Carlos' smile was met with one back before the Dormouse ghoul went back to writing out her notes. A website created by ToTer's yet maintained by humans!? That was amazing! It definitely promoted good Halloween/Human relationships!

For a long moment, she was absorbed in writing her notes. That was, until a particularly... Morbid method of Fear gathering caught her attention... Looking up, she frowns as others pitch in more somewhat morbid Fear gathering techniques... The frown deepened slightly as her tail taps throughtfully on her chair once the professor described the figurative creature... All was well until the tearing flesh off bit...

Camilla understood that pain often equaled Fear... But much of these techniques sounded... fatal to the humans... As she listened on, she couldn't help but grimace at the other student's description of the beast... Camilla had been a human in the Knights Dream and gotten to understand at least the medieval human's psyche, also she's since met two humans! One of which was now a ghost unfortunately... But who also was now a friend! Maiming and killing Humans just didn't sit well with her... Plus, in Dormouse Monster Culture, it was even frowned upon to needlessly hurt a human. They weren't Rats after all! It was only socially acceptable to harm a human in self defense.

It was these feelings that guided the response she was about to make as she raises her hand. "I don't know about the human maiming part... But, I feel maybe like the original should have bulky limbs, sharp claws, and a huge spiked tail with wings alight with fire! Whereas the copies should be lighter with smaller claws, leaner limbs, and a lithe tail with regular wings! That way, they could chase their pray easier and tire it out until the original version can corner it!" she replies once she'd been called. She felt big and scary was a good way to scare humans and so was small and fast.

Camilla would have mused more on the whole maiming issue, but a surprisingly soft whisper from next to her draw her attention. "Dinner date?" she parrots softly with a curious tilt of her head. It took her a moment to remember that they hadn't gotten to eat the lunch she'd brought over that day! "Oh, a lunch date! Ok, we can schedule it after class!" she chirps softly with a merry tail wag. AJ's arrival and Taika's response made her blink curiously at the dragon ghoul. Did she have a bad experience with him? AJ so far had been nothing but friendly to her so far... Well, outside of that one time... But that wasn't anybodies fault...

His question made her blink in confusion for a moment, however... She'd been in that etiquette class with him and... Though she didn't care to think on that little... Event... She was part of the group that found the secret tunnel under the gym... "Um..." she starts in a confusion tone before finally smiling. "I've been pretty good! You?" she asks cheerfully as she decides to not remind him of possibly... Unpleasant memories...

Camilla could make lunch lol.

Lol, I know Camilla is small, but did AJ really forget she was there during the Bad Blood event?

Oh he'd really managed to mess up this time. He'd barely made it to the class in time thanks to his inability to figure out directions, and now they were getting into questions he had no idea how to answer. He wasn't really used to all the scary business. That had always been his brother's job while he had always been the one reading and studying. He really wasn't very good at scaring anyone. If he was to think of something to scare a human though, well incredibly gruesome was good but he always found it more horrifying if the creature took on the victim's appearance.

"W-what if it took on the appearance of the victim? At least face wise. Maybe copying whatever the human looked like to make them watch as their own image tore it to shreds or something," he spoke softly, not very confident in his answer at all. He was sure it was probably a lame response compared to everyone else's. He was over thinking everything about the question and had probably come up with a very lame answer. There were plenty of creeple who were much scarier than he was and definitely had come up with better answers as well.

As Steve tried to think of what would be really scary, a quiet comment somewhere behind him caught his ear. Turning around, his gaze fell on a shy boil and the wyvern smiled as inspiration hit.

"Ooh, what if it could copy the victim's image... only it morphed into what it would do to the victim's body? Like showing the victim decapitated, bloodied into non-recognition, or with their stomach ripped out?," Steve bounced in his seat excitedly while gesturing wildly with his winged arms, "Something like that chasing you... that would be pretty cool and really scary to see!"

The boil in front of him bounced around, giving a much more creative answer to what he had somewhat suggested. It sounded a lot scarier and he definitely approved of it. At least the strange wyvern boil had come up with something good.

"That sounds a lot cooler."

"I probably wouldn't have been able to come up with it if you hadn't said anything. I'm not too good with the whole brainstorming thing, so thanks!," Steve replied with a toothy grin.

How did Marosa not remember his sister?

More importantly, what had Cearney gotten himself into?

