It appeared that everything else had been momentarily forgotten when False's familiar held up his paw, waved, and... Greeted her?!
The feline's eyes practically sparkled. Sure, she should've known that somewhere, some reaper would have a cat familiar that could talk... But to actually see it was fantastic. That might've just made her whole day. "Hello." The ghoul greeted back and waved a clawed hand.
Moreover, the cat knew about summoning circles! "How fascinating." Hey, now Riyo was actually interested. If the cat had been the one instructing this reaper, than perhaps she should listen to the advice..
Reaching back down for the chalk, she made the bottom of the circle more full as per instructed, and glanced back up at the boil when she was through. It appeared this ghoul was a little... Biased. "So what's his name?" Shouldn't she be asking the name of the red-headed boil? Nope. Didn't care. Besides, Riyo had caught him telling it to Hel. Some F word. Ahah. F word.

Levi mouthed a thank you to the kindly retreating snake, taking note of whom she'd headed to. Certainly the ghoul wanted to know more about this critter. For now, it was all about the circles and summoning elements.
She decidedly checked up on her fellow monster; what had Bul done? Sure enough, he'd prodded her first. Wriggling a bit to peer over top of his desk, Levi tried to analyze what the half beast had done.
...
kekekeke~ aye- it DOES look like'a face! Bul what'cha summonin'? One a' yer kin? Her hillbilly cackle ended with a bit of hissing through her teeth, clearly humored by the dopey face looking back at her from the desk. As Bul looked at hers, she didn't hide her sense of pride; she was smart. Not that Bul wasn't of course, but maybe she was one of those knowledgeable ones the professor spoke of? The folks at home would sure be surprised to hear that. Levi was learning about magic so fast it was like harvesting time.
His revisions had her knotting with approval (because she thought she had that authority somehow). Boil, looks pretty good ta me- The tatzel's line of sight changed from the desktop to Bul's feet when she noticed his shift in focus. He was going to eat it in class? It wasn't the roach-eating aspect so much as her knowledge of what occurred in Cricket's class that made Levi want him to put the bug down.
Propping her chin in one hand and smirking, she watched Bul's owo face and tried not to break out into a laugh again. Think ya'll 'll end up glowin' pink this time?

Head tilted, Thackery just stared at the cat some more.
'No?" Why would his mother teach him to not chase cats? That would be ridiculous. They had far more important things to learn, like the proper way to defend kitsunes in battle. Or maybe he'd just misremembered another one of his lessons...
He just sat there, patting the kitty on the head; it didn't take long to bored of that, though, so he plucked the cat up and began to make it hop around on his desk. Somehow, he had missed the fact that it was dripping ink all over him, but the ink splotches it left all over the desk were hilarious.
The Cerberus was barely through a fit of laughter when the teacher spoke again, and he paused his fun, carefully holding the cat still. They needed to draw a circle? Oh, he loved drawing!
"Okay, kitty, listen. I need to do this, but we can play more afterward." His words could not have been more condescending if he'd tried.
Plucking up a piece of chalk, he set to work, dodging both the ink and the cat as best he could. He first made a large circle to go from, adding two smaller ones on each side. And that was about as far as he went with copying down what he'd seen on the board. Resting his chin in his hand, he put faces in the circles, and bodies on the faces...then tails on the bodies. The hearts were a fantastic finishing touch, he thought, giving it a properly complicated look.
He didn't even seem to notice that the cat was gone as he inspected his handiwork.

“Time’s up.”
Professor Proudfoot didn’t make an effort to check their work, seeming to think the conversation was diligent students getting a second opinion and not whatever it actually was. It was right back to boring lecture time, wasn’t it.
“Every element can be called by a combination of FEAR, willpower, and symbols, but mostly FEAR. It’s not an exact science, but it helps not to try and call a fire spirit with a glass of water. Unless it’s hot water, that could possibly work.” The professor was briefly lost in thought, then shook his head to clear it. “Er, anyway.”
The demon hauled a large box out from underneath the desk and placed it front and center, moving the four bottles aside with only a short scream from the air container to punctuate. There was no rhyme or reason to what was inside. Some things were completely mundane, some bizarre. But everything was ultimately worthless, for those who considered pocketing things. No wonder he was letting them take as much as they needed.
“Come up and take something from this box that you think will draw a particular elemental spirit to you, and place it in your summoning circle. You will then focus your FEAR on the circle and the element. With luck, you will summon an elemental.” The demon cleared his throat for a moment, looking a little awkward, and added: “Monsters are unlikely to produce any sort of results, but you are... welcome to try.”
“Remember, you are only trying to summon one elemental - pick fire, water, earth, or air, and choose your bait accordingly.”
“And for those of you who’ve mastered one of these elements...” He seemed to be giving Danny and False one of those ‘I’m watching you’ looks. “Consider picking a different one.”
((
OBJECTS IN THE BOX: Broken Golem Pieces Phoenix Feather Vial of Blood Charred Bone Clump of Dirt Pinch of Dried Spices Burning Incense Poison Spines Small Paper Fan Fish Scales Dry Sponge Broken Sea Fossil Black Sand Wood Pipes
When your student is ready to try summoning, roll a d10 Monsters and undead take a -3 to their roll. You can roll 3 times total! Each roll your student can use another object or stick to the same one, but must stick to the element they chose. Stop rolling once you get a success, or if you fail all 3.
Please note which element you are going to try to summon and what roll you are on at the top of your post. You have 24 hours!
ROLL 1
1-5 Nothing happens. At all. 6-10 Success! Something’s come sniffing around your bait - it catches fire, becomes drenched in water, petrifies, or starts swirling around. And it stays like that even after you stop summoning. Maybe you caught something!
ROLL 2
1-5 Nothing happens. At all. Again. Maybe you just need to concentrate more. 6-10 Success! Something’s come sniffing around your bait - it catches fire, becomes drenched in water, petrifies, or starts swirling around. And then the effect reverses. It’s a start!
ROLL 3
1-5 Nothing happens. At all. Today just isn't your day. 6-10 Success...? Something’s come sniffing around your bait - but maybe not what you were looking for. Whatever you put inside the circle suddenly crumbles to dust and vanishes. Uh oh... ))

