Nice, crisp and clean, certainly a departure from your usual orky business! wink

Lessons learned from this: [x] [x] [x]

Glossy paint doesn't like wash-type paints.

It takes a few coats to get a normal paint onto glossy paint.

Pulse carbines (for Pathfinders) suck to glue on.

They also barely give you enough.

They also force chop jobs for the last pair of Carbines.

Imperial Primer isn't Chaos Black.

Imperial Primer, however, is very good at getting into little seams and cracks.

I need to find a "leather" like base color, that isn't a wash.

Spray Paint gets everywhere.

EDIT: And apparently, my Tau from Tash'var are damn near insane. Yes, that is both weapons stuck on that single Stealth Suit. Because, why not?

This would be my current project, it's not exactly done yet though.

Thought I'd show it off and get some thoughts on things I might have missed.

All the black dots will become gems later and I intend to paint the sword differently, not to mention shading and highlighting..

I think out of that match, my favorite piece is the blade of the axe. What sort of brush did you use, do you know the size/brand?

Yeah, I should've known better, the game isn't unofficially called Pauldronmachine for nothing.. I'll say it, I like the mini better without them, but that's me.

True enough. :>
I just bought this particular modell because I liked it aswell as using it as Living Saint in a Sisters army.
This modell was by far cooler than the Living Saint in my oppinion.

Very nice! I like the crisp detail on the flag and the careful layering on the cloth especially.

My first stab at Harlequins. These were for work but I think if I do some for myself I might go with a bit more of a mime feel.

Harlequins

Harlequins from the back

Troupe Master

And I started Dark Eldar after a friend had a decent core army and wanted some Imperial Guard I never use on a swap. Decided to go with an Obsidian Rose look.

Kabalites

Flyer thing I can never remember the name of..

Also @ Shinobi - Very nice Word Bearers. I do so like Word Bearers and it's nice to see someone doing them justice.

Thanks for the nice words on my Word Bearers~

Haven't really painted any more since I've been busy with my own Dark Eldar for a while... Just finished converting my Baron who will find his way to the paintstation shortly~

And speaking of Dark Eldar, I really like the ones you've just shown! I'm really hoping to see some more~
Got a painting blog or thread anywhere on the net? Of not maybe start one here? Otherwise I could suggest checking into www.thedarkcity.net
A Dark Eldar community~ good place for tactics and getting inspiration for your DE, I found some for my own there when I was in a paint-slacker period...

Thanks. (:

I'll check out thedarkcity.

I like the suggestion but there wouldn't be too much point in a painting blog because it would be a bit inactive. I work full time for a commission painting company so when I actually do get time to work on my own stuff I often find myself in a cba mood. >.<

I've took all my infantry to work so that I might be able to do bits whilst other work is drying or at the end of the day before coming home. Hoping that might move things along a bit.
