[Shuro2009]

"Given time, I think so. yes."  

[sassiechicka]

Emily smiled, "Well let's take the time and get to know one another."  

[Shuro2009]

"I'd like that." He said with a smile.  

[sassiechicka]

Emily smiled back at him, "Now we just have to convince the prince to stay longer."  

[Shuro2009]

"I think your princess has already done a good job of that."  

[sassiechicka]

"My princess is a gentle lady. She has many of suitors, but your prince is her most promising marriage. I think that they will be married within a month. Your prince has had my princess's heart for awhile now. Well from the first introduction made at the ball."  

[Shuro2009]

"when was the ball?" He asked trying to remember if it was during his time of service to the prince.  

[sassiechicka]

"A couple of months ago. I saw you there, but I didn't dare approach you. The princess had told me that you were new to the whole servant thing, so she advised me not to approach you."  

[Shuro2009]

"Most people stayed away, especially other servants, though I got plenty of looks. It's difficult being new in a royal family." He replied remembering.  

[sassiechicka]

"I wanted to go to you. Show you around. I was given the night off that night. We could've danced if your prince would've let you. I got to dance that night with many of my princess's suitors, but your prince was the one that I only had one dance with. I got offered marriage proposals that night, but I didn't want to marry a prince. I wanted to marry for love not for status."  

[Shuro2009]

"I'm surprised. You don't hear that very often. i respect you for that."  

[sassiechicka]

"The Queen severely had me beaten for resisting a marriage proposal. The princess on the other had rubbed salves and stuff into my back. I still have scars from her having me beaten." Emily looked away as she didn't want Kyo to see the tears in her eyes. That was the only time Emily had ever been beaten and Emily swore that it would be the last.

Without thinking, he reached out and pulled her into his arms.
"It's alright. You can cry if you want to. i'll hold you while you do. It's okay to cry."  

[sassiechicka]

" I don't think crying over this is going to help. I have cried numerous of times in the lap of the princess. That is why she told her mother that I was to marry whomever I wanted and if she had me beaten again that we'd both run off. After that, the queen pretty much ignores me. She doesn't acknowledge my existence, but that's ok. I serve the princess not the queen. The prince of the country offered to marry me to spite his mother, but I refused his proposal. I'm going to marry for love. I stand by that promise to myself. My mother married a prince when she was working in the gardens and made the princess swear that I could marry whomever I wanted as long as I loved them. The princess agreed."

"you're very fortunate." He muttered, not letting go.
