𝕿he heels of Éléonore's sandals resonated throughout the Obyvatelé Park with every contact of her feet against the cobblestones of the pathway, the long frills of her white gown gracefully trailing behind her with each leisured sway of her hips. Her lenient eyes gleamed as she took in the sight of the exquisite greenery neighbouring her. It has not been long since she has been introduced to StarCreek, and nevertheless, she was quite intrigued by its beauty. It is assumed that there isn't an abundance of humanity living in this area, which explains its quietude, but then again, she hasn't properly encountered the presence of any lingering individual. A small coo vibrated out of her vocal cords as the crisp zephyr tousled her lengthened hair to and fro. 'The weather is just– outstanding!' she thought, the corners of her eyes crinkling as a gentle simper stretched her plump lips, continual giggles of contentment reverberating through her being every now and then.
Her ambling was concluded once her pupils; constricted from how the sunshine was meeting her gaze, spotted a nearby wooden bench. She smoothed the skirt of her gown before claiming her seat, relaxing her muscles as she leaned on the back of the bench. Her eyes fluttered closed, quietly humming a melody as she enjoyed the atmosphere while it lasted. 'If only...my mind was this...pacific...at all times..,' she brushed off the thought with a stressed sigh. "Perhaps..I'll remain here for a couple more minutes, it's a shame to not enjoy the current warmth of the sun before it shall vanish," she muttered, soon resuming her steady and incessant diversity of hums.

That morning had been quite sunny out as of late.
For now, the heavy rainfall had gone and the sun was out to warm the city once more. Princess Rei rode on her black Friesian stallion Thunder on through the park at a slow walk. She wore her usual royal attire which consisted of a medium violet dress that went down to her ankles with matching flats, tiara and all. She kept her long, raven black hair down in a low ponytail out of habit so it wouldn't be in her face. Rei carefully steered her stallion through the park down a short path, but stopped him short before a group of children passing by with their school teacher. "Whoa!" Rei spoke as she pulled back on the reins. The stallion obeyed his rider, giving a slightly annoyed whinny with a huff. Glancing around, she smiled and waved as the children all wanted to greet her, all giving a slight bow or curtsy in respect while others nearly shouted from the back of the group: "Long may you reign!"
This nearly surprised Rei as she got off of her horse. She politely thanked them, watching as their teacher lead them away to somewhere else for what she guessed was part of their daily lessons. With a small sigh, the princess led her stallion to a nearby tree and tied him to a thick branch so he wouldn't wander off. To her left, she noticed an older woman on a nearby bench.
"Good morning! Mind if I sit here with you, M'lady?" Rei asked her curiously,
managing to smile a little.

𝕰́léonore's eyelids shot open once the polite query reached her ears, her frame jolting forward. This beautiful feminine voice was never expected at all! Once her light grey irises were revealed, her retina's recorded the sight of the alluring youthful maiden– a youthful maiden whom, from her perspective, owns the fairest of skins, her long, beauteous black hair appealingly cascading down her back. Everything about her screamed elegance– especially the luxurious fabric she was donning. It seems that not only the nature was enchanting, but the people living on this land as well! Once she finally realized she was goggling for an awfully long while, she lightly shook her head while awkwardly clearing her throat. "My, my, of course, mademoiselle! Please, have a seat. I deeply apologize if I made you uncomfortable with my...staring. I was merely enthralled by your beauty!"she hummed, a light blush of embarrassment dusting her cheeks as the corners of her lips raised into a tender smile.

Without a word, Rei sat down beside the lady. To her, she appeared a bit older, but couldn't be quite sure. "It's alright, I don't mind at all!" the princess replied calmly with a small smile. Truly this was the first time she'd seen some other girl around her age with elegant clothing in a while, besides her friend Jeanette. Her gaze turned towards the lady, glad to relax a while. "I'm Princess Rei Riberu, pleased to make your acquaintance!" Rei added, curious to meet the new person with her in the park. It wasn't every day she'd get to see someone move into the strange and ever mysterious city of StarCreek. Regardless of it all, Rei was thankful that the weather wasn't raining again.
The princess held out her hand to shake the other lady's in greeting, patient as ever.

