Lt. Brookman Lady Blodwynn Asmondai Lt. Brookman http://i525.photobucket.com/albums/cc337/deathstrike01/wallofmaryters.jpg Lady Blodwynn Wall of Martyrs? sweatdrop Yeah, no. talk2hand And for the price of £100, $160 and 130€. :3 .......must be preeeetty loooooooooong defense wall then...?? <.<"You do get a fair amount of plastic for that price, so I'd say it is a fair trade in this case. Do we want to pay that much for a set of terrain pieces sadly ruined by the over the top iconography and piles of dead moulded onto the walls? It would be nice if they casted the plastic so that the extra iconography and/or corpses were panels that could be added to the walls to taste, but I doubt that's the case. An Xacto knife and some plasticard might be your best friend in this case...? I'm still working on a set of castle walls to use for essentially this same purpose.

I am somewhat disappointed that this hasn't been posted here before now..
The Hobbit is now on advance order and can be found here. Here's a quick run down of what's coming this December!
As a minor note, I'm sure a lot of you hate GW for doing this, but if you could keep any pointless hate out of this thread, that would be great. Violations will be dealt with severely. emotion_donotwant
Quote: The Hobbit: Escape from Goblin Town - Limited Edition contains 56 Citadel Miniatures including: Gandalf the Grey, Bilbo Baggins, Thorin Oakenshield, the limited edition Radagast the Brown, Oin the Dwarf, Gloin the Dwarf, Nori the Dwarf, Ori the Dwarf, Kili the Dwarf, Fili, the Dwarf, Dwalin the Dwarf, Bombur the Dwarf, Bofur the Dwarf, Bifur the Dwarf, The Goblin King, Grinnah the Goblin, The Goblin Scribe, Goblin Captain, 36 Goblin Warriors, and The Goblin King's platform. Also included is a 48 Page full colour 'Your Journey Begins Here' booklet, 1 Play Sheet, a 112 page full colour rules manual, 8 Dice, and 1 Ruler.
Quote: The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey Strategy Battle Game is the tabletop game for two or more players that enables you to recreate the thrilling events of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey with your collection of Citadel miniatures.
This 288-page full-colour hardback rules manual contains all the information you need to begin your adventures in Middle-earth and unleash the heroes of Thorin's Company and their dreaded foes on the tabletop.
This manual includes: full rules for playing The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey with your friends; ideas for beginning your collection; seven exciting scenarios recreating the events of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey as well as more taken from the history of Middle-earth, such as the attack at Weathertop; details on fighting Points Match games; and a gallery of Middle-earth, showcasing gloriously painted Citadel Miniatures.
Quote: Tom the Troll, William the Troll and Bert the Troll are colossal bullies who raid villages and waylay travellers to satisfy their considerable appetites. They are strong, tough and exceedingly dangerous.
The Stone Trolls are huge and wonderfully detailed models. Their skin is thick, creased and weathered like rocks, and they are garbed in simple clothing such as loin cloths and straps. They're sculpted in dynamic poses, looming forward with an outstretched arm or towering over their foes, and they carry a range of items - one holds up a huge piece of tree, ready to smash it down on someone, another clutches a spoon (though there are options for it to be armed with a fork or piece of timber if a spoon isn't vicious enough). The kit comes with a piece of meat roasting over a fire, which is surrounded by rocks. There is also a small pile of tools and weapons suitable for significantly shorter people, as well as items of luggage.
Quote: The denizens of Goblin Town are stunted, degenerate creatures that have been afflicted by all manner of mutations and deformities. Their sinister appearance is quite fitting, however, for they are spiteful, evil creatures with a penchant for cruelty and violence. Individually weak, feeble even, as a group these Goblins overwhelm their foes with weight of numbers and shocking feats of violence.
The Goblin Warriors are wiry, muscular little creatures, with bulging eyes and ferocious expressions. They are sculpted in all manner of hunched or misshapen poses. Covered in dubious boils and lumps, they wear loin cloths and various straps, and hold an array of primitive weapons, from axes to swords. These are a great way to build up a collection of miniatures for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey
This kit contains 18 components and twenty 25mm round bases with which to make 18 Goblin Warriors.
Quote: The fast-moving and fanatical Hunter Orcs serve as the right hand of Azog, a relentless band who will stop at nought to slay his quarry.
These Hunter Orc miniatures come in an array of dynamic poses. They sport mainly bald heads with tufts of hair in the centre, lending them a savage appearance. They possess muscular torsos with limited armour across their thighs and upper bodies. They carry bows and a quiver full of arrows is slung over their shoulder, while some grip curved, crude blades.
This kit contains 28 components and twelve 25mm round bases with which to make 12 Hunter Orcs.
Quote: Powerfully muscled, with thick matted fur, Fell Wargs would be considered fearsome even before one saw the dark glow in their eyes and realised that they are possessed by a sinister eldritch force.
