"What for?" Utsuki asked suspiciously. "And why do I have a feeling that this is your way of finding my dad's stash?" There was something strange in the criminal's grin, which almost made Utsuki wish he could go back to the attic where he felt safe. The criminal might still barge in anyway, since there was no reason for him to stay outside.

Kenichi shrugged, still grinning. "Probably because it is my way of finding your father's stash. As for what for? I'm bored and currently trapped inside the police chief's house. Now, what do you say? Do we have a game or not?"

Utsuki was now rather distressed. He didn't want to say 'no' to the criminal, but if he agreed to play the game his dad would kill him. It wasn't likely that Dad would find anything missing, since he hardly checks his stash of stuff, but that didn't mean he couldn't find out. He always liked to make sure everything was in the same place. Utsuki never really knew why, since he didn't really talk to his dad.
"Can't we do something other than a scavenger hunt?" Utsuki asked, slightly dizzy from conflicting thoughts. "If going to the park is the only way, then I'll go. Just suggest something that my dad would be unwittingly okay with."

Kenichi laughed. "The park sounds like a wonderful idea. Let's go right now. And, kid, I don't think there's much you could tell your father that he would be okay with. "Hey, dad. I'm going to go the park with a wanted criminal. Is that okay with you? Really? Great. Bye!" Yeah. I don't think that would go over so well with the police chief, but you can try."

"I'm not saying I'm going to tell him what's going on," Utsuki said, once again getting annoyed. "I'm just saying I'd rather do something that ensures that my dad won't see any change in the house. Besides, I said 'unwittingly,' which means he wouldn't know." Trying to talk to a stalker really was exasperating. There was absolutely no way he can talk normally to the criminal.

Kenichi was enjoying this way too much. "I know what unwittingly means, Utsuki. I'm a criminal, not a delinquent. You figure out what to tell your father. I'm going to head on to the park. I can't stand being inside even for this long." He hoisted himself up and started clack, clacking his way outside.

Utsuki just sighed in annoyance. How in the world was he going to say anything to his dad? It wasn't like he was going to listen to anything, so why not just leave the house for a few hours and return later? It was simple and not nearly as troublesome as trying to ask for permission to leave the house.

Kenichi could not be having feelings for a kid like Utsuki, for another male like Utsuki. His father would quite literally kill him if he found out, and the head of the family would find out. He found out everything, especially where it concerned sixteen-year-old Kenichi. He shook his head and turned back to look at Utsuki.
"Are you coming or are you going to just stand there staring like a lost little kid? Come on. It's not going to kill you to get out of the house and actually have some fun for once," he growled, the confusion of his thoughts coming out as anger in his voice.

Utsuki flinched at the obviously annoyed voice. Normally, any annoyed voice would send him running for the attic, but he knew that place wasn't safe now. The only reason why is because the person speaking was a criminal who didn't have any connections with the attic. He hurriedly walked out the door, closing it and locking it with a key he usually kept in his pocket.
It wouldn't hurt to go outside for once. As long as he came back before Dad came home, everything would be okay. But wouldn't the criminal's appearance draw the attention of suspicious passersby? Utsuki knew he couldn't ask, but he couldn't help wondering about it.

Kenichi led the way to the park and plopped on a bench. Even here, he was bored. He couldn't do anything with a cast on his leg! "Go on," he growled to Utsuki. "Go... play or something."
He sat lost in his frustration for a while before his thoughts drifted back to Utsuki once again. He had to admit that the kid was kind of cute. Maybe he'd try being a little nicer to him.

"But only kids play, right?" Utsuki asked, noticing most people just sat around. "The park is just a place to relax, or so it seems." The openness of the park made him feel small, or at least much smaller than he felt when he was still in the house.
When Utsuki closely examined his surroundings, he wished he had a camera. The place was perfect for photography work! Why hadn't he visited the park years ago? Being here was definitely much better than staying at the house.

"Clearly not," Kenichi said coldly, gesturing to a group of kids around their own ages playing on the swings and laughing. "Why don't you go see if they want to play?" He sighed. So much for being nicer to the kid.

Utsuki wasn't sure if he really wanted to talk to anyone in the park. The only person he knew at the moment was the criminal, but he wasn't a friend or anything. Therefore, it was safe to say that he didn't like talking to strangers. It was childish, but what else can he say to explain why he didn't want to talk?

Kenichi sighed again and called out to the kids, "Hey, you guys need someone else to hang out with? The kid here needs something to do." He jerked his head towards Utsuki.

Utsuki wanted to say something, perhaps ask the criminal what the heck he was doing, but he could say nothing. He could only glare at the criminal, but then again it wasn't completely his fault. It wasn't like the guy could read Utsuki's mind.
