Iago looked over and smiled. He cleared his throat a little, then began to speak in a Scottish sounding accent. "Not much, what's new with you?" he asked, grinning at her.

εviε Evie stopped walking and stared at Iago with an open mouth. He had already changed his accent? Her eyes narrowed and her hand slipped out of Iago's grasp, setting themselves onto her hips. Her foot tapped in response to him and she brushed passed Iago, her nose to the air as she walked by.
"How mean of you." Evie commented as she walked away. It was almost painful to keep herself from laughing at her own expression.

"I was just teasing you, Evie." Iago said, back to his normal voice. He smiled, knowing she was just teasing him as well. He walked up behind her and wrapped his arms around her in a tight hug, stopping so he could lift her off her feet and spin her around a little, smiling the whole time. When he put her back down, he gave her a tender kiss on the cheek.

εviε Evie laughed aloud when Iago lifted her off of her feet and swung her around in a little circle. She wriggled out of his arms and turned so that she could wrap her own arms around his neck and hug him tightly in return. Evie returned Iago's kiss and smiled brightly at him, glad that it was a beautiful and sunny day for their little trip.
"Of course you were my love." Evie winked at him and took his hand again in hers.

Iago smiled at her when she took his hand, and he gave her another kiss on the lips, tender and loving.
"You're the greatest, Evie." he said with a bright smile. She truly was.

εviε "Oh I know." Evie replied in a snobby tone of voice and then stopped talking altogether. Even though she was only teasing, she felt like it sounded a lot like something Jocelyn would say. Evie blushed and looked back at Iago and blushed even brighter.
"I-I didn't mean that!" Evie replied quickly, biting her lower lip in reaction to herself.

Iago smiled, understanding why she was embarrassed. He put his arms around her and held her close.
"Yes you do...but not in the way Jocelyn would. See...you truly are the greatest." he said softly, looking into her eyes with a smile. "She simply believes she is. You are simply restating the truth." he assured her. He truly believed she was the greatest...everything about her was perfect, from her laugh to her smile...even the way she looked at him.

εviε Evie smiled when Iago wrapped her up into his arms and held her closely to his body. He was so warm and with the added sunshine...well, Evie wished she could take their image together as they were and keep it in her mind forever in the pristine condition it was in right then and there. Evie could feel her blush flaring up again but for a different reason...it was the way Iago looked at her with such love and caring in his eyes. It was something she was steadily getting used to seeing but never used to receiving.
"I do not deserve you." Evie said with a smile and a quick kiss on his cheek. They had to keep moving if they wanted to make it so Evie took Iago's hand and started walking again.

"Yes you do." Iago said softly, letting her take his hand and walking alongside her. He knew it was pointless to argue, but he always thought that she did deserve him...and more.
After a few minutes of walking, they arrived at the village. He looked over and sighed, giving her a small, sad smile. "Looks like it's time for me to put on my disguise." he said, giving her a soft kiss on the cheek. Then he took the piece of cloth out of his pocket and tied it around his eyes. He could see a little through it, just basic outlines, but he'd need Evie to guide him. "Let's go." he said in his normal voice. He'd only use his fake accent when he needed to, not when they were alone.

εviε Evie shook her head with a smile and walked on with her lover beside her.
When she could see the village, she stopped when Iago had. The smile he wore wasn't the smiles she had seen from him before and she felt a little saddened by it. Now he would have to disguise himself so that they could be safe...though she'd miss seeing him in his original finery as well as his eyes. Oh she'd miss his eyes the most. Evie watched him tie the piece of cloth over his eyes and she stepped forward, her hands on his chest.
"One second..." Evie whispered and reached up to lift the cloth off of his eyes so that she could see the beautiful violet color beneath. Evie smiled and kissed Iago on the lips for a good minute before breaking apart.
"Okay...let's go." Evie took Iago's hand and readjusted the cloth back over his eyes.

Iago wanted to close his eyes and savour the kiss, but he kept them open, knowing why she had taken the cloth away from his eyes. After the kiss, he smiled softly at her when she readjusted the cloth, and they continued into town.
"Even though I won't be myself...I'm excited to meet your parents." he said casually, in his own voice.

εviε Evie smiled as the pair walked together down the hill towards the village. It was rather quiet there, she hadn't a clue as to why but that thought was the least of her worries. She wondered how her parents would take to meeting Iago...especially since it really wouldn't be him and all. Evie looked down at her feet and smiled, they were close now...close to her house.
"I'm excited for you to meet them as well...this should be quite interesting." Evie smiled brightly, turning to look at Iago....then frowned, remembering that he had on the blinding cloth that kept his eyes from her. He probably couldn't see her smile anyway so she stopped.
"Almost there now."
.: Lol that's okay =^_^= that was a rather quick dinner. And pretty good biggrin On spring break currently and I couldn't have asked for it sooner @_@ I definitely needed a little break. You? :.

[Chilling. Needed a new computer cos mine fried...and now I have an internet block that works only on weekdays, killing my internet at 11:30.]

Iago could tell she was smiling...he couldn't see it, but in some strange way, he could tell she was. Maybe because of how perfect she was, how she was almost like his other half, he knew when she was feeling happy or sad.

εviε Evie rounded a bend and found that her house was still intact....for some reason she thought it would have been demolished or burnt down by now. To her, it felt as if they had been gone for ages...but in reality it was only a couple of days. Evie beamed, recognizing everything familiar and started to walk faster. Soon, they were at her doorstep and she felt nervous, her heart was beating quickly and her breath felt shallow and forced. With a steadying breath, Evie knocked on the door and waited for an answer.
"I...can't believe we're doing this." Evie groaned and straightened quickly when the door opened and her mother stood there.
Her mother stared at her daughter with wide, disbelieving eyes. Evie smiled sheepishly and laughed nervously.
"Mother..." Evie whispered quietly as if to break her mother out of her trance. It seemed to work because her mother lashed out at Evie and slapped her audibly across the cheek. Evie's head snapped to the side and she lifted a hand to her now warm, reddened cheek.
"I deserved that...." Evie muttered miserably.

"Oi!" Iago said, jumping at the bit. His voice had the fake accent. "Lay off!" he added. "She's had a rough time already, what with the prison sentence an' all, and her back's jus' gettin' around to healin'!" he said. It sounded convincing...if they didn't know he was acting, someone would think he was a whole different person.