These Hunter Orc miniatures come in an array of dynamic poses. They sport mainly bald heads with tufts of hair in the centre, lending them a savage appearance. They have muscular torsos with limited armour across thighs and upper bodies. Carrying a range of weaponry, the Hunter Orcs are sitting atop the Wargs, which are sculpted to have the appearance they're on the run. In a variety of poses, the creatures possess a prominent spine, with thick fur covering the front of beast. Each one has a ferocious head, snarling expressions and exposed teeth.
This kit contains 44 components and six 40mm round bases with which to make 6 Hunter Orcs on Fell Wargs.
Quote: A sinister kingdom, lorded over by the giant, bloated form of the Goblin King, Goblin Town is a dishevelled realm inhabited by stunted, twisted creatures. This mockery of a court, with its cruel bully-kind, is home to creatures of a deadly nature, troglodyte denizens of implacable cruelty.
Goblin Town is a fantastically detailed scenery piece. It is made largely of long strips of timber that have been haphazardly combined to provide long, rickety walkways suitable for the inhabitants of Goblin Town. As well as chain detailing and wide ladders, it is scattered with bones and skulls, and some fragments of bones are strapped like totems to the large poles that hold the walkways up. Rugged and erratic, this is impressive scenery piece can be constructed in a number of different configurations.
Quote: The White Council is Sauron's chief opponent in the middle years of the Third Age, and perhaps the greatest assembly of wisdom and martial prowess in this age or any other. In battle, the White Council are all but unmatched - such is their cunning and mastery of spells and magical power, that any who oppose them risks beguilement or outright destruction.
This White Council kit is made up of four unique figures produced in our premium Citadel Finecast resin. Wearing a serene and graceful expression, Galadriel stands in a flowing white gown that pools on the floor around her, while her long, rippled hair cascades down her back. Elrond stands in a wise and noble pose with a long gown and tunic, and upon the underside of his cloak is ornate detailing that has been sculpted onto it. He also wears a subtle yet ornate headpiece. Gandalf the Grey is posed with a determined expression, clutching the hilt of his sword with one hand, and his staff in other. His long hair and beard is so volumous it blends together, and he wears elegant clothing bound with belts across his waist.Saruman the White is also garbed in an exquisite cloak and tunic, with detailing along the hem of the cloak. He possesses a wise expression with one hand touching his chest and the other clutching his ornate staff. These models would make incredible additions to any collection.
Quote: Orc holds and Goblin haunts throughout the Misty Mountains are in Bolg's thrall.
Bolg is hulking, finely detailed model with metal gauntlets and shoulder pads over which finger-like bone detailing can be seen. His muscular frame is garbed in chainmail, fur detailing, thick boots, and he carries three weapons - two swords and a two-handed pick which is held aloft, ready to smash against his enemies. With long hair and beard, and a snarling expression, there are also metal strips across his head, all of which makes Bolg a rather ferocious miniature and an excellent addition to any The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey collection.
Quote: Narzug is an expert shot even from the saddle of a racing Fell Warg.
Shrouded in feral clothing, Narzug holds aloft a bow and carries a low-slung quiver of arrows. Narzug is sculpted standing with one foot upon a rock and a savage, roaring expression on his face. He has thick skin, and wears simple clothing such as straps and a loin cloth. Narzug would make an excellent addition to any The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey collection.
Quote: Fimbul is a vicious fighter and an experienced tracker who will doggedly pursue an enemy without ever tiring of the chase.
Fimbul carries a jagged sword, and is garbed in armoured boots, with a ragged cloak, gloves, and bone-like armour detailing across his torso. On foot he is posed defiantly, ready for combat. On the Warg he grips onto the fur with one hand, and his sword is raised aloft in the other. The Warg is posed as if on the run, with thick fur across the front of its body and a ferocious head and open maw. These models would make excellent additions to any The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey collection.
Quote: Goblin Town teems with incalculable hordes of repellent creatures, all bent to the malevolent will of the Goblin King. Some rise above the status of their peers, to become Captains, leaders among the Goblin throng.
The Goblin Captain miniature is as wiry, muscular and misshapen as any other Goblin. Notable about this model is his bulging eyes, a satchel slung around the side of his waist, the tufts of hair growing by his large ears, and he is gesturing with one long outstretched arm towards the distance. Standing with his mouth agape, the Goblin Captain carries a large primitive sword. All of these details come rich in the detail of Citadel Finecast.

Darkweaver66 Lt. Brookman Here's something good from Forge World: Autocannons, OH EM GEE now I wish I hadnt ordered a demolisher sad Well, could be worse. All my friends are jumping on the pre-Heresy boat and all I can do is watch with a tear in my eye and an empty wallet that's sighing in relief.
