The Funeral of Koyasu Aki

#2 pushed a button on his phone and it spoke a word, Wakarimashita. then he hung up before quickly typing on his phone and displaying a message to Izo. We stay here. Sniper over lot.

Izo frowned and nodded then glanced over at Narcissus as they rose. Normally, he might just leave the others to their own devices but his thoughts flicked to the consequences of losing some great music if Narcissus were the target. Also, he had this strange feeling that Katsumi would be livid if he just let his 'brother' get gunned down by a sniper on the off chance Narcissus or one of the others in this room were the target. His eyes drifted to Takagi Yuuji before he opened his mouth. "You're safer in here than out there. My team has spotted a sniper."

Outside though, in a blink of an eye, there was a gun shot fired and the screaming had begun as people scrambled this way and that.

From Azriel's perspective on the TV. He would see the sudden panic all around the cars outside. People were screaming and it was very hard to see who had been hurt.

Akihiko seemed to be in a bit of a daze, but he heard what Matsumoto said as the trio had moved to leave the temple. Blue eyes focused on the older man for a long moment, as if processing those words.
Takagi glanced from Izo to #2 then touched the earpiece in his ear, alerting his security team to the supposed threat.
But then they heard it.
A gunshot rang out and on instinct, Narcissus grabbed Izzy and pushed him to the floor beneath him. Yuuji rushed to the window, his own gun drawn now, as he peered outside to see what might have happened.
He couldn't leave his cousin and manager here unguarded.
"Who was the target?" Takagi spoke into his earpiece, demanding one of his security personnel find who had been shot immediately.

The gunshot made You freeze. He tilted his head to the side slightly, listening... It had come from above. Hopefully #2 kept Izo indoors.
Ishihara dashed up the remaining stairs, hitting the proper floor. If his calculations were correct, it would be the fifth room on his right.
In moments he was outside the door, his gun aimed at the middle of the entryway. He was debating kicking the door in or just waiting to see who emerged.

Shizuka quickly grabbed and pushed Izo to the floor under the table that held the offerings then toppled it to hide the boss behind. As the other guards in the building swarmed to take places at the window. He raced to the door that the priests would use to enter the building and exited to the outside. Izo would be fine with several of Matsumoto's men present. He headed towards the parking lot as a second shot rang out on the crowd below.

Izzy fell hard to the floor and lost all the air in his lungs as Narcissus landed on top. He was frightened but whatever was happening was outside and with all these men here, he knew they were safe. Even if a portion of them belonged to the Spider.

Takagi heard across the wire screaming and the sounds of other guns going off as the bodyguards of various people reacted, "Get him in the limo! Hiroki has been shot. Goshiro-san too! We don't know which was the true target! One bullet two men! Watch out!" The sound of a car engine and the screech of tires filled the head piece. Things were chaos.

But the other bullet, now that had hit someone else not too far away....

Which bullet that came first was hard to say but the man that had been shot was a known politician, Izzy Lucky's father. However, the fortunate thing for the man was that his bodyguards had reacted quickly. He would live.

Upstairs. You could hear the shot then the sound of someone moving inside the room. Probably getting ready to leave? He could also hear the muffled sound of a woman trying to scream. Someone was a hostage on the inside as well.

Takagi paled.
Someone was taking out chairmen...
Goshiro-san...
Hiroki...
His gaze went to Izo and for a moment, the young man wrestled with his words. He hated the spider with ever fiber of his being.
But...
"Stay here. All three of you." Yuuji spoke coldly, directing his gaze from Izo back over to Akihiko and Izzy. "The target are chairmen. Hiroki-san and Goshiro-san have been shot."
Narcissus was on his feet in a heartbeat. "Asato!"
"STAY DOWN!" Takagi shouted at his cousin, reaching out and shoving the man to the floor. "You will stay with Matsumoto-san's guards. Do you understand me?"
When Akihiko hesitated, Yuuji flat out slapped the man.
"Do you understand?"
Blue eyes blinked and Narcissus nodded. He wasn't afraid for his life... but he did fear for those around him.
For Izzy... for Michi... for...
"Help him, Yuuji..." the young tiger spoke calmly.
Seemed the slap to the face worked.
Nodding, Takagi dashed outside, closing the door behind him. He moved swiftly, intent on getting to the injured. Of course he had no idea that Izzy's father had been shot... because all he could think about right now was Hiroki.
If he died...
Yuuji was at the limo before they even got the wounded man inside. "An ambulance is on the way. Keep him inside the car. It's the best coverage we can give him until the shooter is determined." Takagi was saying quickly to one of his men before grabbing Michi by the arm. "Go inside the temple. Now." he spoke to the vocalist, not explaining... just ordering...
At this point he finally found Lucky's aunt and uncle. He also ordered them to get inside the temple.
It was the safest place right now.
Then his eyes fell on a man he didn't recognize. No... he had seen the man with Azriel at the club. Takagi walked up to Kaito and pointed to Hiroki. "You came with him, yes? Stay here in the limo. Keep your head down."
But Yuuji wasn't about to retreat... no... his eyes were scanning the rooftops...
















