alright first things first im going to start with speedy potato scones now keep in mind my recipes are altered due to my sons allergies ((corn soy and some dairy)) so cretin things can be fiddled with in a recipe for example the fallowing is a list of the ingredients listed in the books along with there substitution .. one thing i did find though when altering tease recipes is that by removing the corn dairy and soy also made even the sweet things tremendously healthy ..

((example .. one of the guys i feed no longer has dialectical problems and has lost almost 60 lbs back down to almost normal weight in about a year..i also found if you are already healthy it has no adverse affects on the body it just helps keep you in shape my personal belief is that corn is the devil lol))


list of substituted ingredients


baking powder ...... now i know before your like but that's in everything gonk i know but the main important thing about baking powder is corn starch biggrin that makes this substitution easy use potato starch ((i use it in every recipe that requires baking powder and there has never been a person i met that can tell the difference))

milk .... i use goats milk or one of the three variety's of almond milk ((this helps cus you have coco vanilla or regular unsweetened ... each one can be used in recipes and i also found that they can help enhance the flavors of certain foods i.e. chocolate cake the cocomilk really brings the coco taste out making it seem richer..))


butter.. this one i even still have a problem with i cant use margerin or any fiddled with butter it has to be straight butter or old fashioned lard

sour cream .... it isnt the best sub but i found condensed goats milk with a few drops of lemon help give the sour cream taste

speedy potato and ham scones

they love this for a snack or to dip in soup whee


heat oven to 425

butter dish/pan ((i use pyrex clear dishes this way i know when to take em out before the bottoms burn xd )). four dish, and tap out excess four exclaim

3/4 cup flour ((it really dosent matter what kinda ))
1 1/2 tsp. potato starch
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp sugar
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/8 tsp. black pepper

((mix all of the above in a bowl. make a well in the center set aside.))


1 cup mashed potatoes
1/4 cup of sour cream ((see previous post for substitution ))
1 large egg


((mix all of the above togather. pour all of potatoe mix all at ounce in the well of flour mix. toss with a fork till moist and soft (not sticky) dough forms. roll our on board cut into 8-12 pieces. place in pans bake for 18-25 min depending on your oven and how many you cut the fewer pieces the longer it takes. golden brown is the best indicator.))

ok so i like i finised thease like 5 minutes ago ... your lucky i even got a pic cus they are gone ... and i didnt even get a nibble crying


no burnt bottoms im good at not burning things as long as killafrog doesn't distract me stare

anyway the long awaited picture and ill edit later with recipe

preheat oven to 425, grease pan ((again i suggest using a clear pan so keep an eye on the bottoms))


2 cups flour
1/3 cup sugar
2 tsp. potato starch
1/4 tsp salt
5 tblsp chilled butter cut in small pieces

mix dry together in bowl, cut in butter with pastry blender until coarse crumbs form. Make a little well in the center and set aside

1 large egg beaten
1/2 cup milk
(i use vanilla almond milk it adds a delightful flavor)
1/4 tsp grated lemon orange or lime rind ((i use orange rind we dont use lemons or limes enough in meh house))
1 cup of chopped strawberrys

mix egg milk and grated citrus, Pour egg mix in well of flour mix, stir with fork till moist. scoop scones place 2 in apart on pan

1 tbls milk
2 tsp sugar
((yummy with brown palm or granulated sugar))

brush milk mix over scones and bake for 18-22 minutes

dust with sugar if you want after you remove..

thats not egg dippy thats sugar glaze ni have a super crappy camera ... the first one was egg the strawberry one is the way the sugar glaze hit the light ... bad lighting bad camera >.< and dead scanner crying

xp fixed it was supposed to be beaten not lightly beaten User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. i altered the recipe to the one above forgot take out the lightly part this was originally a blueberry scone recipe i altered it to work with what fruit i have

btw thanks for the feed back on the first scone recipe or i never would have thought to beat the eggs longer and you really would have seen egg xd
