Chloe flew closer to the goal. It seemed she was in the clear for now though how long that would last was beyond her. She hopped she could just get to that goal and take a shot at Jarlath.

Alice continued following the fast moving ball. She was loving this despite being on a broom. Maybe she could truly get used to this then again the game wasn't over yet now was it. Alice fought to keep her thoughts on the snitch as she chased it around hoping to close the gab between her and that golden ball she wanted to catch.

Elsie didn't get the quaffle, so she took off after Chloe, intent on stealing it from the older girl. She tried her best to catch up to her and grab for the quaffle, hoping her ploy worked.

Jess continued chasing after the snitch, knowing all too well that Alice was doing the same thing. She was determined to catch it. If she was beaten by a second year who'd never played before her embarrassment would have no end. Though, the younger rival seemed to know what she was doing.

Chloe was so close to the goal she could almost envision giving the quaffle a nice toss. However Elsie chased after her attempting to steal it back. Quickly maneuvering away from the younger Hufflepuff she narrowly dodged the girl's attempt. "That was close..." she muttered before racing up to the goal.

"Here goes nothing." Chloe told herself as she gave the quaffle a good toss toward the goal that Jarlath was guarding. Maybe just maybe she'd have her first form of luck today.

Alice was so close she could almost see the snitch in her hand. Yeah... truthfully she didn't see it. Seer or not she imagined that Jess would be the one to catch it. She'd after all have much better luck being more experienced and better at handling a broom in general. Sadly Alice really needed to work on her coordination with a broom.

Raph shook his head when he hit the younger badger. He hadn't meant to hit so hard. But he couldn't really help it. So he turned his attention to the chasers and Elsie and Chloe were going "fighting" about the quaffle. One had it then the other. So he wanted to help the seventh year. He swung at another bludger aimed at Elsie

Jasper saw the bludger he hit miss and then saw it come right back at him. Raphael had fired it right back at him and he couldn't get out of the way. With no one there to help him, Jasper took the bludger in the arm. Luckily it wasn't his good arm but it still hurt. Shaking it off Jasper saw Raphael aim for Elsie. He had to help her...

Racing in the direction of the bludger Jasper hoped to get there in time to help the blond Hufflepuff out and hopefully send it back at Raphael. He needed to protect his team right? That's what Beater's did.

Jess had to remind herself to stay calm and not get too excited as she got even closer to the Snitch. In a moment or two she'd be able to try to grab it... but not yet. She inched forward on her broom in preparation.

She knew Jess was right there but she wasn't going to let her have it easily even if she never stood much of a chance against the older puff. "I can do this..." Alice told herself as she reached out and tried to grab the golden ball that flew only inches away from her and Jess.
