At her room, Eline went over all the days events. For her first day doing the whole 'trainer' thing, it was really exciting. Though, she doubted it would continue being this way. Looking across her room she could hardly believe the progress she'd done. Two core, a full team of six Pokemon, and a good start to her Pokedex. Hopping up onto the bed to lay beside Eline was Titanium, her first ever Pokemon. "So, Titanium, you think we're destined for great things?" Eline pondered. The fox released a soft cry before it turned into a yawn and she nestled down. "Good idea." Truth be told, Eline herself was bushed. Trekking up and down Route one, and Iki town.. she was ready to slumber for an eternity. Pulling off her coat, she then slipped off her boots and nestled into the warm bed herself.
It was just a bit after daybreak when Eline woke up, the sound of scratching at her door. Inkaria, who'd slept in the second bed in the room rose up, opening the door, to let in Sulfur, behind him the Swoobat. It took a moment for Eline to register what was going on, but once she did, she jumped up to the edge of the bed. "Yo? Should you be awake and moving around?" Eline asked. The Swoobat bobbed her head, flying up into the air to Eline's side. 'I'm feelin' much better actually, Darlin'. Joy said it was just a bit of fatigue, and I might have over did it a spell, when I came to such a warm region.' Eline's eyes widened. That was... the Swoobat's voice? "You must be a psychic-type." Eline pointed out. Neon was up and at work before the bat could even reply. Her data spread across the Dex's screen, revealing all Eline needed to know about her species. "I'm glad to hear you're doing well now." Eline spoke as she read over the information. 'I'm glad yea found me right away.' The Swoobat replied. 'Actually, I came here not only to thank yea, but to ask if I could join you.' Eline looked up, tilting her head in thought from the request. "I don't see why not. The more the merrier." The Swoobat let out a sound, like laughter. Grabbing a ball from her bag, Eline used it upon the Swoobat.
Thinking back to last night, Eline felt she might have spoken to soon on the excitement level. Not even fully awake, and she already had another new addition to the team. A strong one at that. Leaving her room, Eline waved good-bye to Nurse Joy, thanking her for taking care of the Swoobat and Sulfur. After that, she was back outside... "Well, It wouldn't be so hard getting back up to Route 3, but Hau'oli City is closer." Eline pondered out loud. sending her fist into an open palm the fem pointed back north. "Let's stick to the plan." She stated, leading her team north.

Once Florence and his pokemon made it out of the professor's lab, Florence walked down the stairs of the porch and stopped right there as he reached up with his free hand that wasn't holding Blitzen close to his chest. He reached up and touched Moonlight who was still perched on his shoulder looking around curiously. He then looked down at Snowdrop who had taken her spot infront of them once more. "Okay snowdrop...We need to go to hau'oli city now. Mind leading the way please??" he asked curiously before the fluffy white vulpix let out a happy call before she started to head in the direction of the city just on the other side of the route they were on.
Florence followed her silently. Keeping a close eye on the blob of white that made up his precious little vulpix's figure in his eyes. He also took a calm relaxing walk as he listened to the sounds of the pokemon and the sea nearby. The sounds of wingull chirping over head and the little booms of the waves hitting the shore. It relaxed him as he walked with his pokemon.

▶ It was a beautiful day, in a beautiful region, yet Ciaran felt strangely tired. The caffeine from his tea was starting to wear off, and his outfit was uncomfortably warm. His Rowlet seemed vaguely concerned about his new owner. He chirped at his owner, looking up at him. “Sorry, a little warm is all.” He said, tugging at his scarf. Robin hooted at him, landing on his head, spreading his wings out to help block some of the strong Alohan sun from the head of his trainer. “I guess I should eventually invest in some Summer style clothing?” He asked with a nervous chuckle. His Rowlet hooted in stern agreement. “After we train you up a bit first. Plus I might get you something.” Rowlet hooted in response to him.
Ciaran started walking around, trying to spot some wild Pokémon. He saw some trainers in the distance, but didn’t want to bother them. He was more focused on training Rowlet here.

