simply stare on as if they were judging her for every sin she had committed. Of course it was just a socially inept woman who was physically taller than she would probably ever grow to. At least as far as Obei knew.
"You're following...red one? Who's red one?"
That was a good question. She had been calling him the red one for so long without a true name. The other blue one...the little one. His name was Hiryu but who on earth was the red one? This thought was pondered for a time, her mental fingers tapping her chin in thought. It started with a C she thought? Maybe it would come to her later. Her answer given was just silence, offering a sorrowful glance at the woman. Hopefully it was acceptable given their meeting conditions.
"Anyway, I'm Kagami. Where do you come from?"
Ah, a personal question. Always one for talk, Obei was. That was sarcasm. People said that it would not be true if she said it like that. Regardless, Obei moved her hand towards the mountains, near the very peak. "Obei...come from...top." The many memories of her youth came back to her as she continued. "Very sick. Woman come...take Obei down." Her guidance danced around the slope, following the path she took before coming to a rest right at the midway point. "Stay there. Shrine. Woman gone. I look...no find. Find red one and blue one. Talk about place. Blue one want...strong. We fight. Red one use...jutsu. Hot. Very hot." The oni explained. It was a quick rundown of her raising, one that left out unanswered questions but it was serviceable.
Need a quick refresher, she took off the giant gourd from her back and uncapped the lid, drinking the contents she had stored there earlier. After wiping her mouth, she offered it to Kagami. "Sake. Clan make. Cold. Very cold." Even with it at a distance, she could smell just how powerful this stuff was.

__ The giantess's enormous red eyes were matched by the piercing quality of Kagami's implanted Sakkakugan. Despite the woman's size, she was not intimidated by her, but certainly cautious of any sudden moves. A friendly smile broke on Kagami's face. It was one of Kagami's charming masks to endear herself to others. Apparently, she did not know who the red one was that she was chasing. That was very curious indeed. When Obei pointed at the mountains and indicated that was her home Kagami nodded. It took her a few seconds to stitch together the fragments of her broken speech patterns to ascertain meaning. She had a kind and patient expression on her face while listening. When she mentioned the red one using very hot jutsu she could only guess who that was. Her friendly smile revealed teeth when she was offered cold sake. Kagami accepted it and threw it back before feeling a fire in her throat. The smell was no small indication, but she had never tasted alcohol that strong before. She covered her mouth and coughed before laughing and gathering her composure again. She immediately felt the burn of the alcohol begin to loosen up her shoulders. It also warmed her up in the crisp mountain air. "That's very strong!" Kagami laughed that statement out as she wiped her lips with her hand. "Did the red one talk about being a king or a Sun god or anything like that? What you're saying reminds me of one of my friends." She inquired of the oni, it seemed unlikely that she was talking about Belamos but Kagami figured that it was worth a guess. "My home was destroyed by its own corruption. Now I'm a freedom fighter to ensure that what happened to me doesn't happen to anyone else. You must be feeling so lost. I know how that feels, Obei." Her tone was gentle and sympathetic. Her kind eyes softened as she maintained eye contact with Obei.

Obei watched silently as Kagami took the brunt of the sake like a champion. The impact was visible, the giant snickering to herself as she took interest in Kagami's eyes. They were such a queer shade of coloring. Hers would study them close, observing them during the time she drank and handed back the gourd. Strange. Very strange. Keep an eye on. Her hands placed the gourd on her back for safe keeping. Just as her attention turned, the blue one asked about the red one.
"Did the red one talk about being a king or a Sun god or anything like that? What you're saying reminds me of one of my friends."
It triggered something in her head. Memories would flow back to her of the red one speaking of the the sun and such. He appeared to be known by this woman as well, the chances being insanely ironic. The threats towards the smaller blue one, the calls of his techniques, even more. "Yes. Red one...talk much of Sun. Think he bluff...When use call fire from sky, think Sun God." The one jutsu he used to try and murder the antlered one in the tree she was in. The tree was there and gone the next, rendered to ash with the red one's technique. "Strong. Very strong. Want be strong. Fight red one again. Win." The tall woman appeared much more excited at the mention of his strength and how she wished to fight again. Her own raising had been rife with fighting anything. Animals, other people, her caretaker. If it had a pulse, it was a foe.
"My home was destroyed by its own corruption. Now I'm a freedom fighter to ensure that what happened to me doesn't happen to anyone else. You must be feeling so lost. I know how that feels, Obei."
Kagami's own story had touched with the oni. The corruption did sound quite strange. Maybe that was what made the white haired woman leave the shrine so suddenly? They both had lost homes, Kagami more in the literal sense. Obei's eyes looked down, showing signs of regret and almost sadness. "Miss home. Very much. Not know where go." She was vulnerable, looking at the ground for a moment. "What...free-dom...fight-ter? Fight bad people? Ones who take home?"