Two shots... the sniper had a hostage...
Red eyes scanned the hallway and he holstered his weapon. Then... well, Ishihara did something one might not expect. He had to be quick... and it would test his still healing muscles...
Thankfully, the hallway was extremely close and thin and the ceiling had beams... so the shark stretched himself out and quite literally walked up the walls; his hands on one wall, his feet on the other, until he could grasp the nearest beam.
Jumping would have alerted the sniper... so would running... and while this wasn't the fastest way to the ceiling, it was the most silent.
Hoisting himself up, glad for the architecture of the place, You maneuvered his body so that he was hanging just a foot or so over the doorway.
He pulled a thin wire from his watch... and waited, barely breathing.
Whoever came through that door was getting a shark on their back and a noose around their necks...
















The scream that tore through Izo's Ginza flat was ungodly and almost inhuman.
Black nails clawed at the television as Azriel screamed. He had been watching the funeral... amused by his readings of the various people which the media had focused in on during the ceremony. He had heard the speeches given by his brother and by Hiroki... But outside... after the funeral...
Now the screen had a "pardon the interruption" logo on it, but before...
"ASATO!" Katsu cried out, fists pounding on the television that refused to let him see what had happened to his beloved pet.
Dark eyes had widened in shock and horror when that bullet pierced Hiroki's chest and the man had crumpled. In fact, the media had been focusing on him exclusively in that moment because he had been about to leave.
But Katsumi kept screaming... screaming at the top of his lungs so loudly that people further down in the highrise would've been able to hear him... and of course, so would the guards who kept watch over his father's flat.

Izzy never got off the floor. He glanced around and scrambled over to a table pushing it over not unlike what Izo's guard had done previously. He crawled behind it and then yelled, "Akihiko get over here!"

On the other side of the other table Izo closed his eyes for a moment and took a breath. Well, his men were worth their weight in gold today it seemed. He was alive and would remain so, but he did reach into his coat and pulled out a handgun. Yeah he knew how to use it and he would if need be.

Shizuka hit the parking lot before Yuuji had gotten there. But he wasn't going for the injured. He was scanning for something completely different.

Michi was hiding with Crystal and Rukuro behind the limo and just inside it's doors. It was the one that had meant to take them home. "We're not going anywhere." hollered Rukuro. "This limo is bullet proof. The shots came from above and I'm not risking any of us running back to that temple from here. I just got to get to the front seat and we can drive out."

Rukuro also had seen Hiroki fall and Goshiro's shoulder was grazed. He wasn't taking any chances. Maybe it was a good thing he hadn't upgraded the older limo.

Kaito nodded but he really didn't have time to talk. "Yes I came with him!" he yelled as he was applying compression to Hiroki's wound. He already had his coat off using that to cover Hiroki while Genki's chairman kept Hiroki's airway clear. Hiroki was drifting in and out of consciousness and Kaito yelled back at Yuuji, "We've got to get him to a hospital now!" Fortunately for Kaito, he had worked for the Doctor a short time and learned several things he never thought he'd have to put to use.

Ishihara You could hear the knob turn and out of the door way came a woman and a man behind her. The man was obviously the gunman. There was a case over his shoulder and a handgun in his hand guiding the frightened woman into the hall.

THE CHAOS THAT ENSUED

Akihiko got behind the table, grabbing onto Izzy and keeping himself between his manager and the temple entrance... just in case. His blue gaze focused on Izo... he saw the gun...
"For once, I'm glad you have that." the young tiger spoke calmly, watching the spider for a long moment.

Meanwhile, Takagi had his hands full. He had to deal with Hiroki but...
Moving around the bullet-proof limo, Yuuji grabbed Rukuro and used his own body as a shield, pushing the older man toward the limo door. Once inside, he told Crystal and Michi to get into the backseat and to drive as swiftly as possible back to the Koyasu estate.
It would have the proper security.
But Yuuji stopped for a moment, looking to Crystal. "Akihiko and Izzy are inside the temple. I swear I won't let anything happen to them. I thought Izzy to be the target but..."
But he had been wrong.
Quickly, Takagi banged on the top of the limo, signaling for them to move now. He then backtracked back to the other limo, crawling in to help Kaito.
"I can hear the sirens now. Hiroki-san." Yuuji's fingers were quick in stripping off his own shirt, wadding it up to use to help Kaito apply more pressure to the wound.
They had to stop the bleeding...
"Hiroki-san just stay awake. Do you hear me? Don't fall asleep." carefully Takagi gripped the older man's chin and made him look at him. "Katsumi wouldn't want you to sleep, Asato. Stay awake for him, okay?" He didn't give a damn if Goshiro or Kaito questioned the odd words.
If Yuuji could keep Hiroki awake and responsive...

