Riot's gaze remained focused on, Nikita as her stance changed. Ear's bounced as he faintly heard a cute little chip from her. Her tail crooked, repectfully.

Wait. That actually worked?

A smile couldn't help but slip on the obviously expressionate Tahtil, as he quickly wiped up the Surpise on it. His side remained rested on his side of the 'wall' of the shelter. Though with his size, his paws easily touched the other wall-which could be called his wall as well.

Riot's head tilted only slightly as Nikita looked about the hole of the cave, then back to him.

Hmm, right. There didnt seem to be much room for her.

Stretching out his back paws, Riot shifted the cave wall out a little more for her and with a little shift, he inched himself closer to the more 'his' side.

"Sorry, " He breathed. " look's like I didn't take my fathead in account too well." Riot spoke sincerly with a smile, as he had tried to give her more room.

Once room was made, Nikita carefully made her 'spot' in the shelter-cave-rock. Her soaked frame than just as carefully curled around itself, and the almost left behind ruby, in an attempt to keep some of her own body heat from escaping. Leaving the rain, one could remember how cold it was without dry fur.

Though defeated in appearance and spirit, Riot's comment did earn an inward smile and a soft breath (would be chuckle). He never took his fat head into consideration, he had to always be reminded of such a thing. At least that had not changed.

"... " Nikita's breath held as she thought to apologize herself for the outburst. However, the words were lost to another crack of thunder.

It would be best to not say anything along the lines.

"...Thank you." Nikita near whispered before burying her nose under her subtly trembling paw. Her frame was soon to join in that annoying shiver that came with that dreaded chill and caused her frame to curl about itself all the tighter.

As Nikita curled into a tight ball, Riot's watchful gaze remained on her. She was trembling, the water crying from the sky had drenched her Firekin fur. His maw twisted a little in thought as he tried to think of an effective way to dry her and help give her warmth.

Nikita's 'thank you' was answered with a mopping up of fur around the back of her head. Though in such a small range of movement, there was no way he could dry her compleatly. Unless...

Slowly backing out of the cave, Riot did so in small inches to not deturn Nikita as he shifted. Rain trickled over the back side of his fur, as he hopped around to the front of the cave. Quickly and mind fully, Riot heavy paws and claws moved and dug into the earth. While working on the hole, his thoughts scooted another rock wall next to the wall he had been laying against. As that rumbling was compleated, his thoughts brought up a bridge of cover to join with the roof he had created. Leaving a little hole to the sky for ventilation. The trunk that was nearby was also moved around to help break wind from blowing away any flame.

Riot's breathing quickly became worked up and steady as he worked as quickly as possible, to make a fire pit. If the quick digging wasn't enough, the telakanious was starting to get rather wearing.

With a heaved breath, paws moved from the fire pit, and his thoughts gathered at the follage earth under their dry cave. Placing it in the hole, Riot's large body moved around and covered the hole to keep wind from runing his plans. Two rocks gathered his mind stuck them together, in hoping to ignite the dry brush.

Riot's kind lick to the back of NIkita's head caused her nose to uncurl from under her paw and turn upward. Crimson eyes glanced back to watch him carefully. Thankfully for him this didn't end up with another PTSD freak out. Riot had done well to pull her from that, for the time being.

As he shifted and begun to work about as a busy bee, Nikita uncurled her trembling frame to watch what he was doing carefully.

It would be a lie to say she wasn't impressed by the home improvement taking place before her eyes. He was able to move these massive boulders as if they were mere stones. She sat back on her shaking haunches than curled her tail tight around her paws. What was he doing now?

...oh...

With a roll of her shoulders she quietly made her way beside Riot as he worked with the stones. This she understood well.

Using her own telekinesis, she tried to take over the rocks so she could help him make a proper fire. Nikita had figured this one out by accident once when head-butting rocks back at Morning Star's camp.

(and with this stick and their highly evolved brains! They create.... FIRE!)

Come on...

Riot rumbled in his thoughts, he needed to get the fire going for Nikita. In a easy effort, as he felt the rocks pulled from him he turned his head to look over at the shivering Nahtil. Easily he let her have them, no doubt she would be better at such a thing. Turning his body he blocked more of the entrance of the cave. Giving Nikita more room and keep too much wind from cycling in their little camp.