__ Unbelievable. Obei had already met Belamos and was chasing after him. What was he doing out here? Clearly very little that was productive to the organization he was in command of. Well, technically he has no power in Kogarashi, but he thinks he does so Kagami figured that he would be on top of his perceived duties. He might have been crying over Takumi's grave at the Falls and ran away with Sandayu brought the fool back to life. It was all confusing to Kagami as she listened to Obei. When she seemingly inquired about the meaning of freedom fighter. "Yes. The bad people are the ones who control these places called hidden villages. They hurt their people. Their people have no freedom. I'm a part of a group that fights the bad people and gives them their freedom back." Kagami's tone of voice was kind and patient as she explained the general concepts of Kogarashi in simple terms. "Our name is Kogarashi. We're a group who will stop the bad villages. We can be your new home." Her eyes narrowed in on her as her kind smile grew. This was Kagami's offer to change Obei's life in exchange for her loyal service. "By the way, the red one's name is Belamos. He's in Kogarashi too." She offered that information as an additional olive branch to entice Obei into agreeing with Kagami's plan. Kagami needed new members of Kogarashi with special abilities in order for her large scale plans to come to fruition.

"Yes. The bad people are the ones who control these places called hidden villages. They hurt their people. Their people have no freedom. I'm a part of a group that fights the bad people and gives them their freedom back."
It was a very stunning bit of news to her. Living in a mountain for most of her life had its fair share of downsides and this was certainly one of them. It was a terrifying concept, these villages. To be born into a place where the people were hurt and were forever bound to serve the village. Her sullen expression faded as a more upset one replaced it. "Bad people. Very bad." The oni nodded in agreement. It was a disgusting system and had to be put to an end. "Villages is bad place."
"Our name is Kogarashi. We're a group who will stop the bad villages. We can be your new home...By the way, the red one's name is Belamos. He's in Kogarashi too."
"Ko-gar-rashi." Obei repeated, thinking to herself internally. It was a novel idea to go against these villages of pain and subjugation, even if she couldn't pronounce such things in the common tongue. The most tempting part was the offer of a new home. People who would greet her on waking up. A nice warm bed. It was all nice. Very nice. Sleeping on the tree or on the ground was uncomfortable for her. Obei's eyes looked back at Kagami's for a moment then away again. "New home sound...nice. Very nice." The pale woman replied. "Obei need...do stuff. Get stronger. But Obei promise get stronger. Help...Ko-gar-rashi. Strong. No strong like red one but strong." With her words finished, Obei had agreed to join the blue one's cause. She stood up right again and stretched, feeling a bit stiff from her time kneeling down. Looking down at Kagami, she smiled a little, maybe even a little color in her cheeks.
"Blue...Ka-gam-mi want rest? Obei carry if rest." One of the benefits of being a hulk of a woman.

Hailee was just glancing around for the most part, taking it all in, especially the scenery and the little things that wouldn't matter to everyone. That was, until Shion made the suggestion to train on her summoning skills. Truth be told, she hadn't really gotten in any training attempts in such a long time. "Ahahaha, oh, right." She said, remembering that was the whole point she was taken here with her. It was probably going to be a bit difficult summoning without overusing her own blood, she'd just have to be careful if she'd start feeling dizzy. That's how you know you're using far too much. "Alright than, I will." Hailee figured she'd try and train quietly, so she could have her sleep peacefully. Taking out the needed scroll and pulling out a kunai from her bag, she kneeled down relaxingly, attempting to get this right. Taking the kunai first, she carefully cut a small slash onto her finger, allowing the blood to soak up the scroll. It was annoying having to do that everytime, cause it freakin stung. But, it was something she was going to have to get used to. Focusing her energy, she tried to contact an animal, keeping her chakra levels steadily in tact as much as she could. For a couple minutes of trying, nothing was happening. The air quiet, not much noise happening other than the area of camping. Still, she was not giving up, as she sat there trying to concentrate even harder. Rinse and repeating when she needed to, suddenly her mind was more calm and relaxed, and a kitty named Ikati formed out from the pridelands, staring abound curiously. Hailee's own face was shocked, almost like she'd seen some magic. "Shiiooon, I summoned a kitty like you asked!" She said happily, petting the kitty fully of bliss. Fur so soft, too cute!! Shion's eyes flicked open after a brief second; it seemed her nap was over, which meant Hailee had finished her training. Shion slowly rose to her feet, letting a soft grumble escape her lips as she surveyed the scene. Not much had changed from when she last left it. Kwaka was still overlooking the bandits, Hailee was still there... only now, Ikati had joined the party. Seems she really had done it. "Good work. The more you grow, and the more the cats' trust in you grows, the stronger the cats you can summon will become."
Shion then shifted her attention to her own summon. "Any changes, Kwaka?" The kitten shook its head and replied, "None, boss." Shion nodded to herself for a second, then waved her hand at the cat. "Itaki, Kwaka, you two are dismissed. We're done here." Shion's eyes shifted to Hailee, "We're also going back. We've done what we came here to do, and I've got to fill out a report form. C'mon."
With everyone's new orders dispatched, Shion made her way back towards the village.