Up in the building... two things happened at once.
First... Ishihara dropped down behind the two who emerged from the vacant room. Second, that wire pulled tight around the man's neck with swiftly that it bent the sniper back and any shot the man fired would've missed his hostage.
"Run!" You ordered the woman, keeping his hold on that wire tight.
He wasn't trying to kill the sniper... just to make him pass out.

Rukuro took slipped into the driver seat and then glanced down at the temple as Yuuji spoke. "Alright! Take good care of them!" He waited until Yuuji was away from the limo before pulling away. He hoped that Yuuji was right because it was impossible to just drive a limo down to the front door of that temple even though Rukuro for a moment had thought about it.

Inside the limo, Kaito worked desperately to keep the blood from escaping adding Yuuji's shirt to the mix. "Yeah well if there is a gunman out there that Ambulance isn't going to come into this area. We're going to have to get him to them."

Hiroki eyes flicked open upon the grasp of his chin and the name...."Katsumi?'' he muttered back trying to focus. Where was Katsumi? He didn't come to the funeral. No he wasn't here was he? His eyes blinked a few times looking at Yuuji's face trying to stay awake but it was difficult. "Where is he? Where's Aki...hiko..?"

Kaito tried to come up with an answer, "Umm...Katsumi is probably watching us on TV. So you gotta stay awake to give him that kitten. Ok." Kaito knew no one here other than seeing Takagi Yuuji before at the club but he knew that if Hiroki died while he was with him, there would be no saving himself from Katsu's wrath.

"The kitten....ahn..no...I didn't leave out enough food." Hiroki's eyes flicked to Kaito but he was having a difficult time thinking clearly

"Oh that's right! Now you have to stay awake because we need to go feed the kitten you bought. It's at home waiting for you." added Kaito as he continued to hold the cloth into the wound.

The sniper bent back and a shot went into the air as he tried to turn his head before You got the cord too tight. The man obviously was trained because this method was one of the best to counter a man attempting to perform strangulation.

As he turned the sniper was trying to wheel his gun around to get a good shot at You's chest.



(OOC: Giving You a chance to react since he had the drop on this guy. But...who he's fighting knows what he's doing. So take that into consideration that it will be a tough fight for You. Have fun with it!)

THE CHAOS THAT ENSUED

Izo's phone suddenly started to ring.
Eventually, Azriel had gotten it through his enraged, grief stricken mind that he could call the spider.
"Otousan?!" Katsumi gasped as soon as Matsumoto answered the phone. "Asa... Asato he... he got shot in the chest! He's dying!" came the bat's worried voice, far more high pitched than his usual timber. "It was on television but they stopped filming! Please! Tell me you're safe! Tell me Kaito-kun's safe! PLEASE!"
Yes the young man was panicking as he clutched the phone to his ear, sitting on his knees in the middle of the living room floor.

Kaito was right.
Damn...
"No more shots were fired and..."
One of his men dashed up to the limo, "The ambulance is here, Takagi-san. They need room to work."
Sighing, Yuuji looked down at the prone man. "Akihiko and Izzy are inside the temple. They're safe, Hiroki-san. We're going to get you into the ambulance and to the hospital... but I need you to stay awake. Katsumi needs you to keep awake too. You want to see him, don't you?" Takagi moved then, allowing for one of the paramedics to get into the limo. "Goshiro-san, I suggest you go as well. Just as a precaution for your shoulder." Yuuji spoke to the Go Chairman, before his dark gaze went to Kaito. "And you. Go with them."
There was a perimeter he needed to secure... though his men had done a rather good job of it so far.

Meanwhile, You twisted the wire, latching it to his watch and making a tight noose. His free hand was now able to grab the sniper's wrist and turn, slamming the strangling man's hand against the door frame over and over in an attempt to get him to drop the gun. Then, to simply give him a little better leverage, Ishihara kicked at the back of the other man's knee, intent on knocking his legs out from under him and driving him to the ground.