Alejandro wasn't all that pleased with having to go to Iki Town to see if he could find an Alolan Meowth. He'd seen a couple of them already, but they were way too strong for his team of newbies. That was disappointing. But, if he trained somewhere else for a bit, he should be able to come back and find what he wanted. Of course, he could focus on the weaker Pokemon, but running away from the strong ones just seemed like a hassle."Alright, let's get going to Iki. You three won't stand a chance against some of the Pokemon here.""Inx!""Go ahead and say you can, but when you're knocked out cold by an opponent, don't blame me. I warned you."
Florence and his pokemon made their way towards the direction of Hau'oli city. Snowdrop trotting ahead of them, once in awhile stopping to make sure her trainer was following before continueing down the path towards the city that made up the major part of the island. Florence started to hum a soft tune as he walked with his pokemon. Moonlight sat on his shoulder still, clentching the hair of her trainer in her claw like paws, and Blitzen sat in his arms. It wasn't that far into their walk when he heard someone nearby. Blinking he looked around before his eyes landed on a familiar blob of colors that was running up to him. "F..Fiona??...Is that you??" he asked as he squinted towards the direction of the blobby colors that were now dashing towards him.
"Big brother~~" she said happily which made Florence relax a little knowing his baby sister was the one he was seeing. Thought it caused him to be on edge as well. The only time he saw his little sister in the countryside of the island was when their parents had her come look for him to bring him home. Snowdrop let out a cute little call as she walked between the two siblings and pawed at Fiona's ankles to have her pick her up. "Why are you out here??...Did mother and father ask you to come look for me??" he asked a bit hesitant before Fiona sighed and nodded as she came to a halt infront of her elder brother before gently patting Snowdrop on the head.
"Y..Yes...Momma and papa wanted me to give you something. They just came in from Amanda when she heard that you were leaving today on your journey. She sent them over to the pokemon center and i had to pick them up for you. Here~" she said gently before offering the items to Florence. The elder male reached out and touched what felt like pokeballs as his head tilted to the side. "Poke-balls??" he asked curiously as Fiona giggled and nodded. "Mmhmm. They have pokemon in them that big sis hatched herself. Some from other regions as well. Ones a Fennekin. A fox fire pokemon, one's an Amaura, a ice dinosaur pokemon, and the other sis wanted you to have especially. Its a Rowlet. She said she heard that when it becomes fully evolved it could communicate with its trainer easily and that made her want to breed one for you." she said in a happy voice.
Florence blinked in confusion before he reached out and touched the pokeball capsules once more. Running his fingers over them before he noticed that they already had brale stickers on them. Obviously their elder sister had already named them and taken the liberty of customizing the pokeballs as well to help Florence out. Placing two of them into his shoulder bag, he then let out the rowlet from its pokeball as the grass bird seemed to fluff up its feathers as it shook itself of the sudden calling.
He looked down at the mix of new colors and knelt down to get closer to the owl pokemon. "Hello there Chicky??" he said gently as he reached out to touch her on the sides of her body. Blitzen having sat down on the ground next to him while Florence picked up the tiny rowlet and proceeded to stare directly at the pokemon with squinted eyes. Taking as much strain as he could to see what the other looked like. The pokemon tilted its head to the side before seeing its trainer smile and let out a happy coo as she fluffed her feathers up once more.
This made Florence chuckle before he held her in his arms and picked up Blitzen as well. He then stood up and let Chicky climb to his other shoulder that wasn't currently being occupied by Moonlight as he looked over to Fiona. "Thank you for bringing them to me Fiona. Tell Amanda and mother and father that i will take good care of them. I should get going now though. Its not wise to stay in one place where wild pokemon might take a shot at you." he said gently before Fiona nodded and went on ahead back towards their family house.
This was then when Snowdrop returned to her point of walking and Florence followed after her. Heading in the direction that Snowdrop led them in which was the direction of hau'oli city.

