Alright, looks good ^^ In the future, feel free to put them all in one post, so it doesn't take up too much room in the thread, or risk having people post in between rounds : ) Vigilia or I will post Brock for you in a moment~

I think Valerie would probably use the Fairy move with Mawile :0

But to address the overall math, I'm copy-pasting this from the battle thread

Base Attack - this is the damage that the move does by itself, without any alterations
Level Attack Bonus - this is the buff they get from their level (ten less than their level, always rounded down, etc). Think of it as a stat
Positive/Negative Attack Stat Changes - raised/lowered attack/special attack, etc
Weather Attack Boosts/Debuffs - If there is any weather at play, this is where it would be added
Ability Attack Boost - self explanatory
Held Item Attack Boost
Effectiveness - this is where effectiveness (.5, x2, etc) is added in
Opponent Level Defense Bonus - the opponent's 'defense' or 'special' defense stat is then subtracted
Opponent Positive/Negative Defense Stat Changes - and any raised/lowered attack stat done (1/10 more damage/less damage, etc)

So for Houndoom's Inferno it would be

Base Attack - 100
plus
Level Attack Bonus - 60
so 100 + 60 = 160, plus
Positive/Negative Attack Stat Changes - N/A
Weather Attack Boosts/Debuffs - N/A
Ability Attack Boost - N/A
Held Item Attack Boost - Megastone, 1.3
so 160 x 1.3 = 208
Effectiveness - x 2
So 208 x 2 = 416
Opponent Level Defense Bonus - 40
416 - 40 = 376
Opponent Positive/Negative Defense Stat Changes - NA
So -376HP from first Inferno attack.

And then you always round down for damage, regardless, so burn would only be 72 : )

First off the Fairy Type move was just added, as such it seems like no one else was close to challenging her.

Secondly what does this mean then? I need to re-do everything?

Y'okay, I'm just saying that should be adjusted o.o

And yes, this is the order the moves go in, so you should follow this order for the moves to calculate the damage.

How will that change it? Will Houndoom faint before I switched him out? Will Muk lose as well because at the end of the battle both Pokemon survived with more HP

You have to follow the system, dude o-o The outcome is important and all, but the damage is obviously hugely different, even if it's in your favor. I'm sorry, but we can't have people doiing battles wwith the wrong math and getting badges for it.

Then why do all the rounds have to be in one post? Going back and fixing it over and over and over again ends up losing time to do other things

You would have to do whtat whether they were in several posts or one... it actually saves time to have them all in one, so you only have to go to one window to edit it. If you want to edit them, battle by battle, and have us confirm them as you go, that's fine, but if you do it in separate posts it A) spams the threads, B ) makes it harder to follow because we have to scroll back and forth between posts to review the battle summary and check the math, C ) risks people posting between those posts, which is very interruptive to the battle, and scatters the focus.

I'm going to be honest, this isn't fun. I'm glad you were able to help me get all the badges in a region but I'm not doing it again. Part of me wanted to get them all for the achievements but it's not worth it.

Looks good! I'm sorry you're not having fun with it, but we can't really change the battle system right now. We just had a poll and te majority voted for the current system, but if it's any consolation, we will likely continue to check in with people, and do another poll in a few months as people use the battle system more and more.