Paws moved on the earth as he swept away the dug up earth out side, not wanting to create a pool of mud. As that was compleated, Riot pulled his thoughts a bit more to work on extending the roof to cover more of the 'entrance', for he was getting wet where he sat, and with Nikita helping he could work on something else. Gathering a few dry slivers of wood from the side of the log.

Satisfied, with the home improvement, and slabs of wood. Riot released a soft slightly worn breath as he rested the wood next to Nikita. She was fire after all, she got this.

Blue eyes watched her work, carefully. Poor dear was shivering, he would ask to sit with and around her to help keep her warm, when the fire was started.

Within moments of taking over the creation of the fire, Nikita managed to create the so desire fire. Which, she immediately moved to care for it as if it were a young cub needing tender puffs of air. She tried her best to not allow her shaking breaths to affect how careful the fire was tended to. As a fire kin, she could tolerate heat very well. However, as a fire member she could not handle the cold nearly as well. In fact she was more sensitive to being affected by it.

With another shaken breath the fire was soon to spring to life. Much to Nikita's relief. It took a moment to get the fire going to a satisfactory state, but it was managed.

Once the fire was taken care of, Nikita looked back to Riot and the work he had done on their fort. Crimson eyes worked to steady her vision from her body's involuntary trembling, as if it were tryingto start its own fire. At least there was heat now...

With a deep breath she turned toward the flickering flame. Her tail curled ightly around her frame while she begun to try and groom the water from her fur, starting with her up-turned paw. She had to work past a trembling tongue and a constantly moving as if trying to escape the tongue.

Both ears swivled back toward Riot, listening intently to his movemets or words if he spoke again.

As the fire sprang to life, Riot's ears swivled forward as his eyes widened in excitement. Fire, she had created it so easily, not too much surpise-she was fire after all.

"Nicely, done." Riot smiled, praising her for the skill to get the fire started. It wasn't a easy task to do in the storm.

"Can I help?" The large Balam politely asked, his large frame shifting slightly. Of he could sit there and just keep the wind for getting in...though it really wasn't needed, but he would let her have her space if she wanted it. He just wanted her to be dry faster.

Dark brown ears remained posied and attentive to her direction. If she didn't want the hell, he could always start grooming himself-but she was the one that's body was extra sensitive to the water...

NIkita paused mid-lick as Riot commented on on their fire than proceeded to offer help in drying off. Her wobbling paw seemed to shake more in its suspended state while she looked over to Riot through her drenched curtain of fur. Promptly her tongue was returned to her mouth. Given what had happened within these past few days alone, she would normally not have been so open to the sugestion. She still did not feel worthy of such attention.

In this case, her shivering body seemed to be making all the demands. Slowly her head bobbled up and down.

"... p-pleas-se..." She piped.

Another flash of light tore through the sky and was promptly responded by a menacing grumble that shook the earth below. The sudden boom caused her ears to swivel back. Nikita could hear the curtain of water thicken its assault on the leaves and mud. It caused her to shiver all the more. Swimming was nice, she liked that... but the constant rain was a chill she was usually not fond of. Not when the weather was turning away from the long summer days.

The flickering of the fire was a nice caress to the front of her frame, however, it left her back all the more chilled.

As Nikita answered Him, Riot wasted no time in shifting himself. As he did, a large bolder took his place in blocking the entrance. The earth around him seemed to listen rather easily and effortlessly to the Tahtil, with a certain amount of effort from him.

Moving around Nikita, Riot sat letting his dry underside face her back. His chest, and neck was untouched by rain. The magus sat in such a manner, that she could use him for warmth of she wanted to. It wasn't something he forced, but steady worked on drying some of her harder to reach areas. Pink tongue mopped up and gently picked up the dampness that had gathered on the back of her head and her sensitive ears.

Large paws rested on either side of Nikita, just because his sitting stance was so large, his frame could easily engolf her own. Closing his eyes, in the motion of the drying, a soft purr rumbled soothingly from the living mountain. He had to keep in mind to remind her about the meal that was nearby. The food would be good to help her warm next to the fire when they where done.

At first Nikita tensed to the quick response of Riot's attentiveness. Her hackles rose as best they could past the heavy mess of water coating her back. Mentally she had to reassure herself that there was no danger, she was alright, Riot was not going to hurt her, she was no where near in the situation she was in before. As he silently tried to reassure herself her breathing halted, as if everything was on ice and a mere breath would crack it.