▶ After a bit of walking around, exploring the area, the trainer and Pokémon decided to sit under the scarce bit of shade. Ciaran removed his scarf and outer coat, shoving them into his bag, fanning himself with his hand over the heat. There was rustling come from the long grass all around him, and the sound of the wind through the palm trees was soothing. His Rowlet sat next to him, looking at him with inquisitive eyes. “I came from across the sea. You have Pokémon that came from Kanto here, with forms called Alohan I hear. I’m from Johto, the neighbouring region. We share a mountain with Kanto.” Robin seemed to be listening intently, nodding as his trainer spoke. “It’s much cooler there. Not as cold as some of Sinnoh I hear, but enough that it’s way too warm for me here. Plus I swear ghost Pokémon lower the ambient temperature around them… I spent most of my time in the ghost type gym, in the dark…” He was almost more talking to himself than his Rowlet. He was far from home, knowing no one, and here was an inquisitive bird listening to him ramble. “I almost wished you could talk back…” He said, looking longingly at his bird Pokémon.
“You’ll probably be able to when you’re fully evolved. I’ve had many a chat with ghost Pokémon. It’s actually a small part of why I want to be a ghost type trainer. Although I wouldn’t object to some dark type Pokémon too, but they don’t really talk.” He trailed off, enjoying the fact he was starting to cool off finally.
▶ Ciaran’s eyes were starting to droop as he sat comfortably under the swaying palms, his Rowlet hopping around him, just looking around. Out of the grass came a curious Slowpoke, who made its way towards Robin. “A Slowpoke? That’s a familiar face. I don’t need one, think you can take him?” Robin nodded, turning to face the Slowpoke.
Slowpoke, despite his name, was faster than the grass owl. He managed to get in a solid tackle on the bird Pokémon before he could even react. He squawked in annoyance. “Use Leafage, you have the advantage here.” He turned to look at Ciaran before nodding and sending out a volley of leaves at the slow pink Pokémon. The move was super effective. Everyone involved was surprised when he one hit it. “Well… Congratulations.” Ciaran said with a smile. He picked up the owl, throwing him up in the air in joyous victory. Rowlet hooted in joy, fluttering in the air for a moment before landing on his trainer’s head. “Feels good to win our first battle doesn’t it?” Rowlet nodded in response, smiling as well as a beaked animal could.
▶ “I’d like to stick around until either we catch an Alohan Ratatta or Meowth, or until you’ve gained a few levels, is that okay with you?” Ciaran asked Robin. Robin, happy with having won, nodded. “I think you’d like Johto. There is a lot of history in my home town, and a lot of ghost and grass Pokémon around there. My mother is actually a dancer there! She’d like you.” Robin noticed his trainer was gazing forlornly at the distance. He hopped down to his shoulder, nuzzling him slightly. “S-sorry… I’m a little homesick. Alola is such a culture shock to me—I. I’ll get used to eventually. Thank you.” He said, scratching him under the chin. “You’re also going to be pretty far from home soon too. Were you raised by the Professor?” Robin nodded, chirping happily. “Thank you for allowing me to be your trainer.” Robin smiled.
▶ Ciaran and Robin were playing a strange version of fetch with an apricorn styled stress ball when they heard some rustling behind Kukui’s lab. He put the ball back in his bag, picking up Robin and putting him on his head. There was a surprising amount of partly eaten boxes of chocolate in the trash behind the lab. Whether it was because the professor didn’t like the candy, or because he wanted to treat the Alohan Grimers to something special, Robin and he didn’t know. Robin was slightly panicked, because he was well aware rustling piles of food usually meant a Crabrawler was in it.
“What do you think is causing this?” He asked the owl Pokémon, who hooted a response that seemed to mean ‘beats me’. “Do Rowlets eat chocolate?” To which Robin nodded, hopping off his head to poke at the pile of candy. To the surprise of both, a Pokémon absolutely covered in chocolate popped out of the pile. “Ahhh!” Both screeched in sync.
The chocolate covered Pokémon tilted at them with a confused expression before digging back into the pile. “Is… is that a Bounsweet?” He moved forward, grabbing a towel from his bag and moving down to its level. “Let’s clean you up. Eating this much chocolate can’t be healthy.” He said, trying to wipe off the chocolate. He wasn’t familiar with Alohan Pokémon, but something seemed off about this Bounsweet. It was an odd colour and missing some of its leafage. “We should get you to a Pokémon center.” The Pokémon chuffed at him, eating more chocolate. “Come on.” He said, picking up the cherry styled Pokémon and putting her on his head. She squirmed and protested, before jumping off his head. “Hey!” He said, moving to catch her, but slipping on an empty chocolate box. His bag spilled forward, a ball rolling out and landing near the Bounsweet. She blinked, before waddling over and entering the pokeball. Both owl and human waited for a moment, watching the ball twitch before settling down.
“Did… did I just catch that?” Rowlet nodded. “I didn’t mean to… but… Okay.”
▶ As Ciaran was standing back up and putting stuff in his bag, Robin was looking towards the lab. A couple of boxes of chocolate came through the window from time to time. He watched the process with fascination. An unopened box of chocolate came flying through the window, but it looked so beat up, and dingy, that Robin didn’t initially realize it hadn’t been opened. He picked it up, barely, with his wings, surprised at the weight.
“What do you have there?” Ciaran asked, picking up the box. He made a face at the weight. It wasn’t super heavy, but it was clearly heavier than a standard box of chocolates. He had gotten boxes of chocolate every year from his mum, so he knew. There was a hole in the plastic wrap, which explained why the package was water damaged and old looking despite being technically still wrapped. Curiosity got the better of him, and he unwrapped and opened the box. Inside was a very dingy, very startled Mimikyu. She looked up at him, the eyes on her stomach narrowing. ‘You’re not Kukui…’ “And you’re not a box of chocolates…” She threw one of the chocolates at him, darting out of the box. “Hey, why did you want to talk to Kukui?” She stopped, turning to face him. Her eyes narrowed, and had she had an eyebrow it would have been raised.
“Um… Would… would you like to journey with us? I know I’m not Kukui, but I have goals to be a ghost type Pokémon trainer, and you’re the first ghost type I’ve seen.”
‘Why would I?’
“Because unlike the Professor, I can show you the world? I can bring you home to a gym where you’ll be worshipped? Ghost and a Pikachu? Morty would be ecstatic.”
She paused, looking as pensive as someone under a sheet could. ‘Worshipped you say?’
“He’s a ghost gym leader, so, practically.”
‘Fine… but you better not let me down human.’ Ciaran went to pick her up and put her on his head. She squirmed out of his reach. ‘NOT WHAT I MEANT!’ she hissed, digging through his bag until she found a pokeball she liked. ‘Pathetic, but this will do… for now.’ She entered the pokeball with barely a wiggle.
Rowlet lifted the surprisingly still good chocolates towards Ciaran. “You want me to take those?” He nodded. “…Okay.” He put the chocolates into his bag. “I was thinking, now that I have some Pokémon, we should go over to Ten Carat Hill. I hear they have Sableye over there.” Rowlet perched back on his head, hooting in agreement. “Let’s go then!” He said with a smile.

