What wouldn't I do for King and Country... Yes Sir!------------------------------------------------}:- Asato Hiroki Chairman's Secretary - Ohayou Productions
The world has....changed
"I didn't say.....that...." and Hiroki's shoulders slumped. And he sat there an listened to Katsumi's detailed information. Way too detailed for Hiroki.
Once Katsu was done, Hiroki reached out so he could pulled the younger man to his chest and bury his face against Katsu's stomach. For a moment, he just sat there breathing and holding Katsu.
"He can stay...." said Hiroki, "But I didn't ask for every detail..all I wanted to know was know was how well you knew him....and...if he needed medical supervision. You said he was injured. I didn't ask for secrets..."
"Sometimes you read to much into what I'm looking for...." Hiroki said softly as he held Katsumi close. He didn't want to argue with the younger man, he just wanted to be loved and love in return. His fingers rubbed along the small of Katsumi's back just wanting to soft arms around him rather than the darker thoughts of what Oreo's life was.
His lips kissed the soft belly before him and imagined the pale skin under the shirt. But then....his tummy growled.

Hiroki's actions... surprised Azriel and he quickly wrapped his arms about the other man, worried initially. But as the man spoke... realization dawned on him and his arms tightened protectively. When Hiroki's stomach growled, Katsumi couldn't help but laugh softly. "Gomen... I didn't mean to upset you, Asato-kun. Perhaps it was not really a secret to be kept from you but from everyone else, hmm? You know my past... why not know the same of those I claim as trusted friends... especially when they will be under your roof while I'm gone." Gently Azriel raised one hand, letting his nails run through the older man's hair. "Sometimes I read more than I should... but I didn't want to give you reason not to trust me with half truths. I've already lied enough today... though it was to a man who readily deserved my lies." sighing softly, Katsu bent at the waist, kissing the top of Hiroki's head. "Let's go eat, ne? I haven't had anything all day and I'm afraid my stomach may protest soon like yours."

Asato just closed his eyes and remained where he was holding Katsu. His eyes started closing with those nails in his hair. He always liked feeling them against his scalp when they were gentle.
He sighed softly when Katsu kissed his head "Food...sounds good." Asato didn't add to anything that Katsu had said. Sometimes it took Asato time to digest Katsu's world and obviously this whole conversation leaned that way. He wasn't sure he wanted to know much about Isamu. And...well that was the man's first name he was sure. What was the last one? Proper greetings aside. But he didn't ask. He really didn't want to add to the previous conversation and speak about 'secrets' anymore.
Slowly, he rose but didn't quite let go of Katsu as he glanced around the room finally settling his eyes on the door, "You're probably starving if you've not eaten."
He pulled Katsu out of the room and down the stairs. At the bottom of the stairs, Hi-chan was mewing and reaching up the first step trying to bound to them but...not quite able yet. "Awh...he's really trying. He missed you."
The little kitten wound around Katsu's legs rubbing his small body against the young man purring as loud as his little lungs could do!
Hiroki let go of Katsu and called to his butler knowing that Hi-chan probably sucked Katsu attention immediately. "We're both hungry...and I've no idea what time it is. I'd like whatever is on my menu that I can eat and...well for him. Mm...whatever was on the regular menu for today."

Azriel would have stood there like that, gently running his fingers through the older man's hair, for hours if allowed. He enjoyed it too... which was evident from how he had done the same with Oreo not long ago. It was soothing for the bat as well... There was no resistance, though Katsu did leave the blanket on the window seat, as he walked with Hiroki. But the kitten at the bottom of the stairs... Smiling, Katsumi scooped the little guy up and clung to him, kissing the kitten on the nose. "I missed you, Hiyokomame-chan..." the bat spoke happily as the tiny fur ball pawed at the man's cheek. "Wait... you have a menu?" Okay so this was news to him, and intriguing. "So... it's a surprise then?" Azriel asked, standing there and looking up at Hiroki, a kitten now curled around his neck at his shoulder. "What HAVE you been eating while I was gone anyway? Mmm... probably tastier food than me... though I did have Katsu-don last night. That was... interesting."

"Ah...yes. Well my menu is rather bland. I did have grilled cheese yesterday and tomato soup. But I'm suppose to follow a specific diet that the hospital gave me. My butler has the list of things I can eat right now. At least until next week. Then I get more solid foods. I'm not even sure what I get today." HIroki smiled, "I'll probably lose weight."
"Katsu-don? Mm...it's been awhile since I've had that. Did you like it? Mm...maybe I'll have some when I can eat more solid foods." Hiroki mused as he walked into the dining room and sat down. He yawned as the butler brought him a sparkling water with a touch of orange flavor to it "I'm stuck with water mostly. No coffee for awhile for me. And that sucks."
He smiled as he watched Katsu and Hi-chan cuddle. The kitten purred at Katsu's neck. "He loves you so much...."

