Azriel giggled at the sudden explosion of pudding love. "Maybe you and my pet can have the butler bring you both pudding for dinners?" he asked with a teasing grin.
"Lucky? Mmm... I suppose. He was a present for a job well done so far. Best gift I ever received." the bat smirked.
Okay so sometimes he thought of Hiroki as a gift and other times he thought of the man as his reward. Either way, Izo had given the okay to catch him.
And the chase had been fun... except the pissing off Ishihara part...
Seeing that look on Oreo's face though made that smirk turn into the most devilish of grins. "So you can what? Admire him? Worship him? Compliment him? Or is this all just a front for one long good screw?" he teased, spooning the first bite of pudding up for Oreo to eat.
But then suddenly the bat went still and he glanced over his shoulder, every fiber of his being tensed and coiled, ready to spring.
When he saw it was the serpent however, Katsu relaxed for the most part, even smiling to the man. Those dark eyes zeroed in on the box in hand and the young man's gaze widened slightly.
"Sweet things..."
He could practically smell them even if Shizuka was on the other side of the room.
"What prompted this?" Katsumi asked quizzically, setting the pudding down and walking over to relieve the snake of his burden.

In The Pit
"He has a butler?" That was when Oreo realized how well off Katsu's pet must be. Well that was kind of different from what he had thought. But Katsu had mentioned something about his pet being better off than most.
Then a sly look came across Oreo's face as Katsu spoke of Naoko, "I'd admire him, of course!" But the look on his face had so many other thoughts swimming in it as he sucked in that bite of pudding. "Now I'd rather have him worship me." He laughed then poked at Katsu's belly feeling the man tensing up.
Oreo tensed too and then glanced the way that Katsu had seeing #2 walking in with Dunkin Donuts! "Now that's just cruel. Oh...that coffee...it smells so good. Heavenly. I've not had a good cup of coffee in a long time."
Shizuka handed off the box and then set the cup holder down beside him pulling one out for Katsu then one out for Oreo. The man in the bed took a hold of his cup and sat up carefully. "ありがとうございました。After the first sip, Oreo was in Heaven.
Once free of the goods, Shizuka shrugged his shoulders as if to say no special reason. Even though he had used the reason as a place to talk to #1. No reason to tell Katsu this tidbit. But inside the box were 13 delicious morsels of donut goodness. Jellies, Chocolate, Glazed, Cream filled, Cakes, and a long john.
I didn't know what you would like but hopefully you can pick a couple that you will enjoy? And he didn't mention that he actually liked drinking coffee and eating donuts at that small cafe. Sometimes it was best to leave certain things unsaid.

Azriel ignored the coffee and instead was focused on the box of sweet delicious morsels.
"I swear I have no self control..." the bat whispered, plucking out a jelly filled donut and then bringing one of the cake donuts over for Oreo.
It would be the least sweet of the bunch and probably go best with coffee.
After having consumed half the jelly donut in a mere few bites, Katsu remembered the coffee and opened his cup up, adding cream and liquid sugar... lots of both... "Oishii...." he sighed happily, setting the cup down and falling over on his back at the food of Oreo's bed, happily munching away.
Sweets brought out a very childish side of Katsumi that he didn't understand and that he didn't care to figure out either. He LOVED sweet things... having been deprived of them for most of his life.
"I'm tempted to hug you... but then I might get glaze on you from my sticky fingers." Azriel winked at Shizuka just before Ono walked in with his clipboard.
"I'm surprised to find you back so fast." the surgeon spoke to the serpent, taking up his own coffee.
For a moment Takashi looked at the donuts then took one of the glazed for himself. "It's been quite a while since I've had a donut. Arigatou gozaimasu."