Practically leaping out of the lab with his new Popplio following him with matching enthusiasm, Mitsu just barely noticed another trainer that was heading inside. He managed to avoid running into her, thankfully, and gave an apology for almost doing so before he moved out of the way of the door so he wasn't blocking traffic. That would have been embarrassing."Okay! Let's see...."Marissa had told him a little about the region to help him get started, and she told him to be careful if he started training on Route 1; some of the Pokemon were extremely tough apparently. Did that mean Iki Town would be the best place to start training or did he want to risk it? Mitsu didn't want his Pokemon going up against one that was definitely going to toss them into next week."Hm....What do you think, Mizu? Stay here or go to Iki Town?""Iki?"Right. She didn't know what Iki Town was. He still had to to teach her everything. Well! What better way than to show her?"Iki it is! That okay with you, Hoshi?""Po~!"

As their walk towards Hau'oli City continued. Florence held Blitzen in his arms. Moonlight happily sitting on his right shoulder and Chicky on his left. He gently petted each one while Snowdrop continued their walk into familiar territory. How about we go get some malasada to celebrate the beginning of our journey?" he asked curiously before the pokemon all called at once at the thought of something yummy. This made Florence chuckle slightly before he let the alolan vulpix lead the way once more as they made their way into the city headed for their favorite shop.

Hoshi seemed to really like being carried. The way he rocked his head from side to side was adorable. As Mitsu continued towards Iki Town, his cell rang and he looked down at Mizu apologetically when she jumped out of her bag in surprise."Sorry, Mizu. I thought I turned it off. It's okay, though; it won't hurt you. Sullivan was out the door and hopping the railing once more to the ground below instead of taking the stairs, leaving that route for Junpei to scurry down. He waited a moment for the service Rockruff to catch up, giving him a smile before running a hand through his hair and starting on his way. Hau’oli City wasn’t too far off given the layout of Melemele island. He knew the islands like the back of his hand and the quickest way down to the city.
Which gave him plenty of time to dawdle. He tugged the pokeball off his belt, rolling it around in the palm of his hand as he considered his next course of actions. He’d meet up with his family to retrieve whatever it was they wanted to give him and then he could head off to try either the gyms or the trials. Oh sure, he would probably need to train a bit but he was hardly worried about that. With time came strength and all and he wasn’t worried about that right now.