Izo picked up the phone with his free hand and got an earful of Katsumi! "I'm ok. I'm holed up in the temple. Don't worry I've got my gun. Shot in the chest?!" Well that wasn't what he expected to hear. "My men are out there right now after the sniper. But I can't see Kaito-kun, I'm behind a table right now waiting for the all clear but I am safe." He couldn't do much to console Katsumi other that tell him that he was ok. Knowing that Hiroki was shot did make him less inclined to do anything heroic.

Hiroki looked on in a daze slipping in and out of waking and dreaming. "Aki?" he said softly and couldn't easily explain why he was seeing the old man in his mind's eye. But then he heard Yuuji say Katsumi's name and his eyes flicked over to the man... "Katsumi....is he here?"

The paramedic raced in and started setting up Hiroki getting him on the stretcher and to the ambulance as fast as they could. Kaito and Goshiro were put into the ambulance as well and it sped out of the lot and away from the scene.

The gun fired again and grazed the side of You's midsection. He'd feel the blood leaking out over his shirt. The man kicked at You as he tried to fight but soon he fell as his legs were knocked out from under him. His gun hand flew up and tried firing again but the gun jammed so he instead tried to smack it straight at You's groin.

THE CHAOS THAT ENSUED

Ishihara didn't make a single sound as the bullet grazed his side. In the back of his mind he knew explaining this injury was going to suck.
Which meant he had to take the sniper alive.
The shark's hand tightened, jerking upward as the man collapsed to the floor. The wire bit deep into the sniper's neck, but it didn't cut. Again Ishihara's free hand grabbed that wrist and slammed it against the door frame, trying to force the other man to drop the gun.
It was at this point that a few of the men which You had ordered to surround the building, ascended the stairs, their own guns drawn and pointing directly at the sniper.
With Ishihara's grip on the assassin's gun arm, the man being strangled wouldn't be able to shoot himself and escape this so easily.
"I suggest you drop the gun." You spoke calmly, jerking on the wire as he and the sniper were quickly surrounded.

Katsumi sighed softly. Izo was alive and fine. But Hiroki... Kaito...
"He... I saw it on television, Matsumoto-san. The bullet slammed into Asato and... and he fell..." there were tears streaming down Azriel's cheeks as he tried to calm down. "Is... is Akihiko... is he alright?"
Okay so maybe the bat worried about his older brother just a bit...

Blue eyes glanced over to Izo as Akihiko kept Izzy hidden behind his own body. "Tell me whoever is on that phone didn't just say Hiroki-san was shot in the chest." Narcissus spoke, those sapphire eyes cold and hard as diamonds.
The sadness and the tears which he had felt just moments before was buried deep once more. One of his hands kept gripped onto Izzy's own hand. He wouldn't let go.

Yuuji nodded, "Katsumi is coming to see you." he lied, but it was to give Hiroki a bit of hope before the paramedic's took him, Goshiro, and Kaito off in the ambulance.
Quickly, Takagi dashed across the grounds, intent on checking on the men still in the temple.
"It's Takagi Yuuji!" he called out before opening the door and quickly coming inside, closing it behind him.
Akihiko stood, "Is Asato..."
"He's on the way to the hospital. And it's bad. Goshiro-san was just grazed but... Hiroki-san was hit in the chest. That man who came here with him went to the hospital as well." the man's dark gazed focused on Izo. "I told him he'd be seeing Katsumi soon. I hope that can be arranged. Right now it might be the only thing keeping him awake."
Narcissus' grip on Izzy's hand tightened. "And the others?"
Sighing softly, Takagi walked further into the temple. "The perimeter is secured, though some of SMASH's security detailed have focused on a building near the parking lot. Rukuro and Crystal and Tanaka all fled in the bullet proof limo. Your band is fine, Akihiko. And..."
"Izzy's father?" the young tiger pressed. "He said his father would be here! That we needed better security!"
Yuuji blinked and shook his head, "I didn't see him..."

The sniper fell over finally with the strangulation after the last blow and comment from You's lips. Obviously he was having a hard time since he couldn't breath and used up all the air in his lungs for the fight.

You's men had their guns trained on the man and waited for You's orders.

"Yes, Narcissus is fine. In fact, he's about 10 feet from me behind another table." Izo's dark eyes glanced up at Narcissus before saying "That's what I've been told." Izzy covered his mouth with his free hand in shock while praying no one else was injured.

Izo stood up but kept the gun at his side with his other hand on the phone to his ear. He didn't really want to bring Katsumi out of the house to the hospital but he had this odd feeling that the sharp ears of his son probably heard that request. So he didn't deny it right away. "Which hospital is Hiroki-san going to?"