"He must have really missed me." Azriel spoke, sitting at the table beside Hiroki, his long nails tickling the kitten on his shoulder. Of course it didn't occur to the young man at all that having a cat at the table probably wasn't a very well mannered thing to do. The butler however... "Sir, it is poor manners to bring an animal to the table." Dark eyes flickered to the servant, watching him in confusion. "Why? Hiyokomame belongs to me, doesn't he? I should be able to take him where I want." "It is a matter of propriety, sir." the butler continued, walking over and removing the kitten from Azriel's shoulder. He set the kitten down in a small cat bed in the corner of the room, giving it a treat in the process. The bat pouted for a moment, staring at his cat and wanting it to snuggle him. Maybe he wouldn't eat? Maybe he would just walk off and wait for Hiroki to come back upstairs? But then the butler set down a cup of hot green tea for Katsumi and placed a small plate of crackers on the table for the two to munch on until the food was ready. Sighing, but still obviously pouting about his sudden lack of kitten, Azriel refocused himself on what Hiroki had been saying. "Tomato soup?" Katsu asked, tilting his head to the side slightly. "Mmm... if you have that again I want to taste it. But Katsu-don was good... though I'm not sure I like pork all that much. It kind of weighs heavy on my stomach... but I ate it with Ko-kun and NAKO-san at the studio cafeteria so I wasn't going to be picky." Then again, when was the man ever really picky? Smiling slightly, Azriel's dark eyes fixed on Hiroki. "Water's better for you anyway. Tea's good too... can you have that? With it so cold out I would think the doctors to let you have some hot tea..."

Hiroki smiled as the butler put the kitten over in the corner. "You can snuggle him after dinner. The butler is right. He shouldn't be at the dinner table with you. I'm sure that Hi-chan won't mind snuggles by the fire place afterwards."
The older man didn't realize that Katsu was having a small kid-like fit for a moment warring in his head until the tea was sat down in front of him. "It was really tasty tomato soup. I even dipped my grilled cheese in it. Mmm...but my guests got to have a grilled cheese burger. And I was wishing I could eat that."
"I'm sure I'll have tomato soup again soon. So...if you're here you're welcome to have a bowl or two." Asato smiled and picked up a cracker before picking up his own tea. "Well...green tea is ok. But no black or any others right now. Mm...it's because of the caffeine. Nothing to upset the medication I'm on since I'm so sensitive. And...well I'm still healing inside so they don't want the caffeine to irritate anything."
"So...when does your tour start? Have you gotten all your costumes and everything underway?" asked Asato as he ate a cracker in between the sips of tea. He was wetting down the hard pieces of cracker so they'd go down easier. His insides were rather tender all around. "I saw that Shou-san's new PVs will be out soon prior to the tour and he has a televised interview this weekend on WoWoW. Are you going to be there?"

"Cheese burger?" Yet another food that wasn't quite in the forefront of the bat's mind. Part of him was annoyed at all the new foods that people ate regularly... whereas he'd never even dreamed of having. Sighing, Azriel leaned one elbow on the table, putting his chin in his hand, "I think I should just make Takatori get takeout from a different restaurant each day so I can try all these foods. It's getting ridiculous..." he said, a bit dejected at the notions. But the pets would get better food with the new kitchen in the PIT. They wouldn't survive on rice and the occasional bits of vegetables and protein. Then again, most of the pets didn't spend a majority of their lives below level 4 either... "Sensitive... mmm...I almost forgot that. I was wondering why you were taking such low dose pain medication. I... wish I could do more for you..." Katsu said, feeling a bit guilty as his free hand wrapped around the mug of hot tea. After all, he could ask the Doctor for a specifically tailored pain medication... "I... could get you something better but... I'm afraid of what I'd have to give for it to be honest. I don't enjoy owing my doctor any favors." sighing softly, Azriel let his arm fall onto the table, the bat's head following suit and laying on his flattened elbow, dark eyes closing as he soaked in the mug's warmth. "My PVs will be released tomorrow so you should see them on television. Both at the same time. But... Shou-san hasn't told me anything except that he's accepted me for the opening act... well accepted Mi-chan." the bat sighed once more. "Being so perky and happy is hard, Asato-kun... I miss my gore shows already... But... the tour starts soon and I have a lot of work to do with my music. In fact I'll probably be stuck in the studio for the next few days. I may even sleep at the SMASH dorms instead of go home. I know that's what Kaito-kun's been doing from time to time. My costumes are finished and ready... it's the choreography and I have to work on mostly... but yeah... I didn't think I was expected at Shou-san's interview... then again he may have just forgotten to mention that. Yesterday was... hectic."

