"Hey, hey! Teasing him gave him this cute position with Danny!" Ducan gestured at the couple with their heads on top of each other. "Besides, Kevin has no dirt on me. I was the perfect brother. Always am."
Kevin lifted his head off of Danny's and raised an eyebrow at his brother. "Really, now? I remember in high school how you got detention after coming to class with silver underwear over your jeans and an alien pro-"
Kevin was interrupted as a forkful of wedding cake was put into his mouth by Ducan.
"Here, have some more cake, Kevin," Ducan said hurriedly, with an undertone of embarrassment.

"What now?" Faye arched an eyebrow at Ducan: "Silver underwear? Well that explains you stopping in front of Victoria's Secret when we went shopping for baby clothes."
Alcee snorted back a laugh while Ducan blushed and messed with the tablecloth. After a few mintues of snickering, Alcee said:
"I sure Ducan like the lotions they have."

"OK, I think it's time to check on the band. Their break should be over!" Ducan shot out of his seat and scurried off.
Kevin was trying hard not to laugh but Danny next to him was immersed in giggles, almost choking on his champagne.
"What's going on here?" Johnny Dartmoore walked towards the main table. "Ducan was off like a shot and his face is all red! Don't tell me he's already drunk! I know that boy can hold his liquor!" he swelled proudly for a moment. "We Dartmoore men have been reputed to drink three pints more than anyone else! It's our Irish blood!"
He looked at his eldest son who was grinning. "Kevin! Did you blab out something embarrassing about Ducan? That's no good, teasing the groom! I bet when you get married to that lad next to you there, Ducan can dig up some real dirt on you at your banquet table!"
Kevin spit out the champagne he had in his mouth and coughed. "DAD!" he yelled, turning red.
"What? You mean to tell me you're not going to marry this handsome boy Danny when your younger brother is already married?"
Danny blushed but all were spared an answer as the band struck up into a slow ballad.
"Aha! It's time for the groom and groom to dance! Faye, I think I see your husband standing on the dance floor! He seems too scared to come back over here. Kevin, what story did you tell?"

"Oh it wasnt Kevin's fault. It was mine. But I'm sure Ducan will be ok." Faye took Mr. Dartmoore's hands, letting the energetic man hoast him from his seat. He waddled over to his blushing groom, smiling impishly:
"Oh love, I'm sorry! I didn't mean to embrass you." Faye bit his bottom lip and snickered: "Actually I did. Its payback for calling me a beach ball, which, I might add was close to beached whale." He hit Ducan playfully then snuggled in his arms: "So now were even, hm?"

Ducan gave a defeated sigh. "All right," he said and hugged Faye to him. "But you do make a very adorable beach ball."
The music was slow and soothing, and everyone gazed at the married couple dancing for a few minutes before more people drifted onto the floor to dance as well.
Ducan didn't say anything, merely content to enjoy the music and the cool evening breeze of the sea, and to dance away with Faye without a care in the world.

Faye enjoyed them swaying to soft music, he listened to Ducan breathe and his soothing heart rate. At total peace, the baker could ask for a better wedding night. Faye kissed his husband's cheek then pressed his lips against his ear: "Want to go walk by the ocean?"

Ducan smiled and nodded, and led Faye away from the dance floor. The two silently crept out of the tent without anyone the wiser and headed out onto the beach.
The tide was low and the sound of the small waves rolling onto the shore was relaxing. Ducan looked up at the bright full moon and was surprised at the amount of stars they could see from here.
He took Faye's hand and the two walked along the beach, bare feet leaving imprints in the sand.

The beach scenery took Faye's breath away. it was utterly romantic. Oranges, pinks and reds touch the horizon while the night sky stretch over them. He sighed deeply while salty breeze brushed his curls. He placed his hand under his belly to feel his baby was asleep: "Our son is asleep. I think it was all the cake I ate." he whispered, rubbing lightly and affectionately. Voices of his family in the distant, Faye wiggled his toes as the ocean lapped against them.

Ducan chuckled and tucked Faye away in his arms, letting their feet get wet by the cool evening seawater.
"You know, we really should think of a name for our son," he said after a while. "I have no idea what to call him, and I'm a writer. I have to think up names for my characters. But since I'm a sci-fi writer, I don't think you'd appreciate me naming our son Grolk-Ug'tah Dartmoore or something of the like."
He laughed into Faye's soft hair, his favorite place to nuzzle. "I just made that up out of the top of my head."

Faye giggled: "We could name him Spock, if you want sci-fi nerd extreme. But we shouldn't hurry into it. I want it to be unique though." He watched the frothy tide hit his toes: "Maybe we should get a baby book or something. I got my name from my birth mother. She was a folklore major."

"Really? That's interesting... A baby book sounds like a nice idea. Would be nice to give our baby a name that has some cultural significance. A good Irish name, perhaps."

"Or we could make up name. But I know that I want his middle name will be Ducan." Faye smilled, kissing his husband. Together, the couple strolled along, listening to the musical clash of land and tide. Night shadowed them quickly, Faye saw the tikis being lit in the distance and the band started to play slow jazz. Faye gazed up, starlight falling into his eyes: "Maybe his name should be a constellation...astronomy is nerdy right?"

"Are you implying that I am a nerd?" Ducan said teasingly, swinging their clasped hands back and forth, "I will have you know that I am sexy, and therefore, I cannot be a nerd. I am not a sexy nerd, I am just sexy."
He kissed Faye in between giggles. "But really, what constellation name would fit our little baby?"

"If it weren't so true, I would call you a nerdy narcissist. And yes, anything we come up with together would fit our child." Faye winced a little: "That wants to be named Beckham since he's kicking like crazy." He waddled towards the tents a little, squeezing Ducan's hand: "You ready to head back to the madness?"

Ducan kissed him quickly. "Alright, let's go back."
The two walked back to the festivities and joined their friends and family in celebration.
"Ducan! Where have you been? Not sneaking out early for the honeymoon night, eh?" That was his father. Ducan blushed and mumbled, "Daaaad..." under his breath.
"Well, here! Have some champagne!" He handed a sparkly glass to Ducan and lowered his voice, "You can have a tiny sip from Ducan's glass, Faye. When Lydia was pregnant with him I gave her a tiny sip of mine, saying it would give the baby a joyful personality!" He winked.
