As one of the Shadow Corp guards was finished up his rounds on the edge of the compound, he saw someone actually climb out of the sewer. "What the hell..." He groaned, looking at the readout from his helmet. "Wish I'd never left Zenta..." He groaned, flicking his rifle to stun and walking towards the new figure. "Halt! You're on restricted grou... Delia?" The guard stopped, tilting his head to the side? "You're name is Delia right?"

Delia grinned at the man as she dusted herself off.

"Yeah, I'm Delia. I'm supposed to be getting a ride to the Excalibur." She bent down to push the manhole cover back over the sewer. She looked back up at the man holding the gun towards her. "You know, I'm not here to infiltrate your base, I'd feel a lot more comfortable if you stopped ppointing that thing at me."

"Uhh..." The guard looked at his rifle. "Oh. it's got the safety catch on, don't worry... Follow me, I'm supposed to take you to the shuttle if you show up." He started walking, pulling off his helmet. "Well, welcome to the Shadow Corp base on Draconias." He turned to Delia, revealing pointy ears of all things. "I'm a Asanti, as you can see." He smiled. "You fit right in here. We've got people from all over the Union."
As he led her into the hanger, one of the pilots jumped up. "Oh, is this her?"
"Aye." The guard nodded.
"Alright then, if you would follow me Ma'am..." The pilot turned away, walking towards one of the ships.

((Do I get to hurt people soon? biggrin ))

Delia followed the pilot onto one of the ships. She was glad that at least this part of the test was easy, being escorted through the base. When she sat down the day finally caught up with her, exhaustion seeped through her very bones. From stealing that ship back on Earth, to running from the Draconian Police, her day had been busy indeed.

"I only hope that I'll have at least a little while to rest." She murmured to herself. She didn't dare close her eyes, but just being off of her feet was a welcome respite.

(( Maaaaaaaaaaybe )

The pilot chuckled, shutting the door, then moved up past Delia into the cockpit. He sat down, flicking a few buttons, starting the engines up. With that, he slowly eased out of the hanger, before shooting skywards. "ETA to Shadow Corp Capital ship.... one minute."
The pilot continued to tap buttons, before he started to talk. "Hanger command, this is dropship 113, requesting docking permission."
"Dropship 113, you are cleared for hanger 5, welcome aboard."

At that point in time, out of one of the windows, a ship could be seen, a capital ship. On the side, there were the words 'SC EXCALIBUR'.

And it was moving away.

((good...))

Delia looked out the window of the dropship, at a cursory glance she saw the Excalibur, the ship she was supposed to be boarding. At once a red flag went off in her mind, it was moving away. She jumped onto her feet and moved up to the cockpit, there was going to be no time to rest after all.

"Where are we going? This isn't the Excalibur."

The pilot smiled. "So, the boss didn't tell you..." He pointed ahead.

Infront of them, there was another capital ship. It was... long. Really REALLY long. About 2 and half times the length of the Excalibur. You couldn't make out many details, as it was sitting in front of the sun, but you could tell straight away, it would do some damage in a fight.

The engines on the ship fired up, as the small dropship got evercloser. And then, the name was visable. It said everything that needed to be said.

SC BLACK DAWN

"Tell me what? That now I'm going to have to get to the Excalibur on my own, most likely under impossible circumstances, even after I've just broken out of jail and escaped the Dragon police? He's not that bad, I'll never trust Louise again."

Delia stared at the behemoth of a ship, the Black Dawn. Already plans were running through her head, she coul wait until they had boarded and go from there, or she could take care of the pilot here and make her own way to the Excalibur. Delia pushed her hair away from her face and closed her eyes for a moment. Reaper wouldn't have brought her to this ship if there wasn't a reason, and she didn't think that hurting his crew would go down all that well. To the Black Dawn, then.

The pilot started to laugh. "Yeah, he said you'd be wanting to go the Excalibur, but I was told to take you to the Black Dawn, so that's what I'm doing." He tapped a few buttons, turning the ship towards the hanger, while lowering the landing gear.

It was a little bumpy as they passed through the shield, then the pilot swung the ship around, landed and opened the rear hatch.

"Hey Delia. Welcome aboard the Black Dawn." Longshot waved at her, a smile on his face. "Sooo... I guess you passed.

Delia stepped off of the ship, heartened by the sight of Longshot. So she wasn't completely on her own, though, she did wonder what she would have to do with the man.

"Yeah, I passed, though not without seeing what other people have passed..." She grimaced slightly and adjusted her footing, making her wet boots squelch. "So, what is it now? Just please tell me there's nothing like sewers on here."

Longshot started to laugh. "No no, don't worry... look, we got a room and some clothes fresh out for ya... I'll explain everything on the way as well." He grinned, and turned around, signalling for Delia to follow. "You've only got one more test to do, then you're probably in. But, if the test is what I think it is.... you'll get in if you finish it, no questions asked." He coughed, holding his hand up to his mouth. "Sorry, just getting over a cold. Right, what was I saying....? Oh yeah! You won't be doing the mission on your own, depending on what it is, you'll have a high ranked officer with you. Probably an Alpha Squad veteran. Which means Reaper, Toku, Angel or myself."
PostPosted: Sun Apr 26, 2009 7:39 am
Delia started to follow Longshot, listening to what he was saying about the next test. If she finished it, she would get in. She had to swallow the lump that wanted to come up her throat and choke her. That was an ominous message if she ever heard one.

"What kind of mission is it, that I won't be doing it on my own? I really can't imagine cooperating with someone like Reaper." Delia mumbled that last part, but it was true nonetheless. She dragged her feet as she followed Longshot, glad that she would indeed have a few moments to herself.

Longshot stopped. "If you were to go with Reaper, you'd have a 100% chance of coming back alive. He may not seem like it, but he puts everything he has on the line, to protect those around him." His face was blank. "EVERYONE here, owes him more than we can repay. Ever." He sighed, looking at Delia. "Doesn't matter what mission, even a suicide run. Reaper would get you back safely."

He started walking again, but his shoulder were sagging slightly, his mind clouded by memories best left forgotten. Of things he's not proud of, of actions no man should do. "I owe... more than most to Jack... I owe him everything. And, he the same for me. Jack has said, on many an occasion, that's it because of me Louise is still alive today."

PostPosted: Sun Apr 26, 2009 8:05 am
She looked down at her feet, regretting her words immediately. "I'm sorry, it's just that, well, I haven't really been able to cooperate with anyone since this," she waved her hand at the right side of her face, "happened."

She thought more about his words, he meant that she might not come back alive if she were to go with anyone but Reaper. It had been in the back of her mind since she left Earth, actually, it had been at the forefront of her thoughts when she had stolen that ship.

"I'm sorry, sir. I just hope you can understand that this hasn't exactly been the most normal day for me."

Longshot sighed. "Yeah... yeah, I know... Anyway, we're here. Inside, there's a bed, a toilet with shower, a desk, a holo-computer, a mirror, along with a safe to keep your stuff in. On the bed you'll find a Shadow Corp trainee outfit. Female one consists of black top, black trousers or skirt, depending on what you want, or what you'll be doing on the ship. You shouldn't need to wear the trousers unless you go training. Also, you need to either get your hair cut to here." He held a hand up to just under his shoulder. "Or tie it back. There's stuff to tie it back with in the room, and the ship barber opens at 12:00 Union Standard time. There's a map as well, and..." He held up his left arm, tapping his forearm. "An ACU. Armour Control Unit. It's a personal computer, has a direct link to SAIC, the Support Artificial Intelligence Core. She can tell you everything you need to know. It also contains a basic armour crystal, along with two blank crystals or storing weapons and items."
