Well if Valentine's Day was named after St. Valentine, the day is probably a birth or death date for that person.

From what I can remember, St. Valentine was a priest and he was marrying couples. At that time some Emperor banned marriages and when St. Valentine was found out, he was put to jail and later killed.

No, I have never met someone that said their favortie day is Valentine's day.
