She had 'gotten over' the space tower, like she was supposed to. Helping others helped her, for sure. But, even though she'd moved on, it still stuck in her mind. More than any other memory, it did. Fresh burns from the exploding snowmobile couldn't rival the space tower, but it felt like that memory.
The snow made those better, though, so she couldn't complain as she continued digging... |

Gog, what was she doing, thinking about any of this? She needed to dig. Why couldn't she just ******** shake it? She needed to be completely balanced in mind to do her job, otherwise... She didn't know. She just wanted to go back to when she could just read her advice wall and grin at the fun game she was playing. |