"How do you--" Cearney paused, rubbing his temples for a moment. A different approach? "She said she followed you, and that your father sent you away?" He noticed, out of the side of his eye, that Sayael had shrunk down in her seat. Clearly she didn't expect this to be Marosa's response. Cearney admittedly wasn't expecting it either -- but it was what it was, anyway.

Maybe they could just talk this over or something.

He wasn't really fully paying attention to the class, so he decided that volunteering an answer here probably wasn't the wisest idea. Cearney kept his hand down.

===================

Wait, did she do it wrong? Now the professor was asking for appearances but she offered one last time! Weren't appearances how some creeple scared humans? Hmm...

No matter! She would give the best appearance ever! Her thing from the last time still applied then, right? Well, sort of. Ebele tapped her chin for a moment, clearly thinking really hard on this, before her hand shot up once more to be called on. "I know I know!" called Ebele, just to make it clear she definitely knew, because she did, of course.

"It should have a lot of eyes!" Ebele's eyes got wide as if to show this. "And its creatures should too! Just eyes everywhere! Humans hate when there's a lot of eyes on things!"

Following Ebele's reply, Mil held up a hand and turned, retracting the projector screen and grabbing a whiteboard marker.

"All right. Let's change things up a little. Many of you have described a human monster, a creature that is scary because it is just a little too much like its prey. So let's split the two. Our 'helper creatures' will now have an appearance of their own that does not match their master."

She began to write on the board in large, neat handwriting.

"One final question. Now that we know what this creature does and how it manifests itself, it needs a name. What would you call it?" She seemed particularly interested in their replies this time. Creating creatures was fun and all, but giving them a name cemented them in history, made them real. The Kid flapped once as he descended to the floor and began rummaging in Dr. Wagner's bag, disappearing behind the desk once he had what he was looking for.

Last part! Sorry for lateness! This class will end tomorrow, the 20th, at around 10am-12pm EST, after which you can take your time exiting.

This time, Mil wants something very simple. A name for this creature you have all created. You may give any name you'd like and it will count for having contributed during this part, but if the name is over around 10 letters, it will most likely not be used. You may give two names, if you believe the main creature and the helper creatures should have names of their own. As always, post the names in bold red.

This is your last chance to enter the class!

When AJ noticed her, Taika's face turned a bright reddish color as she looked away from him. "N-Not this again!" She mumbled to herself as the Chamaeleo Draco ghoul trying to act like she hasn't noticed the serpent dragon boil at all. "T-That's be fine with me, Camilla." Taika quickly replied back to the Dormouse ghoul. "Also, is that Cheshire Cat boil your boilfriend?" She asked as she was trying act like she hasn't even noticed serpent dragon boil coming towards them. After a few seconds, she rose her hand up. "What about a name like... The Stalker" She told the teacher as she lower her hand. When AJ was standing next to her, Taika slowly looked up at him with an owlishly expression on her face. Her cheeks were still red like a beat.

Naming it. Even though he'd gone back and forth between losing and gaining interest as the teacher went on, this particular task was easy, and for a single moment it actually caught his interest. After all, names were of rare importance when it came to things like the ability to scare. He didn't think his name was very scary, but he hadn't named himself, either. He made up for it in teeth and claws and personality - but if he could give this monster a head start in his scaring abilities, he thought that perhaps it was, just once, worth the actual effort to give it his attention. So he sat up straight. He focused. He attempted effort.

Gabby took his time thinking of a name that would chill a human to the bone. "I vote.. Inevitable. So they know there's no escape."

A name, a name. Names were always hard. Devoss whispered something and she liked it. "The Hive?" It sounded good to her. Since it was kind of live a hive mind with it's minions. She was sure others would think of better names, but at least she tried.

Kamakura raised a brow at all the collective features that went into this thing. Rubbing his chin thoughtfully he leaned in as he considered what to name this thing.

His ears laid back slightly before speaking. "I'd say...the Bone Flayer or something like that?" He offered. "Or just Flayer alternatively." He added after a moment or two, either seemed pretty fitting. So had some of the other suggestions he supposed.

Carlos hummed along. He liked the little familiars more than the creature itself. A confusion and queer array of parts.

"Hobble snatch

Bend a part." he murmured to himself trying on words. No these didn't feel right.

"Stumbler and Squiggles "

No a hobble snatch sounded good. He liked the way it rolled of the tongue. but what about the creatures.

what had a long neck and tentacles?