𝕰́léonore straightened her posture, eyes scrutinizing the young maiden in an inquisitive way as she calmly took her seat. She wasn't apprehensive about her curse ruining the moment as of now, for the voices were oddly at bay, though, they were still present deep in the back of her mind. She exhaled a deep breath as she felt the slightest bits of fear in her stomach at the idea of the situation going awfully awry. However, all of the negativity has dissipated into thin air once she heard the young maiden's gentle response, "It's alright, I don't mind at all!"
Both her eyes and her heart flickered with delight as her mouth curved into another beam, which seemed to increase once she thoroughly examined the young maiden's serene expression and relaxed position. A giggle was emitted from her lips, 'Such admirable gentility..,' she mused. Her ears perked up as her train of thoughts was interrupted once more when she heard the lovely young maiden's calm voice speak, "I'm Princess Rei Riberu, pleased to make your acquaintance!"
Éléonore's wonderstruck gaze properly interlocked with hers. 'Princess..? Perhaps, born in an aristocratic family like myself?' she pondered, followed by a mental facepalm at the stupid question which had a very clear answer. Well, it was pretty evident– her clothes do not appear to be just any clothes, the fabric used seems to be obviously high-priced. But that was not what was currently flabbergasting― a princess! Éléonore is, communicating with a princess! And once again, her train of thoughts came to a halt when she noticed Princess Rei's extended hand. 'How long did she hold it out?!' Éléonore's cheeks flushed a shade of cerise as she hurriedly placed her hand within the delicate one belonging to Princess Rei's.
"Likewise, M'lady..my name is Éléonore 'Antoinette' Alliaume...I answer to both Éléonore and Antoinette. Please, feel free to call me whichever you prefer," she simpered. 'Well..that was a failed attempt at elegance..,' thought Éléonore disappointingly, 'such a shame.' She bit her bottom lip, brows furrowing. "Please..pardon my awkwardness..I am not exactly a collected person," she apologized, anxiety resuming to uncomfortably simmer inside of her stomach.

𝕰́léonore blanched, feeling every inch of her muscles tighten up after Princess Rei's curious question. Her mouth fell agape, and closed just as it did, as she was speechless. "U-um..because..," her expression closed up as miscellaneous unwanted remembrances flooded her mind. Her hands clutched a fistful of her gown as she respired deep breaths. She straightened her posture once more, "It is because of my mother– she was forcing me to betroth someone whom I do not know just for the sake of the family's wealth and reputation," she grimaced, "I am only eighteen...I am still not ready. Above that, I do not want to bear the children of someone whom I am not willing to devote my heart to..and so, I fled the residence before the wedding day,"
Scrunching up her face, she tried to recall the rest of the events. "And then, I remember encountering someone..a woman...everything was blurred at the time, so I cannot exactly remember what occured, but she kept telling me she knew the place that would..bring me happiness...and I agreed, told her to escort me there in a fit of hysteria..,"
"Soon enough, I found myself in this place..without a memory of who that person was whatsoever..and now I'm stuck with a hellish curse that only makes...living...all the more worse," she mumbled, sadness clouding her eyes as her hands frantically trembled. She never wanted to recall these unfortunate events..but she knew she would have to nonetheless. Her eyes closed, basking in the morning sun as an attempt to calm her senses.

Princess Rei listened in silence to Eleaonore's story, noting how it really upset her. Without even a word, the princess gently wrapped her arms around Eleaonore in a hug as if out of habit. "How funny, I'm the same age as you. Growing up, I lived in my father's village for a while as a kid, long before I was crowned a princess. At the time, I had no idea who my parents were until I did a bit of digging through the village records." Rei paused for a bit, trying to collect her thoughts while letting go of her companion. "I was ten when I began living with my mother in her homeland. My little half sister and I get along pretty well." the princess added softly, not delving too much into detail. The last of Eleaonore's words almost sounded familiar however when she mentioned a mysterious lady. "Everyone who lives here have different curses, even me. A witch named Karmala did the spell on the people here out of spite. She plans for vengeance on the people here just because she lost someone important to her." the princess concluded, letting out a small, tired sigh. She wasn't used to explaining the town's issue with the evil woman, but it was better than not being honest.

