I LOVE cooking, but since I live alone there is no reason for me to cook grand meals. So my meals are vary simple.

About one a week I make my favorite meal.
Grilled onions, cooked celery and place that on a tortilla wrap with Hummus.

So good! I love Humus~ . Since I don't eat much meat its a way to help get some extra protein out side my nut munchies.



I've tried to grow tomatoes with the Upsy Downsy 5 dollar gimmick planter. ... it did not work.

i've seen the adverts for that s**t.
I didn't think it would work. If you have a nice sunny door step where you are, you can always stick it outside in a pot with a stake in it and it will grow fine.
But don't let smokers smoke around it >.>
It will give th plant a disease

I was so hoping it was going to work, but I think it was just to hot this summer. Over 100 degree weather for many days. Still I'm not gonna try that again!

I'm planing on getting some fresh herbs and place them by my window to grow...since now its cold. Hopefully they will last.

IF not well the place I shop has great produce. Its a whole foods market, very veterinarian and they just have good veggies being sold. Just would have been nice to save me some money.

Can't wait to move into a house one day with a real yard. Would love to grow some onions, tomato and radishes since I eat tons of those~.

yeah growing your own saves money for sure. I find it really much more filling too.
We do everything free range (not cheap but mum pays a lot of it) and I find I only need a quarter of the food I did before to feel full.
It's whack.

I use our own matos to make tomato sauce biggrin
So yum.

I tried growing carrots but they didn't like the tubs they were in ;.;

Under The Darkness

I used to grow strawberries in my back garden. Much cheaper than going out and buying them at a supermarket. And tasted better as well.
But now the plants are dead and they aren't coming back. So no more delicious strawberries for me. emotion_8c

I do cook, sometimes. Mostly pastries and deserts since its what I'm best at. I suck at presentation, but I've been told that the taste makes up for it.

I'm a chocolate snob, to be honest. While I'm usually not fussy with food, I'm dead fussy with chocolate. There is a total of three brands of chocolate I actually like. Which is funny because when people find out I hate Cadbury chocolate they will literally scream at me. rofl

I love strawbrries.. but they are like $6-9 a punnet in the stores this time of year.

I find cadbury chocolate makes me cough ;.;

Ahhhh. Just got home and had some pierogi with onions, cheese, and sour cream.

Now to vacuum the house and maybe finish the container of ice cream I have hidden? (Would much rather eat ice pops or sherbert)

I'm going to a Christmas party on Sunday and going to bring a whole bunch there. I'm also going to give some to my cats vets. The sanctuary I volunteer with does an annual bake sale at the state capital, which will give me another excuse to bake.

I wiiiiiiish I had my own place so I could have a little garden. Can't grow much in a studio apartment. xd


Also - I'm on a fairly vegetarian sort of diet these days. Don't eat meat more than once or twice a week, and mostly unprocessed food.

Though holy ******** now I want some pierogi. ;.;
