Eva was still trying to fix all the proportions in her coloring book when class begun. Humans had squishy parts? She wrinkled her nose. That didn't sound very pleasant---who would want any part of their body to be squishy? Slimes aside. Whatever. Humans were weird, no point in thinking deeper into it. She carefully wrote down notes on the side of her giant notepad as the other students talked, even drawing a careful diagram of the human body with corresponding squishy parts. She drew arrows of fear going into the heart for good measure.
As more students gave out their answers, she began to panic a little--it was hard trying to think up a proper fact about humans while taking notes, and she really did want one of those pretty gold stars. Eva finally gave up temporarily on taking notes---after all, half of them had to be crossed out afterwards when the professor corrected the students' answers. She twilled her pen around for a moment or two before carefully writing in huge letters:
Eva's Notebook Humans think card tricks are magic. In fact they have shows where other humans pay money to see someone throw cards around and pull rabbits out of hats.
She paused as she finished writing. She wasn't entirely sure if this was true. She had only heard it in passing years ago, but after hearing about all the squishy parts, all kinds of absurd things were possible, right? Eva held her notebook above her head, waving it a little, hoping that the professor would see.

Merry shifted a bit on Ahm's lap as he shifted in turn, head tipping back so she could look over her shoulder at him. "I dunno if the things I wear would work well with pockets." Her preferred styles tended to lean towards tighter clothing, or flouncy, airy material. With a thoughtful hum the ghoul capped the pen she'd been using, and picked a different color.
She'd blink as the grue made mention of the animal on the page, and her head tilted. "Dunno." Her knowledge of human things was very limited. "A pet?"
Right about then their teacher called for attention and began the lesson, and Merry obediently fell quiet, an impish smile gracing her lips. She listened intently, bright eyes flicking from the coloring book, to their professor, then back again as the lesson continued, and only looked up completely when it was requested they share any knowledge they had on the subject.
"Oh!" Hand on the desk, Merry rose up, practically kneeling in Ahm's lap now. "They can't fly!" It was probably very obvious, but it was soemthing the chimera was sure about.
----------
Tail curling around the legs of his chair, Jory listened in silence as their teacher began their lesson with a list of reading material they were required to go over in their free time(Zaire was going to love that), and then continued into anatomy.
Or, well. Partial and very basic anatomy.
He'd wait for a pause in the volunteered information before standing up himself. "They aren't made up of FEAR."
----------
Hadiyya, having kept to herself towards the back of the classroom, frowned a a very familiar dragon spoke up to ask their teacher a question.
Quietly and inconspiciously, the djinn rose from her seat and made her way along the back wall until she could take a seat at the empty desk to Aksaja's left.
Only then would she lift a hand before sitting up straighter. "They cannot breath under water.

His attention caught by a waving hand, Jason turned to the succubus, a slightly smirk appearing at her question. "I imagine they would be very squishy" he replied.
Zanth wanted to mention how some parts weren't very squishy at times but, again, children present.
And why were half the answers the students gave either completely wrong or disturbing as all get out?! It took much of Jason's self control to not go around explaining why half the answers were wrong. but he didn't want to be a smug know it all. Also the whole 'blowing his cover' thing.
He then followed Ace's lead, offering his own knowledge.
"They can be easily seduced." he spoke aridly. Not that he would know about seducing of course not.
-----------------
Sludge was almost on the tip of giving a answer, but then a tail was suddenly thrown in his face and he was thrown back, his chair landing on the floor and sending him toppling.
He did not appreciate this tail at all, and as such jumped onto his desk in a crouch, about to hiss angrily at the student who had slapped him and therefore made him forget his answer (that he hadn't had in the first place he just thought he did), when he suddenly thought of something.
" Huumanss....no like....being hit by tailsssss"
He still wasn't happy though.
------------------
After falling asleep again, Pokerus woke up with a jolt and realized oh s**t she should probably give her own answer now.
"Humans don't like being scared, and will fight back if threatened".
There. Simple answer. Minimal effort. Nice.