"Yes, a cheese burger. Well a grilled cheese burger. You see first you take ground beef and season it, Then you cook it in a pan for a short while until the center is pink or mmm....slightly pink. Then you get two pieces of bread and coat them with butter. Put one in the pan and place the burger on top of it. Then, place a large slice of cheese on top of that before placing the other bread on top of the cheese. Cook one side until toasty brown and then flip to cook the other side toasty brown or until the cheese becomes gooey." Hiroki knew the recipe too well. He cooked these often when he was alone. One American sort of dish that could be made quickly that had a lot of protein and quick.
"You just need to get out more and go to restaurants to try things." said Hiroki with a smile as he took another cracker. "Soon you'll have a list of food you like and dislike."
"Ah...it's ok. I don't need you to be in debt to anyone for medication. I prefer to do things just the way I've been prescribed." answered Hiroki as he leaned back in his chair and sipped the green tea. "It's just nice to have you here....that's healing in its own way." He could have watched his...kitten...mm...no Katsu wasn't his kitten. But still, he wanted to watch him...and feel that warm fuzzy feeling again.
"Then I'll have to put on my TV so I can make sure not to miss it. Ah...maybe I'll have the butler record the TV for me because...I've been sleeping heavy. I really just want to get well soon." pouted Hiroki. It wasn't fun not being able to do anything but sit around.
However, the butler returned and handed Hiroki a package then walked out to continue to take care of dinner. Hiroki peered at the package and then started to open it quickly. "The Ipad! Fantastic!!" There was a kid like smile on Hiroki's lips as he pulled out the white thin tablet. Far thinner and lighter than any in the past. "I can play a game....and....I can read manga on this. I've been so dang bored lately."
He put it aside but he seemed a bit more perky, "I'd suspect you should ask Shou-san about it. Maybe he's going to make an announcement about you at the first interview and let you do your own interview later. Wouldn't be surprised considering if you went with him to his interview you might be assaulted by his Bees. I suspect that they'll put on a 'Show' for Shou-san like they always do. It really is pretty interesting to see such idol worship. I'd almost rather have you do your own interview so I don't have to worry about you."

"You'll make me one when you're well then?" Azriel asked seriously, looking to his pet. This man really did care... he gave advice and agreed to things that most people probably wouldn't have. It made something inside of Katsumi sigh because he simply didn't understand. Sure, he wanted Hiroki to hold him at night and keep him warm... the man's body just FELT right... And yet, he didn't know WHY. Watching as Hiroki seemed over joyed at the ipad caused Katsu to smile softly, his dark eyes taking in the scene. It just seemed to cute. "You don't need to worry about me." Azriel spoke seriously, sitting up and pulling Hiroki's ipad over. He quickly entered his own information for skype on one of the ipad's apps so that the two could talk to one another while he was on tour. "I can handle the pressure... though crowds really aren't my thing... I've been told I need to be more hands on with fans..." the bat sighed slightly. "But if I just stay in character as Mi-chan I can think of it as a performance and nothing more. They don't need to know the real me... and they never will anyway." he said, handing the ipad back. "There. Now you can talk to me via video while I'm gone. I'm really going to miss you and Hiyokomame... I missed you last night too... Actually I didn't even go home. I went to my mother's house instead... probably would've kept sleeping in if you and Kaito-kun hadn't both tried to call me... It's so nice there." Remembering he had some hot tea in front of him, Katsu picked up the mug and sipped it, enjoying the warmth that flowed through his body almost instantaneously. "Asato-kun... I... well I really want to do more for you... but if you want to get a shower or a nice relaxing bath, I can re-dress your wound afterward. I know it's not much but it's all I can offer really..."

