Yvonne wanted to try out something new, and that "something" was quidditch. Sure, it was a dangerous sport, and if her mother found out, she might pass out with worry. But, hey, nobody died in Hogwarts from the sport (yet). From the whispers and gossips thrown around the school, quidditch was fun, enjoyable (if you can overlook the fact that most emerge from a game with multiple broken bones), and would look good on job applications. Besides, it was time for Yvonne to show off her hard work in Advanced Flying courses, which she had taken.
"It's a nice day, isn't it?" the Slytherin greeted the captain (at least, she thought he was, being the only experienced-looking student here). She took a form and filled it out.

Ashley walked onto the pitch, already spying the fact that he could see at least one new player. Sadly, he couldn't see anyone else currently. The fact they needed an emergency tryout was bad, considering that apparently no one else on the team thought to show up for games. A vein ticcing in his jaw was the only sign the parselmouth wasn't happy about the situation. Crossing his arms, he looked around at everyone else that was here and stood next to Yvonne, wondering what position she seemed to be interested in.

Kenny scuffed his shoes as he walked to the pitch, pretty sure he had his spot already, but knowing he needed to try out all the same. He took a form and quickly filled it out before crossing his arms and fiddling with his aunt's necklace under his shirt. He vaguely wondered if he would have to wait long before they were in the air. If they did, then there was a problem. He did have an assignment for Art he had to turn in soon, and he needed to work on it.

He sized up the meager looking team, noted an unfamiliar face in the crowd and was thankful, but there was one particular head of blonde curls he had hoped would show up. She didn't. He cleared his throat and shook his head; now wasn't the time to be dwelling on Romellier, anyway. "Glad to see you all here... As I'm sure many of you have noticed, a few of our players have... personal matters to tend to." He chose his words carefully, after all, it wasn't like it was any of his business to be talking about other student's problems. "Our captain being included. So, we have a few open positions on the team, and until Daniel can fully play, I'll need a reserve chaser to step in for him.
"Well... while we wait to see if anyone else shows up, we'll go ahead and begin." He nodded his head affirmatively and shuffled through the leaflets of information to divide the team. "Alright, Kenny, looks like you're the only aspiring seeker. You already know what to do.
"Green team will be Ashley as chaser and Yvonne as beater, the silver team will have Camila for chaser and Mira for beater. And I'll play as keeper against both teams. Chasers, remember to fly back to midfield after every score attempt to keep it fair." He nodded. "Alright, into positions," he gestured and waited. First, he unleashed the snitch only to have it disappear from view. Then he unlatched the bludgers from their chains, ducked to avoid a sucker punch as they bounced into play. Last, but not least, he kicked the quaffle upwards into the air with the tip of his foot for the chasers.