Upon Shiki's observation at the character, the book immediately flipped a page over and back, changing the strange symbol to an innocuous O.
"Yes, but what kind of various languages," the professor drilled, "Elaborate elaborate elaborate, that is the motto of learning."
Upon Keen's comment, Professor Rime suddenly hesitated. He lips were fully pursed, and it seemed she was irrationally angry about what he had said, before she controlled herself into a forced smile. "Yes Humans do indeed have a fear of dying. That is one of our jobs, as Reapers, which you at least should know about."
She didn't give Keen a sticker though.
.
"We are currently studying human fundamentals," Professor Rime responded abruptly to Aksaja, "When we have finished the fundamentals, you then we may move onto more advanced reading."
The Professor didn't quite seem to like that Eva was relying on writing everything down, her discontent obvious when she read Eva's writing very curtly. "There are different classifications of magic, my dear, though next time I would have you use your voice."
It didn't seem to matter to this Professor if Eva couldn't.
"Ah yes, Human history," here, Professor Rime looked wistful, before adjusting her giant blue framed glasses, "but that was a time of the past. A gold star, and a recommended reading for you on Humans, Actions and Consequences of Their Past."
Out of the three concurrent responses, it seemed only Hadiyya merited enough of an acknowledgement, as the professor handed her one gold star. "I'd recommend you also brush up on my book Humans and you: Their underwater equipment, though you may find the reading quite challenging for someone of your level."
"Tut tut!" Professor Rime exclaimed suddenly, using her magic snowflake wand to suddenly make the desk extremely slippery for TG. "Desks are for studying, chairs are for sitting."
Moonkitsune No point... for disobedience...
"We are repeating ourselves, please keep answers brief," exclaimed the professor, not impressed by any other answers afterwards. "This is a one hour class, we don't have time for conversations."

Professor Rime rang her triangle again, loudly, loud enough that even the rowdiest student would find their voice suddenly quieted. "Don't make me use my outside voice," she told a couple of rowdier students, pointing her snowflake wand back at the projector. It suddenly changed to another slide.
"As you know," she began, "Humans normally cannot see us, due to their lack of sensitivity to Fear. However, should you become in possession of a Fear-enhancing product, which are entirely illegal for children your age and current qualifications, they may be able to see you. This should only be used ever by professionals who are trained in their jobs."
She paused for a moment to drive her point clear, and then continued on.
"We are made of Fear. Humans are not. It is our duty to act responsibly with these actions, making minimal impact on their lives unless professionally trained. Lastly, I must emphasize that none of you are qualified to ever talk to Humans, regardless of the situation. This may endanger their lives, as well as put our existence at risk. Now, any questions before we move to the last slide?"

"Mmm, that is a good question." He looked her way, keeping his gaze on her face and not anywhere else. Even Jason could see what she meant by that, though he wasn't about to answer the question,
And then Jason was shot down by the teacher and he was honesty offended that he couldn't answer a question about humans correctly. He had failed his own species.
The next part of the lecture, in all honesty, sounded even more stupid because no one ever 'acted responsibly' with him when he was a kid, no every tme he saw shadows they would always try to reach for him, or make noises in the night, clawing at his bedsheets, or just generally pick on him every moment they could.
The whole thing left a bitter taste in his mouth.

Shiki blinked down at his page, shocked that it had changed back into a normal looking Romanji letter. He poked the page, tilting his head to the side. Letters were weird. He didn't like them so much. So.. boring really, he had liked the strange one. With a sad sigh he picked up a crayon and started coloring again.
"I never did find out what would happen if a human sees us." The Tiny kitsune boil flicked his tails and tilted his head. "Will we.. 'splode or something? What if we talk to them accidentally.. like talking to ourselves or something?"
His eyes were still locked on the page he was coloring, and after speaking the tip of his tongue stuck out from between his teeth as he concentrated a bit more than needed on keeping in the lines. It seemed the lines kept moving to keep him out of them or something.
He had only managed to complete two pages in the coloring book, though he had started more than that, it seemed that the pages themselves were not impressed enough to count themselves completed.
zoobey Total 2pages+1star =3points
Keen was a bit taken aback by the teachers upset. She blinked a few times. She wasn't a reaper, and had not thought of how reapers would feel, being a banshee she just knew that she would call out the time of death of a human and the reapers would respond to it in some way. The pale girl bowed her head and spoke softly. "I am truly sorry that I... I offended." Now she was regretting her vocal lessons. Being silent would have served her much better. She tapped her fingers on her desk, keeping her eyes on them until the slide changed and she looked at it. Don't speak to Humans. Well that was a mild issue, but it made sense when one was young like her. If someone was to hear her, they would react badly she supposed.. not that they reacted good as it was.
