Was that the rainbow one he danced with last year? Great Telrunya it was. And she was just as loud and bubbly and hyper and annoying as last time. Well good! She could use a real tone down. Have fun being em....

No. No no no... she was still happy! Auhg. What was with her, was she just broken? Oh. He got it. "Nice shot Aglaia..." he sighed before grabbing two more arrows and loosing them from his bow.

Still, he felt rather sorry for Voluptas....anyone but Rainbow Crazy Pigtails.

His laugh mixed with hers as they whirled about, oblivious to the flurry of motion around them as pae launched themselves at other pae. "But sliding is what I'm good at!" He would oblige of course. The male slowed his speed as he texturized his feet once more so the friction wouldn't cause him to double over. Dameon reached out a hand again to Starry for her to rejoin him, a smile dancing already on his lips. "I'll try not to step on your feet."

Was that...An arrow? Ruby's raised a brow for a moment before sulking back into her drink. She couldn't believe...Just..How. How did she gt SUCKERED into these! Urrrg there were those horrible hooved ones EVERYWHERE! "You owe me....Big time." Ruby grumbled to her companion.

"Relax, this will be over before you know it and we can go home!" Rosette chimmed up to make her friend feel better. It didn't work. "Look, the hooved and the fish have what I need...At least that's what Harveer told me...We just need to get one of each drunk, take what they have and oops it was like they lost it in the drinking last night! No one will know! So which one do you want to try for?"

Rudy took a swig of her drink and glared at her friend. "The hooved ones. I'd rather smell like barn than fish."

With a beautiful and bouncy little pink angel on his arm, Zoran entered the ballroom. Why was here again? Last year was terrible. But a sideways glance at the shiny bouncies reassured him that it was worth it. Sure he'd probably end dead because of those things, but was that such a terrible way to die. He only hoped he could be touching them at the moment of death. He'd die with a smile on his face.

Fraise agreed to come so she couldn't have been that afraid of this place. But at the first sign of grey or purple smoke, he was grabbing her and high-tailing out of the place.

Aglaia was watching Poliahu become more and more popular. Soon her idol wouldn't have time for her! She just nodded, and absently thanked Pothos for his compliment. Oh! "I didn't mean to hit our niece. Don't tell Eros, please!"

Terran had gone to pick up Moana from the lake, meeting her as close to where they ran into each other that he possibly could off of memory. Small talk filled the long walk and the occasional assistance to help Moana get used to her land legs. Terran had even dressed up for the occasion, although not much considering he didn't want to make a conspicuous exit from the tree. A small bow tie had been easy to conceal though.

As they entered the familiar party room, Terran instinctively reached for Moana's hand. To comfort him or herself, either, or even both. It was strange being in this room again, last time they were here they were being plucked from the dark maze by Artemis. The token he had from her was wrapped around his wrist since it didn't go with the bow tie. Hopefully he wouldn't need her help again this year.

Terran simply hoped that Moana was not regretting coming with him, he turned towards her and gave her a reassuring smile. So far it looked like the party was getting off to a good start. Pae seemed to be having a good time all around them.

Poliahu had come to the party on a whim. There were so many pae here she was surprised since she had never been much of a social fae and was surprised when a Pretty pink Pae she was so cool Poliahu could not believe she was coming over to her and then she spoke, Poliahu blushed "Thank you, No one has ever said that to me. But you are very amazing your self with your pretty wings and amazing hair. How do you do that?" She was not able to say much more since she soon felt another pinch in her arm.

She turned to see A Fauny coming at her she was so fast and magnificent as she flew. "Your awsome." She said as soon as Spitfire landed "You moved so fast it was almost like you teleported over here. You must be famous for your amazing speed."

Still not used to these land legs, Mnemo nearly trips over everything. Her little tentacles that stayed after her tail became legs were not helping matters. She'd never been so far from home, so this was a very scary experience. But she was glad to have her best friend with her. Anxo made everything less scary for her, and gave her the courage and confidence she needed. He was truly a blessing in her life.

She carefully, and slowly scuttled into the ballroom, carried a large bowl of water with two little kissing fish. She didn't want to disturb the little lovers. She'd overheard them whispering some rather romantic things to each other, and a few naughty things that made her blush.

With the gentlest of movements, she managed to set the fishbowl on a table by all of Venus' other gifts. She really hoped the little fish would be okay there next to the mountain of presents. She needed to find this lady who claimed to be her grandmother now and maybe let her know she was mistaken. But she could still keep the kissing fish. "You two behave. This lady is very important and requested you personally. I am sure you'll have a good home here."

She hoped they weren't requested to be dinner.

"I need to find this grandmother lady, Anxo."

Noisy, noisy, noisy! What was the deal with all this noise? The demonic made his way towards the culprit that disturbed his peace. Imagine his surprise when he finally arrived. Arrows zipping through the area, pae launching themselves at others, dancing, laughing, What kind of madness was this? Beau couldn't help but stand in awe, eyes wide as he was too intrigued to leave but too wary to enter.