Slither tongues. Yes that would do.

"A hobble snatch and slither tongues." Carlos offered. did it make any sense? No. But neither did their creature and that pleased the Cheshire cat.

Indu had been frowning and silent for the last question. Was this insufferable teacher going to respond calmly to everything? Of course the first techniques had been untested, but they had been refined over years of practice before being presented to naive young ghouls and boils. That was the point - that there was a buffer between the cutting edge and the classroom made up of experienced trick or treaters who could safely refine techniques using their knowledge and training. She wanted to stand up and give the entire class the whole of her mind, but she also wasn't in this to get detention.

Her lips twitched, but the enthusiastic babble that rang out from other students clearly signified that none of them gave a flip what Indu thought. They just wanted to sit around and yell out words that didn't make any sense - underlying moral philosophies of this teacher's standpoint be damned. None of what they were suggesting was modern either, just gibberish. She turned in her seat and shot the cheshire cat an accusing look, repeating her thoughts out loud, albeit in a low voice to avoid the teacher's notice. "That's not even a real name, you know? It doesn't make grammatical sense." She gave a prim toss of one of her braids. "You do know what grammar is, don't you?" Obviously not, part of her mind replied.

phantompanther13
calling your cat out, fight me

Turning back, she raised her hand and eyed Dr Mil, ready for round two. The thought that had previously flashed through her mind, that none of these concepts were cutting-edge or modern, had given her an idea. It was time to approach the situation indirectly - from the exact opposite standpoint of where she had been before. When she spoke, her voice was laden with innocent curiosity and wonder. "If we're supposed to be making a modern monster, shouldn't we use new untested scary words to name our monster? Everything students are offering are based off ancient, primal fears, or concepts that have exited for centuries. Why not -" Indu cast around for some words that, while listed by humans as blood-curdling, were still undeniably stupid and nothing that she'd name anything in her right mind. "- Climate change? Googlezon? Chemtrails? Aspartame? Evolution?" The faint hint of smugness in her voice challenged the teacher to backpedal on her glorification of novelty. Sometimes, or all of the time, older was better, jack damnit! And she'd not leave this class until at least a concession was made towards her stance.

Camilla had returned back to her note collecting as the suggestions continued to come in while she waited for Taika's or AJ's response. Every now and then, she'd look up if she heard a familiar voice or a interesting suggestion till finally, she put her phone down as the teacher spoke.

So the copies looked different from the original now? Interesting! Slowly, her tail begins to sway musingly as a hand goes to her chin contemplatively once the question was posed: What to name the beast? First, she needed to picture this creature. The picture she finally gathered of the original created creature was- A large dragonic beast with a long lithe neck, bulky strong limbs that had large sharp claws attached, fire coated wings, spikes down it's back and tail, many many teeth, and many eyes. She had a similar view of the copies but instead of being dragonic, she saw them as being more mammalian, maybe wolf like, with a coat of fire, huge fangs, eyes and claws with spikes down their back. The corrupted wolves from the mountains in the Knight dream... Certainly had been troublesome...

With her view of the creature established, she now mused on the name itself. It lived in the mountains, used fire, had a monsterous appearance, had minions to corner and torture it's prey... Finally, after a moment more of thought, she nods to herself and raises her hand. "I think the original should be called a Mountainous Firebiter, and the copies Flaming Swiftlings!" she says cheerfully once she was called upon! She liked her names, but the others were very good too!

Her tail wagged happily as she listened to other creeple's responses, however, Taika's suddenly flustered sounding voice soon caught her attention. Curiously, the Dormouse tilts her head slightly as she listens to her neighbor stumbling over her words... That was weird... Was Taika suddenly feeling shy about something? Camilla would have mused on that thought longer if not for the dragon ghoul's hasty asked question. "Carlos? My Boilfriend?" she parrots back curiously before smiling warmly and laughing a bit! "Heh, no! He's one of my closest friends though!" she explains cheerfully with a merry tailwag!

The Dormouse ghoul had no romantic interests as of yet, and frankly might never have any. Romance, while beautiful and wonderful to see with other creeple, just didn't catch her fancy. Ontop of her natural lack of interest, her Brother was due to inherent the family wealth, so that meant Camilla wasn't pressured to start a family. This also meant, she was a tiny bit innocent on the matter... Just a bit...

Lol, poor flustered Taika!