Roll 1 - Wood Pipes - Air - Success
It was nice to see them getting students even after that Christmastival fiasco…
Hel nodded to the reaper, and then focused on the next part of the professor’s instructions. So…in addition to the summoning circle…they needed items now too? Hel was leaning forward in her desk once more, wide eyed and curious as the professor produced a box of items. She hopped out of her chair, and riffled through the box. Hmm…what would be good for air…
The ghoul was almost tempted to take the phoenix feather, but upon discovering some wooden pipes, eagerly claimed those instead. It required air to make music…and after her Christmastival present, she was already pretty fond of wooden instruments. Hel flopped back down in her chair, and placed the item in the middle of her circle. Her brows furrowed now as a serious expression crossed her two-toned face. Okay. Focus. What did she do when she wanted to channel her FEAR? She pointed and focused. Hel raised a dark pointer finger at the pipes, and it almost looked like she was accusing it of something as her eyes narrowed and she started to focus her FEAR on the item. It was like casting a spell on someone…right? Except it was an item…and she was trying to summon…
After a few moments, she was rewarded as the pipes seemed to levitate a few inches off of the desk, and then proceeded to start swirling around as if it was caught in a breeze. The ghoul was grinning was ear to ear now as she watched the pipes spin with pure delight. She did it! Her summoning circle worked! Hel was just uber proud of herself.

Sharpie of course only accepted attention all the more from Riyo. After all he had happily put up with Thackery making him dance across his desk. Once the ghoul waved back he couldn't help but sit on his hind legs and wave with both paws now.
"Yeah, the cat's ahh not exactly a normal cat by any means..." He paused blinking, "He goes by Sharpie." He did notice that while she was ignoring him, she at least sealed her circle more firmly, which would be a relief for some of them possibly. When the teacher spoke he simply nodded to both Ghouls (Hel and Riyo) before moving to collect some of the black sand.
Sharpie was already waiting on the corner of the desk now when False returned. "So what are you aiming for this time?" he chirped while pawing at the vile of sand placed beside him.
"Air I think... it works with Fire after all, fanning the flames and what not." Popping the vile he dumped the sand into the middle of his circle before placing his hands on either side of it. "C'mon cat, you know I hate doing this alone."
Chuckling Sharpie obliged this request by hopping onto False's shoulder, at once his forepaws started to ignite into tiny flames as his ink was used to fuel it, "Ready when you are sir."
"Invoco elemento aeris!"
Even as he spoke the fire on Sharpie's paws flared up as the FEAR was drawn out, the circle flashing orange and catching fire for a short flicker as the combined fears of reaper and Familiar dumped into it. Just as quickly as it started it stopped; the only difference was a small spinning cloud of black sand floating around inside of it.
"Old Latin? Really? I thought I got to pick the language this time."
"Shut up cat, we just summoned something of air and didn't get blown ten yards by a gust of pissed off wind..." With out pausing he pulled a small journal from inside his black jacket along with a quill. Poking the end on sharpies tail for ink he started to copy the summoning circle for later use.

((Attempt 1 - Wind - Paper Fan - Sucess!))
"Genevieve. Feel free to call me Gene, though." The doppelganger ghoul took his hand and shook, smiling politely. "And thanks! I have to admit, though, it was greugled." She gave a small, shamed giggled before sitting back down, due to their professor beginning another lecture. So, she needed some kind of bait, then?
Well, first off she needed to choose an element. They all seemed nice, but she found herself identifying with Air the most. Her justification? She floated, duh. That, and random pieces of her would randomly dissipate into the air. Like what her left hand was doing at the moment. Ugh. Hastily, she picked up a paper fan, scurried back to her desk, and placed it in the middle of her circle.
Gene was certainly no master of focusing her Fear into objects, but really didn't feel like using Gruegle again. Instead, she took a cue from the Frost Demon. She placed her hand on the circle, and began to concentrate her Fear down her arm and into her right hand, into the circle. She could feel a pulsing sensation, but nothing was happening. Was she failing?
Just as the ghoul was about to give up and fetch more bait, the fan suddenly fluttered, and was picked up by a wind that wasn't there, going around in small circles. She did it! Yaaay!
"Not too bad for a first timer?" She asked her new Reaper acquaintance, blatantly seeking approval, smiling all the way.

Roll 1 - wood pipes - success!
Roch stared at the stuff for a long moment before getting to his feet and heading to pick one. For a moment his hand hovered over the phoenix feather, because, well, it was bright. Then he grabbed a set of wood pipes, because it was clearly the right thing for a guitar wielding reaper.
Then he summoned his guitar, since he couldn't do jack without his weapon. One hand on the neck of the guitar he reached out, touching the edge of the circle with a finger. Hopefully this would work? Honestly, he'd never learned much about magic at all--just music and fighting.
He blinked as a tiny little tornado picked up the pipes in the middle of the circle, twisting and dancing in a way that made him grin like an idiot. Hesitantly he stopped feeding his FEAR into it, but the little tornado kept twisting.
"Hey," he said to it, grinning. "Nice t'meetcha." Yes, the big bad punk had just greeted an element like it was a pet. So tough.