In The Pit
Oreo looked at the cake donut that he was given and slowly brought it to his lips. He prayed that he'd be able to keep it down like the yogurt and pudding. His lips surrounded the edge of the donut and he took a slow bite chewing carefully.
It took him a minute to finally swallow. Afterwards he prayed again and over the course of another minute nothing bad happened! So he nibbled on another bite and then sipped his coffee. "Look! I ate a bite without...throwing up!"
Shizuka clapped his hands lightly for Oreo then watched Katsu fall in love with the donut. It was amusing to watch as the bat lay on the bed eating the jelly donut.
But then Shizuka glanced at Ono as he walked into the room and picked up his coffee. A slight smile formed on his lips. I'm quick. An even broader smile formed when the think doctor took up a donut. Well at least no one would complain about the sweets. Yes, things like this rarely showed up in the Pit but Shizuka didn't feel bound to live a life of Pit food. Bleh. Ok so maybe the new kitchen would improve things. However, Shizuka preferred the food above.
Oreo ate another bite and swallowed again, "It's been years since I had a Dunkin Donut. Is there a shop close?"
Shizuka nodded and pointed up then left then counted off two fingers.
"So about two blocks from here on the street. That's close. Ah...I can't wait to eat like this every day. Well, not like this but real food." Oreo sighed then realized his tummy was a little gurgly. "Mm...I better stop here with the donut for a few minutes." Turning slowly he laid on his side just in case he needed the trash can. He set the donut and the coffee on the table nearby because he wasn't about to let those go.
Maybe I should bring donuts down here more often. Seems like everyone is much happier with them, except poor Oreo.
typed Shizuka on his phone then held it over Katsu's face to read. Don't you have work to do today? One particular doctor should be out of his lab soon. You might want to head topside in the near future.

Katsumi flat out groaned, "I don't want to go to work... not when you're feeding me donuts..." he teased before sitting back up. "Besides... this is more fun than a meeting..."
It was obvious that Katsu didn't really want to leave... even if he knew he needed to.
Ono sighed, "If you have work, Katsu-san, you should go to it. No doubt someone is waiting for you wherever that may be."
Dark eyes flickered to the man and as if in defiance, the bat popped the rest of the donut in his mouth, curling his legs up under him as he sat at the end of the bed.
Soon though, Azriel was looking at Oreo and once the donut was completely gone he reached a hand out, and rested it on the ill man's leg. "I'm glad you got to eat something delicious for a change. Sadly they're both right... and I've been here a lot longer than I intended."

In The Pit
As soon as Katsu decided to move however, Shizuka stiffened. His ears had heard the familiar footsteps. His eye flicked from Ono to Katsu to Oreo. And his fingers quickly typed, The Doctor comes.
Oreo looked at Katsu and Ono then back at the assassin. The heck if he knew what to do! He was the victim on the bed!! Except if the Doctor caught Katsu here it would be a world of hurt for everyone he imagined! "Katsu! Hide!" he whispered in a sharp hiss as if the Doctor could somehow hear them from down the hall way.

There was a visible paling on Katsu's face. Quickly the bat grabbed his cup of coffee but then he paused.
Where the hell would be hide in here?!
"There isn't anywhere to hide..." the young man whispered, looking to Shizuka quickly.
For a moment, the bat prayed that the snake would push him into the walls... but he couldn't reveal those hidden places down here... especially with Oreo being in the room.
Then he smirked and quickly dashed to the fridge, phone back in his pocket and coffee cup in hand.
After all it would look odd if there was an extra cup.
Opening the fridge, Azriel was glad to see that he only had to move a couple of things to the top and then re-situate the middle shelf. As much as he wanted to unplug the damn thing, that would be noticed...
And so, Katsumi folded his lithe thankfully bendable body, into the fridge and closed the door.
But it was cold...
Very cold...
Almost immediately the bat began to shiver, his body contorted to fit.
Katsu prayed that the doctor wouldn't remain for long.
'I hate cold... just don't think about it, Katsumi... think... think of a warm bath...' the poor man thought to himself, trying not to shiver too badly.

In The Pit
The Doctor knocked first then entered the room. "Ah...I smelled coffee. #2...did you bring these down?"
Shizuka nodded silently as the Doctor picked up the last cup from the cup holder. "I'm sure this one is for me." Said the doctor as he noticed the creamers and sugars packets on the side.
"Uhn....I...really like sugary and milky coffee." Oreo filled in quickly and PRAYED that the mad man wouldn't check his cup.
The Doctor lifted an eyebrow as he looked at the Dunkin Donut box. Then peered inside the box and took out a donut. "Interesting choice for a meal. Ono-kun. How are the tests going with this one?"
Shizuka slowly moved around the bed and leaned up against the Frig. He didn't want anyone here in trouble for Katsu's appearance. The assassin wasn't sure who it would be worse on if they were caught. Ono...or Katsu. He doubted the Doctor would harm the experiment. Although stranger things had happened.

Inside the fridge, Azriel was shivering badly. Just a normal colder temperature home could bring on the shivers...
But a fridge?!
Outside, Ono smiled politely to the Doctor. "Actually things are going far more smoothly today than yesterday. It seems Oreo-san has a bit more of an appetite, which makes things a bit less stressful both on his body and mind. So far there has been very little change, but at the moment that is to be expected. I doubt I will see any results for the first week."
Carefully, Takashi handed the Doctor his clipboard, letting the older man see the results thus far.
"To be honest, sir. The serpent has helped Oreo-san greatly today. Things will be much easier on the experiment and the data will be easier to get, if he continues his pressure point administrations."

