"Ooh, you poor baby..." she mocked. "Did I strike a nerve? What, do you LOVE her?" She laughed bitterly. By now, Sparkle and the other boy had walked off, and they were completely alone.

Masumi held his head high "yes I do, and there's nothing you can do to change that!" and with that he turned and walked away.
Cain stood up again "I'm hungry now, haha"

"Come on, let's go downstairs." Quinn held her arm out in Cain's general direction.
"Fine, prove it. I'm going to walk next to you until you prove it."

masumi growled with irritation, he didn't know what to do, find quinn?
Cain took Quinn's hand "let's go" she limped owards the stairs

Marianne linked arms with Masumi and plastered a smile unto her face. They began to walk down the hall, and almost immediately ran into Cain and Quinn.

Masumi tugged his arm awa from marrianne and shot her a fierce look "hi Quinn" he said "who's this?"
Cain looked at the boy in front of her "I'm Cain, nice to meet you"

"Ohmigawd, HAI!" Marianne flounced over to Cain. She thought, imperio, as she looked into the girl's eyes. Forget about Quinn, be my best friend. Forget about Quinn, be my best friend. "I'm SOOOO sorry for what my friend said to you earlier. She was just upset because her boyfriend recently died. Her boyfriend was my brother." She thought the curse harder and harder so there could be no way she could resist.

Cain jumped back in alarm as the girl flounced towards her, making her all sore again, she clutched the recently re-stitched wound on her shoulder and tried to slow her breathing "it's okay, she isn't the first to ask about it, and she probably won't be the last" the girl's gaze suddenly seemed hypnotic, she quited liked this girl, for some reason, despite what quinn had told her wait, What am I doing here? she asked herself, she suddenly wasn't sure who was standing beside her, shee closed her eyes, what a headache.
Masumi watched Cain closely, she suddenly seemed, distracted. Masumi looked at Marianne, she was staring intently at Cain, he narrowed his eyes "what ever your doing to Cain, stop it now" he siad

"I'm not doing anything." By now, the girl was completely under her control to do what she wanted.
Quinn was still blushing with shock and excitement, her pale blue eyes wide with astonishment.

Masumi snorted "don't LIE to ME! My mother is an auror and she tells me many things about what she does at work, like how to spot curses in action and I can plainly see you are doing something to Cain, so stop!" he raised his wand and pointed it at her "stop before I do something I'll regret" he snapped, keeping half an eye on quinn, he wanted to protect her if Marianne tried something.
Cain felt like she was a cloud, light and soft, without a care
"Forget about Quinn, be my best friend."
she heard a very persuasive voice, it was impossible not to listen to, she was only dimly aware of the boy shouting.
Masumi racked his brains for a solution before Marianne made Cain do something bad, he thought of the imperius curse, he could cast it on Cain and help her fight back, but it was a stupid idea, he needed to think of something that would stop marianne and not hurt Cain in the process, two imperius curses at the same time no doubt would do more harm than good, he had to some how distract Marianne, the only thing he could think of was to jinx her, he yelled out the first jink he thought of "Melofors!"
