GameGuard Troubleshooting

We have noticed that users are still having trouble with the GameGuard update.

If you have auto-patched the client and still can't access the game, please try the following.



1. Download the latest GameGuard update through

http://update.nprotect.net/gameguard/install/MapleStoryUS_GameGuard.exe



2. Download the latest version of a spyware detection program and virus detection program and check your system for any spyware programs/viruses that might be hindering the update



3. In the MapleStory folder, there is a folder with the name GameGuard. Please send the *.erl file in the GameGuard folder to game@inca.co.kr



4. Re-download the full version of the client



We are trying to fix the GameGuard related log-in problems ASAP. We sincerely apologize fo the inconvenience.

Trading Cash Items

It is a direct violation of the Terms of Use to trade cash items with meso or other items.



Please alert these cases as advertising abuse when you encounter someone who asks others to trade for cash items. They will be banned permanetly.

NXgames Passport ID

This is an explanation of the concept of NXgames Passport ID and some common misconceptions.



All accounts that access MapleStory are NXgames Passport ID.



If you already had an ID for MapleStory, it has already been converted to an NXgames Passport ID. Please keep in mind that you do not need to create a new account if you already had one.



Creating a new NXgames Passport ID is the same thing as creating a new account.



There can not be any transfers of game related characters, items, or NX Cash between Passport IDs.

About Pop-Ups

If you have disabled Pop-Ups on your internet browser and wish to access the cash shop, you might encounter some problems.



When you choose PayPal Express Checkout to make a purchase, the transaction is carried out on a PayPal pop-up. If you are not seeing a pop-up, please check the message that shows up on the top part of the webpage and allow pop-ups for mapleglobal.com.



Users must enable pop-ups for MapleGlobal.com in order to charge NX Cash.

(6:00 am ~ 11:00 am GMT)





Both the game and the website will not be available during the server check.

Those accounts, after the full verification process, have full access to our website. They do NOT, however, have access to the game at this point.

Attention Hotmail Users
It has come to our attention that Hotmail users are not getting emails sent from mapleglobal.com. Due to this problem, users who registered using hotmail email addresses can not verify their accounts at this moment.



We are trying to fix this problem ASAP, but can not be sure when it will be rectified as we have to contact and sort the problem out with Hotmail.



Our users can help by contacting Hotmail and informing them that mapleglobal.com emails are not SPAM.

Web Server Check
There will be a web server check today (Oct. 24th, Monday) to fix minor bugs on the mapleglobal website. It will start at 2:00 AM EDT and last for approximately 30 minutes. During this time, users will not be able to use the functions on the website including charging accounts or making gift purchases. However, the game will not be affected during the web check.