In The Pit
The Doctor set the coffee down on the table and took the clipboard while biting into the donut. "Mmm...not bad. A little sweet though. Next time bring some cinnamon rolls if you're getting sweets." commented the Doctor as he looked over the results. "I see. But there has been improvement?" So what made you decide to use #2's skills, Ono-kun? I'm surprised you persuaded him to help here."
Turning around the Doctor walked over and looked at the IV in Oreo's arm and then up at the bag. "Mm.....a very healthy specimen this one is. I'll be very curious to see further results. If #2's help has been useful, then he shall come by once a day while you're working on this project. If the experiment doesn't seem to be advancing in a week or two, I've a few ideas for options you can add to the mix. We can discuss the progress at our weekly meeting"
Shizuka said nothing but internally, he pondered the safety of any options that the Doctor might have come up with. Oreo didn't seem like a worthless creature like several of the others that had been dragged down.
Oreo became very quiet because he didn't like the sound of that idea at all.

Ono nodded, "He was passing by actually and Oreo was feeling quite miserable so I asked if he might relieve the man's pain momentarily."
Okay so that's not how it happened at all...
But he couldn't say that it was because the shark had burst in here and upset the world order of things!
"Options? I'll inquire about then at the meeting then. Hopefully Oreo-san will start showing signs of the changes I've hypothesized would occur." the surgeon continued.
In truth, he really didn't want to deal with Katsu if the pet had to go through any side experiments.

In The Pit
The Doctor nodded then glanced over at #2. "Go. Wander the halls tonight and make sure everyone stays in line. Ah...yes, Ono-kun, in the near future set up an appointment with Katsu-kun to give his pet a checkup. He's due. Yes, I know you have your experiment here, so make sure that you set the date to coincide to when you can leave him for longer periods. I'm sending you because Matsumoto-san expressed that it was a priority to make sure that pet remained healthy but...Katsu has annoyed me lately and I fear that it might not be healthy for him for me to make a visit this month."
Shizuka moved away from the frig and glanced at Oreo once before walking out of the room as his Master ordered.
Oreo on the other hand was stuck in the bed knowing that Katsu was in the frig. What the hell could he do!?
The Doctor again glanced over Oreo then looked at Ono again, "So what are your next steps with this one?" He opened Oreo's mouth and peered inside then started giving him a bit of a physical exam. Oreo cringed inside as the cold hands of the Doctor wandered his flesh.

"Actually, I've already spoken with Katsu-san on this matter and he has told me that soon he will be unavailable for about two months." Ono continued as if nothing done so far phased him. "He hasn't told me the exact date when he will be available for the check up on his pet but he promised to get back to me before he left. If I can check on his pet after Oreo-san is out of my care, then that will make things easier certainly."
Takashi took back the clipboard and moved a couple of pages. "I'm going to continue checking his blood, heart rate, urine, etc. I'm running the tests every day to better track results. If Oreo-san can keep more food down then he will remain healthier certainly... and that is where the serpent came in quite handy today, sir." Ono smiled slightly, a bit amused at his boss's words. "And I don't blame you for being annoyed with Katsu-san, sir. He has a tendency to push the wrong buttons."

"Ah...good. Mm...Oreo, you need a little dental work. You've a cavity. Now that is annoying." The Doctor took a couple of tools and a light out of his pocket and view in the man's mouth further. "Ono-kun, mmm...interesting. Oreo-kun, You've had your wisdom teeth removed yes?"
"Umm..yes siRrr...when....NNninI waas in muyyyy fotteens." Oreo coughed and gasped between the tools poking in his mouth. The Doctor glanced back at Ono and smirked, "You may be having a little success, Ono-kun. Appears he has a new wisdom tooth coming in...out of old scars." Whether or not it was true success remained to be seen but...it appeared to be something.

Blinking in surprise, Ono walked over and looking into Oreo's mouth. There was the very tip of a tooth coming in in the far back.
"Sugoi..." Takashi whispered before making notes on his clipboard.
If it could grow back teeth, it was feasible it could grow back bone as well... the surgeon's mind was filled with how this could be tweaked and then implicated for patients who had lost limbs in the near future.
He was so engrossed that he had completely forgotten that poor Katsu was shivering so badly that the bat feared he might chip a tooth from his teeth chattering.
