Rumors and Plants (NightWerewolf here)

Eva gasped. The ring was beautiful and perfect. The people around her watched and smiled at the two of them. The lead singers in the band watched and smiled at them. Tears were forming in her eyes because she was so happy. "Yes!" She said almost too loudly. "Yes! A million times yes!"

Alex chuckled and put the ring on her finger. "Now you see why I went through all of this." He sat back down and smiled at his new fiance.

As he sat back down, Eva looked at her ring. She couldn't believe that she was getting married. The waitress came back and handed them their deserts and the check. She walked away without saying a word. Eva wiped her tears. "Great now I'm a mess." She chuckled.

Alex chuckled and took her hand. "You're still beautiful to me. So what if you got a little emotional. Most girls do when the man of there dreams proposes to them don't they?"

Eva laughed and nodded as she wiped her tears with her other hand. "So this should be a good sign for you. Everything was wonderful."

Alex nodded. "I tried my best. And if it brought you tears of joy then I must have done my part well."

They ate and talked and Alex payed for the bill. They walked outside and waited for the car to come. A little boy walked up to her and tugged on her dress. Eva looked down and smiled at the boy from the grocery store robbery. She knelt down. "Hello again." The boy wrapped his arms around her.

"Billy." A woman said as she ran up to him. "We don't hug strangers." She whispered to the boy. The let go and Eva stood up. "Oh, wow. I didn't know it was you. Thank you for saving my boy's life." The woman said.

"It's was nothing. Really. I just did the same thing I would have done if he was my own child." Eva smiled.

Alex smiled at the two. It turned out that the boy in his mother turned out ok. For that he was happy. It also seemed that Eva would make a great and caring mother some day.

They waved goodbye to the two of them and the valet brought back his car. Eva got in and looked at her ring again. She looked at Alex and smiled at the love of her life.

Alex smiled back and took her hand as they drove off. "You can thank Riley for that ring as well." He chuckled.

Eva raised an eyebrow. "So that's where you two really were. I thought Riley seemed a little too happy after coming home from the vet." She shook her head in disbelief. "We should thank her for everything."

Alex nodded. "Yeah, we owe it to her for getting this far." He smiled. "But you have to admit. She's a good actor.

She agreed. "I'll say." They drove back to her house and the two of them walked in. Eva called for Riley but couldn't find her. "Huh, I guess she's out finding her own food."

Alex blinked and looked around a little. "I guess so. But she'll happy to know that you are now my fiance." He grinned happily and kissed her quickly.

Eva wrapped her arms around him. "I love you, Alex."
