All of it?

A lot, but not all at the same time.

...Two CDs worth of the Benedictine Monks of St James singing Gregorian chants (chanting Gregorian chants?)

Pretty surreal Christmas present.

...yep. Sounds just like I thought it would. >_>

Inside the case, under 'Other Titles Available' is listed '40 Irish Songs Everyone Ought to Know'.

xd

Julian - from ages ago, the Shosti was Opus 35, I think - Concerto No.1 for piano and orchestra. There's a moment in the allegro where the piano just shimmers...

That's enough chanting for now, maybe. Jazz Suite here I come... heart

Morphine - All Wrong.

I love Pandora.com, it's so very very useful for showing me obscure bands which I really like. <3

Their new inclusion of classical music is pretty bad though, there's a lot of genome-trait refining to be done

I've had 'In Rainbows' in almost constantly since downloading it.

I don't know the piano concertos particularly well, but they're pretty cool. Probably not his most serious work though (concertos rarely are.)

If you get a chance, check out the Eighth Quartet for something truly mind blowing

Listened to Mahler 5 today - it's a bit like being made love to by God

Gogol Bordello - Super Taranta!

...I got to the end of my usual circuit for running through the woods, and it came on - it was such a good track, I decided to run on in a straight line and explore until it ended... It was seven minutes long, and I wound up next to a ditch, in the middle of a load of fields. >_>

But then, that's not hard situation to get into in East Anglia. heart

I realised the other day that I was familiar with quite a lot of Mahler... I listened to a whole load of classical music when I was much younger, in the Musicbox series. Tapes. Heh. One side was an uninspired, and occassionally disturbing story featuring two contrived main characters who would suddenly find themselves in IN NEW YORK or IN SPACE or IN THE LAND OF INSPIRATION (for most of the Mahler, it was 'in Australia'... rolleyes ), but the other side was the unadulterated music.

So, now I know what it's called... Mahler 5 heart

And...I'm...well. Listening to If You're Into It from Flight of the Conchords.
Edit: Can't remove the slash from 'You're' for some reason. ¬_¬

Kind of suitable seeing as tonight's boatie drinking party found a million copies of the CUSU LGBT 'Freedom' guide to sex... our winding-up stroke chants are going to be based on it from now on. It'll distract the other colleges, at least. twisted
