i think that the emo culture is more open to the idea that it is ok to not be 100% gay or st8, i am Bi but i am mostly interested in guys. if your ok with your emotions your more likely to be ok with a fluid sexuallity, in my opinion

Proof?

How many old people do you or have heard of that are bisexual?
The odds of someone being Bisexual is so low, so small, that I really can't believe anyone in this guild is.

Considering that it was a requirement for a Spartan to have a homosexual relationship in his life so long as he eventually procreated, and a couple of other ancient-world bisexual behaviors (Twospirit was of some popularity amongst the indigenous peoples of North America, pederasty was a big thing with the Greeks, and Shudo was similar to pederasty but for the Japanese of the Bushido lifestyle), I'd figure it's been quite rampant in human society.

The term "bisexual" was not used until the 1800s, and it wasn't used to identify the sexual orientation until 1914 (before then it was used to describe hermaphrodites). Freud theorized that bisexuality was a very easy possibility for any human being who would let him or herself practice it, and Kinsey's scale of sexual orientation has a very large middle section--do you wonder what it is called when someone is between heterosexual and homosexual?

Using a senior demographic to assess the prevalence of a sexual orientation in the modern age is ineffectual--all the information you could hope to gather by looking to the sexual preferences of the aged would include the climate of their time, or the societal attitudes toward various sexualities in these people's younger years.

Forced into being Bisexual doesn't make you Bisexual, so you could have just not posted that Spartan thing and the same goes for the other being that they were not born that way, it way required for a better after life, like Christians fake being not gay to go to heaven.

There are a lot of terms that didn't come into play for sometime. Once more, you are born with your orientation, should Freud so lay of the drugs.
What do I call those people in between, I call them unsure.

It really doesn't feel like you answered my question, just kind tossed useless history at me in a way to sound smart or right.

You fail to understand that that IS what bisexuality is. No matter how you came to be that way, if you possess interest in either sex simultaneously, that's bisexuality.

The specifics are to be debated; however, that is bisexuality.

I used "useless history" because you seemed to think that looking to old people for their orientation demographic is a useful argument.

To kill that tower.

I know it's a stage, but to me that's not orientation. I believe you are born with one or the other.
In time you find out, some people take longer, but I feel that at some point someone finds out what sex they like.

So I'll be a little more clear, I think that no one is Bisexual for life, but to me orientation counts for your whole life or at lest after that teenage early 20's time were you find out which one is the one for you. That is if that stage even happens.

I used older people for the fact that they are past that stage where they are unsure.

Qualifiers: "But to me", "I believe", "but I feel", "I think"

The common fallacy that age=experience is present. Is anyone ever truly sure? If someone is born with a certain orientation, then would it be proper to assume that this desire is hard-wired into the subconscious and not the conscious?

Who, after all, is sure of their subconscious activity?

I'm bi and also Christian. I happen to like guys alittle bit more than girls. I've only had six girlfriends and now I'm dating my first boyfriend ever. I can care less about what others think and being gay,bi, or lis isn't really cool around my school. Anyway, I've known that I was bi since 6th and been that way for 4 years now. I came out three months ago though, just because I was tired of hiding the fact that I like both sexs. My friends and family supports me. Well, only the ones that knows I'm bi. My boyfriend was happy to hear that I'm that way because he had a crush on me since my freshmen year (I'm a sophmore and he is a junior. We're the same age though). I think my boyfriend would perfer that I was gay because he thinks that I might fall in love with a girl instead of being with him. I think it's sad really that he thinks that.