Once warmth begun to return to her frame and the uncontrolled shivering begun to slow, her muscles begun to relax as best they could.

Finally her held breath was released in a soft puff through her nostrils. Her bead leaned forward toward the fire while her haunches remained firmly planted on the ground. The fire crackled and popped before them as it enjoyed the mostly dry foliage it was provided.

Her ears perked backward to listen to the rumbling purr behind her. Unintentionally she begun to scoot backward small fraction by small fraction with each time she adjusted her sit. It was such a calming noise. Cain had used it at first to lull her, but this purr was different. It was used more often. Now that she thought of it, Cain's sounded more like claws being drug against rocks...

"There is some...food...if you are...still hungry." Riot managed past the rumble of purrs and laps against her drying fur. Dutiful, he worked to comfortly dry her fur with out being too uncomfortable. He was vary sensitive to the 'brittle' feeling she was giving off, that every move he made had to be careful as if tredding on thin ice.

As he was though, Riot raised his head a little-as much as he could. His tongue quickly cleaned up his maw. He had taken notice of the spaced she had inched closer too, and voted to not move from or closer to her. Riot would let her make that decision.

His large tree branch-like tail tip rose and fell in thought. Opening his eyes, his sight looked to the fire and down to Nikita. Eyeing her features carefully, that where lit up by the glow of the fire.

"Is that better?" Riot spoke, wondering if there was more he could do for her.
PostPosted: Tue Nov 04, 2014 2:45 pm
Nikita had finnaly stopped trembling from the chil and begun to feel more her comfortable warmth again. Her ears bounced to Riot's offer of food and, now that she could focus on other things rather than how cold it was, she turned and angled her head just enough to see what she could of Riot's face. There was food?

Her frame moved ever so slightly with each careful lapping of Riot's tongue against her fur. Well, he seemed to be having fun...

All attention moved back to the flicker of the fire.

"...Have you eaten?" Nikita asked softly, almost absently, while she watched the fire.

She had not noticed where the caracs was, nor was aware (past the startling smell of blood) that he had eaten anything himself. Her own belly silently protested her inquiry with a slight pinch, but not enough to cause a rumble. She was hungry, but not enough to be crippling or painful.

Riot's purr contuined to softly rattle after he had spoken. Ears twitched to her answer.

Had he eaten? Why, yes he had. She was so polite, and selfless...

"I have," Riot rumbled with a relax tone in his voice, "The rest is all yours." The magus spoke, not that it was much-but he did leave her apart of the kill. His tail flicked in thought. The Tahtill wasn't about to say that 'it wasn't much', because he knew that would possibly bring light his fumble in size. Something he was still learning to get use to, and was really starting to notice.

With a turn of his head, Riot drew the remaining deer carcuss to Nikita's reach so she could eat.
PostPosted: Tue Nov 04, 2014 3:47 pm
Nikita lifted her head in a slight nodd as Riot said he had already had a meal. Fair enough. She had only been passed out and out of controll for how many hours now? There was also the slight recall of him leaving in the first place to hunt before she had passed out again. It wasn't storming than...

Nikita glanced over to the deer carcas as it was brought closer for her to enjoy.

"..." She couldn't help but blink at the tiny meal and what was left of it. Crimson eyes trailed to Riot briefly before looking back at the deer. Really than? He could probably down over ten of these and still have room. Maybe he had?

With a soft breath she tilted her head so she could see more of Riot.

"... are you still hungry?" She inquired almost sheepishly.

Not that she was dissing on his kill. Maybe thre was more? Maybe there was more and he had already had his fill. Surely there was more at some point.

"Don't worry about it, Kita." Riot answered with a smile, he was still hungry-but it seemed like he always was since that fight against Cain.

"It's all for you." The Tahtil was kind to say, he didn't want her to go looking for a meal-not in this weather. They could find something in the morning, on the way to where ever they where heading.

"I know it is not a lot but it's all I have to offer you right now..." Riot spoke, his ears lowered back.

"I want you to have it." He told her letting a smile rest on his maw. It would make him feel better knowing her stomach that was much fuller then it was. Hopefully, tomorrow they both could have a full tummy. Riot's tail roll and fell in thought, he was determind to find her something big tomorrow.
