Dmitri hovered effortlessly. His legs coiled around the broom and it was all that held him steady in midair. His arms were crossed over his chest and he lounged backwards, using the magic of the broom to keep himself leveled just right so he recline and still watch the game. The younger students seemed to be making an effort as they barreled through the other players until they reached the scoring zone. Dmitri straightened up then, waited for the last second, and then shot after the quaffle to catch it.

He didn’t seem surprised to have caught the ball. Claire’s one eye had jerked to the hoop she intended to shoot towards before ever even aiming. He swiped it up midair, though it bounced between his fingers for a second before he could snatch it up. Dmitri tucked the quaffle under his arms as he ascended higher on the pitch for a better vantage. Last time he relinquished the ball to the girls, this time, he decided to pass it back to the boys. He caught eyes with Daniel, and tossed it towards him.