"Of course I will." answered Asato with a smile. "I'm sure you'd like it too. They are very juicy. I like putting ketchup on mine sometimes. Or mustard. But it depends on the cheese I use. A few times I put long slices of pickles in the middle and cooked it with the cheese. We can have one when you come back from your tour!" Seemed like Asato was really looking forward to that opportunity. To be healthy and....just cooking in the kitchen or doing things that were totally normal, with Katsumi. Even though, everything wasn't quite normal was it.
"With Shou-san comes crowds. Lots of them. And he seems to thrive in it thus his popularity I think. Well, I suppose you and Akihiko have the same thing in common. A dislike of the crowds and being hands on with the fans. But...even if you can handle the pressure, Shou's Bees are mm.....overwhelming at times. One time, before you were around I saw during his Djini costume stage, a great majority of Bees showed up in harem cosplay of one sort or another. That time they danced for him rather than throw petals as they did not to long ago." Hiroki wished that one of the Ohayou stars was that popular. He hoped Michi's outgoing personality would garner some fans really into him. Because he wasn't certain if Izzy Lucky would be as hands on with the fans as easily. However, Nakai didn't seem to mind his fans and his popularity was increasing. Hiroki hoped someone would break through to that degree. It would happen...oneday...right?
"I think you'll be fine as Mi-chan in the public. As long as the men don't get too close, ne?" winked Asato as he watched Katsu type information into the ipad. "At least I'll have this to talk to you. It will be easier than my laptop."
Asato quieted when he heard that he was missed. He had wanted Katsu to stay last night but things had just gone so wrong. However, he didn't want to go back to that conversation either for fear of making another mess of things. So he moved to the next conversation which was far more pleasant.
"It's hard to much for me right now. My body is just going to take it's time healing. But I can finally take a bath...so maybe that would be nice." His eyes drifted up to those dark ones affectionately. "Hi-chan is really going to miss you horribly when you're away." As will I....

"Akihiko doesn't like his fans either?" Azriel asked, somewhat amazed by this. He knew that Shou was very doting on fans... and while the bat's gothic persona shied away from their fawning hands... he knew Mi-chan would have to be hands on. That was how he'd crafted her... To face things he hated... pink... overly cheerful cute people... crowds, fans included... "Azriel embraces what I love... Mi-chan embraces what I hate... I know it's odd and most people would think that completely mixed up but, that's how I am. Love and hate... black and white... polar opposites and yet you can't have one without the other." Katsu spoke seriously. Yes he'd really taken time in thinking about his two personas. "As Mi-chan I'll have to face what I hate... and take it in with a smile and a wink. We often have to do things we don't want to in this world after all." he added with a half smile, pointing to Hiroki's chest. "Like you for example. You don't want to lay in bed and rest and while it's deadly boring... believe me... been there and done that recently... it has to be done. SO while you are resting and recovering and healing... aka doing things you don't like... I'll be running around in heels and a pink apron looking like an overly genki princess and dealing with fans... aka doing things I don't like. Then, when I get back from the tour..." Azriel smiled. "We can complain about them to each other." he teased with a wink. "But until then... we have to promise that neither of us will complain about it AT ALL. Agreed?" Perhaps, in his own way, Katsu was trying to make this healing period easier on Hiroki. He didn't know if it would work but... at least they'd both be miserable together... even if they weren't in the same place. His dark eyes softened. "Yeah well Hiyokomame will have you, Asato-kun. I know he likes me... but you'll be there for him to snuggle with. I wish I wasn't going on tour but... I couldn't pass up the chance. You don't fault me for that, do you? Leaving so soon after you were hurt and all... I guess... I guess a part of me feels guilty, if you can believe that. Which is why I want to help you as much as I can before the tour beings... starting with a relaxing bath tonight."