𝕴f Éléonore could possibly tense up even more, then she is right now. Her eyes widened as she felt the young princess' arms encircle her physique in a kind embrace. Incoherent mutters escaped her lips– she wasn't at all used to physical contact..or, this kind of it. It's been a very long while since she was exposed to this kind of...warmth, and it is certainly a peculiar sensation. Éléonore's muscles finally went completely lax in Princess Rei's grasp as she gingerly returned the hug. Her hands loosely clenched the fabric of Princess Rei's attire while hiding her face in the crook of her neck as she tried to fathom this unfamiliar affection. Éléonore intently listened to the story Princess Rei narrated, deciding to suppress her curiosity and not asking questions about it, for now. She does not want to pour salt into wounds, if there was any. Though, she was glad she wasn't the only eighteen year old on this land– and she couldn't help but contemplate Princess Rei's 'how funny'. What did she perhaps think..?
Éléonore was both relieved and greatly disappointed when Princess Rei ended the embrace, for she was still fearing her curse's activation, and still longing to feel this pleasant foreign sensation. However, her interest was greatly enlarged even more than it was when the topic shifted to the curse. Karmala...? Éléonore frowned as she noticed Princess Rei's stressed exhale."That's..horrendous," whispered Éléonore, eyes expressing sizeable empathy mingled with loathing. "To do this to innocents whom have nothing to do with her...that's downright revolting," she sneered, toying with a lock of her white hair. "On a side note," she mumbled, "may I know what your 'curse' is, if you possibly don't mind?" she inquiringly questioned, flashing one of her gentle simpers. She was really eager to figure out after learning she wasn't the only one forced to live with a curse, which was a considerable reassurance.

While Rei listened once more to her companion, she noticed Eleaonore's expression change from one emotion to another. The princess had a feeling it was indeed best not to dwell on the problems of the city involving the evil witch. The princess thought for a moment, choosing her words carefully when Eleaonore asked a question. "I'm a vampire, though most people just see me as a human. Silver, quicksilver or blood from something undead are things I can't have. If either one gets into my body, I'll get very sick and possibly hurt someone if I'm not careful. The only way to treat it is giving me the antidote right away.; The alternative would mean my funeral." Rei explained simply, hoping she hadn't scared her new friend. Most times, the princess wouldn't say much about her curse, but in this case she'd make an exception. "Honestly though, I'm afraid of when I'm stuck contending with it. It's just scary!" she admitted, letting out a tired sigh. "I too can use magic, like my mother and sister. My job in this city is a doctor at the hospital. I'd rather help people than hurt them." the princess added, not sure what more to talk about for the moment.

𝕰́léonore was, again, astounded. At least, the vampire part was what amazed her, the rest caused her to feel extreme concern for her new companion's pyschological and physical health. Worry contorted Éléonore's facial features whenever she heard Princess Rei's exhausted sighs. "If you ever need aid..I'll always be available to lend a hand," soothed Éléonore with a smile, carefully clasping Princess Rei's hand. "I assure you that, I've experienced your pain, and I'd do everything I could do to help," she enunciated, releasing a small giggle, "and I'll make sure to pay you a visit whenever I feel ill!"
"Unfortunately," she dug her teeth into the flesh of her bottom lip, irises lowering, "I shall have to take my leave...I still have to go through some grocery shopping, I'm running low on ingredients," she confessed, eyes crinkling as her smile broadened, "if you have a place that you propose we meet in, then please, feel free to inform me! You should also show me how you utilize your magic, that'd be greatly exhilarating!" she exclaimed. "It's been a pleasure meeting you, M'lady. I'd be more than happy to encounter you once more," added Éléonore, reluctantly unclasping her hands from Princess Rei's. She was truly saddened to put an end to their undisturbed colloquy and leaving the young princess alone just because of her, from her point of view, suddenly rude departure.