One more time. Poliahu totally made her day with the compliments so she was satisfied and feeling less guilty.

Two more arrows locked and loaded. This time she'd aim for specific targets. Wouldn't matter though. Her thing was dancing to entrance, not shooting pae to entrance.

Starry grinned, all but jumping on him for that dance. She was far more than excited for a standard dance. It was strange enough that she wanted to dance without the slick soles of his feet.

"And I'll try not to step on yours." The female demon laughed, resting her head on his shoulder. "Sometimes, a dance like this is extremely nice." Not acting like they were young. Just as though they were in love. Well, they were, but that wasn't the point. Starry knew she wasn't a spring chicken anymore, and Dame was just as old as she was. Let the young ones have all the motion, Starry was content to just have her Dame.

Well, the boring part was over at least. No offense to the mortals or her nieces and nephews; just...sitting still for hours to judge a dancing contest was not Artemis' idea of a good time. She'd only agreed to do Venus this favor because it was her engagement party. Hopefully, now that the boring part was over, this celebration might get a little more interesting.

Just not as interesting as last year. She'd rather not have to go rescue Pae again from Venus' labyrinth. Interesting, but safe then. That would do.

Besides, she was pretty sure her daughters had been invited as well this year. She'd rather nothing dangerous happen while they were around...

A sharp, brief prickling feeling set her fur on edge and she whirled around with eyes narrowed in suspicion. Her gaze fixed on a glorious blue winged Pae whom it took her a moment to recognize as her great-nephew, Adelphos. Err...Anteros' boy, right? Puzzled, she wondered...he wouldn't have...

A second pricking feeling sent her spinning in the opposite direction for her gaze to fix upon an orangish, bird-like Pae'il who was heading towards her with a grin. She paused, blinking in confusion, then dismissed this one as innocent. She seemed more a wild creature than a troublesome relative with a bow or arrows. Visibly relaxing, the deity went as far as to smile as she welcomed the approach of the other. She was always pleased to make the acquaintance of some of the 'wilder' residents of the Isle, but for some reason, she seemed especially happy to meet this one. "Why, hello there, dear. Enjoying the festivities, I hope?" She wasn't sure why the thought pleased her so.

Zecora looked around for the familiar stripes and stand-out-from-the-crowd wings. She and Enki were supposed to meet here... and she was sort of looking forward to it. Zecora had moved out of the tree quite a while ago now, shortly after returning from the jungle. Due to a strange cat-like creature, bonding to her, Zecora decided the safest thing was to leave the tree. Since she wasn't living in the tree, she wasn't aware of any sort of banishment from attending. Attending the party didn't make her any more aware of it, there were faun and fauny everywhere, but no Enki.

It had only been a matter of time before it would have happened on its own anyways, her leaving the tree. Zecora had always been one to live more on the outskirts of town, closer to the wild jungles that had the things she needed. It only made sense to her.

Zecora left her thoughts to search for Enki, who she had grown closer with since returning from the jungle. It was odd to Zecora to have a friendship that made her feel the particular way that Enki did, it certainly was a new feeling. Going to this event together, was almost like going on a date, but Zecora and Enki had yet to really clarify that sort of thing.

Cherry Blossoms flitted into the scene, eager to see whatt eh fuss was all about. She had missed last years fiasco and - after hearing about all the silly and interesting things that happened then - wouldn't miss a chance to see it all for herself!

"Would you wook at this, Chehwy?! Isn't this amazing!?!" she asked herself, her lisp hindering the occasion consonant sound.

It wasn't long before something bumped up harshly against her wings, red quickly flushed over her features as she turned to face the individual responsible.

"What's the big idea! Would'ja watch where yeh goin'?!"

She crossed her arms over her chest, eying him up and down as she waited to hear his response.

As she moved close his hand slipped from hers up her arm then down her back to wrap around her waist, gently pulling her into an embrace. Yes, their age was showing. But that never crossed his mind as they swayed to the music. "Agreed." He breathed before softly kissing the top of her head. Chaos seemed to be milling about them, but in their little bubble time stood still. That was love. True love. And nothing on the entire island could possibly feel as good as it did to have her back in his arms. "It may be because I'm awful, but you seem to be dancing well." He murmured against her crimson locks.

As the minutes ticked by, he gradually started feeling sillier and sillier by simply standing like a buffoon. Embarrassed, the demonic slipped to a table to sit so he could watch further. Everything was chaotic yet everyone seemed to be having fun. What was the purpose of this festival? Why was everyone so...so happy? He absent-mindedly picked at the tablecloth as he pondered. There was a large table of presents. Was it some pae's birthday? Oh dear. Was he crashing a birthday party since he was without an invitation? Oh dear oh dear.