What wouldn't I do for King and Country... Yes Sir!------------------------------------------------}:- Asato Hiroki Chairman's Secretary - Ohayou Productions
The world has....changed
"Nope....pretty much would rather do a show and go home. Anything that he does with the fans at all is because Izzy Lucky kicks his butt to do things." sighed Asato. "Seriously I don't get it. Sure I understand the desire for privacy but when you're a star you have to connect with your audience. It isn't enough just to make music. Shou-san might be a bit over the top with fan connection at times but I respect his deep understanding of his audience. He's not doing the show just for himself but for the whole arena. That's why he is so successful. Most of his fans will leave the show feeling like they got more than their money's worth." While Hiroki didn't understand star selection and some of the technical things, he did understand the office side. He saw all the letter bags that Akihiko received and rarely answered. They had a staff for that. Shou probably didn't have time to answer all his email but, Hiroki knew that the man was aware of it and probably did answer or tweeted. It wasn't his style to leave the fans hanging.
"You know you don't look bad in the pink. And there is nothing wrong with overly cheerful people. Maybe you'll find a good balance between Azriel and Mi-chan one day." Hiroki added as he looked up to see the butler walking back in with the plates.
"Today's dinner is cream of asparagus soup with tender flaked salmon dressed with dill greek yogurt plus creamed carrots. It should be very easy for your to swallow, sir." He set the plate and bowl down in front of Hiroki then picked up another plate and bowl then set them before Katsumi. His plate looked mostly the same except the salmon was a nice whole piece and the carrots weren't creamed but decorated with butter and peas.
"It looks really tasty. Thank you for preparing it." said Hiroki with a smile before taking a spoonful of the soup. "Mm...oishii!"
The butler pour water in their glasses and then tea into another set of glasses. Then he placed sugar and lemons on the table beside those before leaving.
Hiroki continued the conversation after the butler had left. "Agreed. We can complain about things when you get back." He smiled and seemed thoughtful as he tasted another bit of the soup."I suppose that will keep me from grumbling about being stuck in bed for awhile."
He tilted his head as he picked up his fork to try the salmon, "I don't fault you for doing your job and moving forward with your career. I want you to be successful and happy, Katsumi. If you're not pursuing your dreams then you'd be an unhappy person."
"Well, you wanted to go on tour before I got shot so you can't just change everything you've been working for because of me. Don't feel guilty for chasing your dreams. Feel guilty only for those dreams that you didn't pursue." Some bits of wisdom even if Hiroki sometimes didn't feel the wisest or the smartest in the world.
"A bath would be wonderful though...I'd like that very much."

Azriel thought on this for a few moments. "Well... it isn't that I don't like fans... I just don't like crowds. I think I could deal with a handful of them at once with no problem... but being mobbed... all those voices and bodies..." he shook his head, "It's overwhelming and a bit unnerving, you know? That's why, as Azriel, I always snuck away in secret after shows... why I use makeup and costumes so readily. It isn't that I want privacy... it's that I don't want to draw a crowd." the young man smiled slightly, "After my first show I had this incredible dizzy spell because a bunch of fans rushed the stage and I was caught in their midst. My bodyguard at the time got me out of there and into my car but... I was so panicked. They were touching me and grabbing, one was even pulling my hair!" Katsumi shook his head, "I don't like that... it's too much like my old life. But... I'm pretty much the same as my brother I expect... do a show and go home. I'm certain Shou-san will have me be a bit more fan friendly on the tour... so I'll just have to deal with that when I come to it."
At about this time the butler brought dinner... and while Katsu realized he wasn't a big fan of cream of asparagus soup... he did enjoy the salmon with greek yogurt and carrots quite a bit. In no time at all he had devoured that part of the meal, and instead... not wanting to waste the food... he slowly began to eat the soup, even though it was apparent he didn't like it. Old habits died hard.
"Then I won't feel guilty." Azriel spoke, stirring his spoon in the soup idly. "I've... never really had a dream to pursue... I do this because it's fun and makes money and lets the lyrics out... but it's hardly my dream." dark eyes flickered to Hiroki and the man smiled. "I have to experience this world more before I find my dream... because right now, I have everything I could have ever fathomed and more."

"Well, the Bees don't get too close to Shou-san from what I've seen. But then again, the ones that have bust through generally don't get too far. I also saw him on TV stopping a few fans that broke through the guards with his own stage presence. But in some ways, I'm guessing those hard core fans don't want their star's anger on them. Or the other fans pissed at them either. Shou-san seems handle crowds much better than most but he's definitely a peacock type, isn't he? Maybe stick close to him when he is around the fans so you can see how he works the crowd. Might help you in the future." Hiroki said with a smiled as he ate his soup. He actually liked cream of asparagus. This was fresh and not that cheap canned crap.
"You had a bad first experience it sounds like. But I guess it's good to start off with the bad first. I hope your dresses have bloomers for the stage so no one flips your skirts by chance." winked Hiroki as he set down his spoon and took a bit of the salmon. "Yes, you're fairly the same in that regard. He performs and is out the door before the fans even get released sometimes. Well, ok so maybe he does wait until they are all gone. But I'm sure if he could put a clone out there on the last song and make a fast break for his car he probably would."
"Mm...you'll have plenty of time to seek out your dreams now that you're able to choose your own life. I'm sure that while you're on tour you'll see so many unexpected things that will inspire you to seek out those dreams." Hiroki knew that Katsu would need time for self discovery. But as for Hiroki, his dreams slowly had come true one by one...although he wanted his kitten back. That dream was iffy. Even if the warm fuzzy hair and sweet face were only a few feet away.