Hailee was super thrilled to summon her very first cat, it felt like such a huge accomplishment. She wanted to bust out in a dance over it, but decided against that since it would probably just end up..awkward. It sure felt hella good gettin praised though! Thank ya! It's so awesome summoning kitties, and they're so cute." Hailee spoke as her eyes sparkles in glee. While Shion conversed with her cat, Hailee was bursting to life with excitement. Soon enough she returned back to reality as Shion dismissed the cats, and told her that they were going to return back now. "Alright, I'm right behind you captain!" She said, doing the whole side hand to her head thing like a captains subordinate would do. Hailee followed Shion, both heading to the village now that there mission was completed. This one really wasn't hard at all! A walkin breeze in the park. x They camped hidden among chilled, misty green giants with jagged common trees glazed with ice on their tall shoulders. When the wind blew from the north, long streams of cool condensation flew from a myriad of rushing falls like banners. Day broke to christen the haze of morn with pure brilliance as a heavy mist fell upon the travelers' camp.
Szen stirred, waking to wipe the sleep from his auburn eyes with deft phalanges. He shivered, then stretched as usual, proceeding with a ritual that'd become ingrained in him over the years he'd traveled, delivering messages among other parcels twixt the shinobi nations. Recently, his work had grown terribly demanding, not to mention dangerous.
A warm yawn ascended from his gaping jaw and merely dissolved fore it could reach any significant height. Szen silently packed up before settling his hues upon his two companions. The shred of a simper cut the edges of his lips to form a small smile, though it was completely hidden under a mask drawn taut over the better lower half of his face. Szen quietly neared the two and crouched beside them, leaning forward on his toes. "Hey. Wake up." he bid his sleeping companions in an undertone rasp with urgency, yet deep as velour.
The veil what covered his lips didn't help with raising his tone to rouse them, but he made sure to supplement his summons with a good shake of their bodies or ruffle of their heads, however which way they would allow. "Makoto.... Kairi.. ?" he bid them rise once more, then sighed as he observed them slow as snails to stir and wake. They had a few letters yet undelivered, with time running short. Besides that, the messengers were not entirely safe as the roamed out of the safety of town or village.

A bundle of blankets rested near the long-extinguished campfire, and would have been easily dismissed as a mess of unneeded clothing if not for the minute yet rhythmic rise and fall of the outermost layer. A yet more keen observer would note the tiny opening near the top of the bundle, from which a few strands of purple-black hair could be seen. A bigger clue was the fact that, if listened to closely, the blankets made a tiny noise with every rhythmic motion, like a kitten purring in its sleep. Indeed, that easily-overlooked bundle was none other than Mikoto - or, rather, Makoto, for now at least - desperately trying to keep warm in this frigid, unwelcoming environment.
Mikoto was cold. The chill seeped through several layers of thick blankets and into her very bones, and even buried as she was, she could not stop shivering. The entire night was filled with her searching for a way to get comfortable on the ground - such a barbaric way to sleep! - and only succeeding to wake up trembling to the point of it becoming painful. You see, here is a funny thing about Suna. It's in a desert. A hot, scorching desert. The entire Land of Wind was a big stove-top, nice and warm and comfy. But this? This was horribly cold, especially in the mornings. Whoever decided this weather was acceptable needed to get fired. Then hired and immediately fired again. And then stabbed, for good measure. Mikoto would appreciate being the one doing the stabbing.
Szen's urgings were met with an angry hiss as the small girl's head finally surfaced from the blankets. She regretted the action almost immediately and flinched as the cool morning air hit her warmed cheeks. The girl pressed her teeth together to avoid them from clanking against each-other and pulled the blankets ever tighter against her body in a desperate attempt to keep warm.
"W-what is our next destination?" Mikoto managed to stutter out between shivers. She tried to keep her voice a little on the low side, to keep up with the ruse she had going. Kami only knew what would happen if these two suddenly found out that their travel companion "Makoto" was a girl this whole time... Mikoto didn't want to think about it.