Izzy pulled out his phone when Yuuji said he didn't know. He then dialed the last number he had for his old man. His father didn't pick up but another man did. "Is my father ok?"

The man on the line answered, "Yes but he was hit by a bullet and their seeing him now. at the hospital. It hit nothing vital and he'll be ok. The marks man had a bad angle on him."

Izzy paled and then said, "Ok...keep me informed at this number to how the surgery goes." He hung up the phone and said quietly. "He was shot too." His lips trembled slightly as he squeezed Akihiko's hand.

Carefully, Akihiko wrapped his arms around Izzy as his partner divulged that bit of news.
Hiroki was down... Goshiro was wounded... and Izzy's own father was shot...
Grief would wait.
It had to wait.
Because Narcissus, once more, couldn't afford it.
"I want to go to the hospital." the young tiger spoke, his cold gaze on Yuuji.
Takagi shook his head, "You're going home. Izzy too." when the younger man looked like he would argue however... "Don't you get it, Akihiko?!" Yuuji pointed to Izo. "Someone attacked his stars first! Now this! Two heads of two major corporations are in the hospital as is an important politician! The two of you are going home and you're going to stay there because if either of you get shot, I'll ******** drag your asses back from hell myself."
Narcissus' blue eyes narrowed, "You won't tell me what to do, Yuuji. Asato is..."
"Asato is probably going to die!"
Akihiko stopped... he just stared at his cousin...
"There was a lot of blood, Akihiko. And there is nothing you can do for him. But you..." and at this, Takagi focused on Izo again. "He's at the nearest hospital..." which just so happened to be the same one Narcissus had been taken to for his various injuries lately. "Have Katsumi there as soon as you can. I don't..."
"So what? He goes and I stay? He..." Narcissus shook his head, "He can't die..."
The panic that was welling up inside of the young tiger was almost palpable.
If Hiroki died... he was in charge.
He couldn't do this...
They needed Hiroki...
He... needed Asato there...
Sure the two men had bumped heads more times than there stars in the sky but... Hiroki was always there in case things went wrong. He really was the strongest of them... had given up everything for them...
Akihiko didn't say anything else, and instead wrapped Izzy in a tight hug. He didn't give a damn if Izo saw... could care less if the world were filming them right now.
His image could go to hell.
"Gomen, Ruki..." Narcissus whispered, his face buried in his partner's hair. "Your father will be fine. I know he will. He has to be."
Takagi sighed softly, his phone suddenly ringing.
It was, of all people... Ishihara You.
"Good news is the sniper has been neutralized." the shark spoke carefully over the line.
Which was true. One of You's men had quickly cuffed the sniper's hands behind his back with multiple zip ties... and had even done the man's feet. Ishihara wasn't taking any chances either because he'd then shoved a ball gag into the man's mouth to prevent him from biting his tongue or any sort of cyanide capsule that might be hidden in a tooth.
No... You wasn't going to let this one get away.
"The bad news is, the media is swarming outside. Use the men to get Matsumoto-san and your people to safety before I bring the sniper out. I don't want to take any chances."
You hung up and Yuuji sighed. "Your man has him." he spoke, looking to Izo. "He suggests moving you and both Akihiko and Izzy to safety before bringing the sniper from the building. I can get the limos closer but the media is hounding the area so it'd be best if you went quickly."

Of course it was at about this time that Katsumi finally spoke up, having heard almost the entire conversation.
"Onegai, otousan... let me see Asato-kun?" Azriel whispered into the phone, not wanting to be overheard at all. "He's mine... He's my responsibility... He shouldn't be alone if..."
The deaths of others had never bothered the bat before.
But now...
Now he wasn't so sure...
His pet was dying, or so it sounded like, and here Katsu was, stuck in Izo's flat with bandages over his head and tears streaming down his cheeks.
"Let me see him and Kaito-kun... onegai..."

Izo for all the chaos around him was pretty dang calm. Of course, he lived this life of guns and death in the darkness of the web so hearing about more people shot didn't really phase the man.

But the police along with the media were swarming outside now gathering statements and trying to make sense of what happened. However, in this world the police hadn't much success against the problems occurring in Tokyo. However, they were still the law and started heading towards the building where You and the crew had the sniper.

Izo inwardly was pleased that his #1 had got his mark. Even though he couldn't stop the incidents that happened it was still a better outcome than the onsen incident. "Alright, well, then gentlemen I believe I'll be taking my leave as soon as the limos are brought close enough." His guards moved away from the windows and prepared the exit strategy. Izo wondered where #2 had went but he wouldn't concern himself with it here.

"Alright...get yourself prepared and poke your head outside the front door. Ask the man out there to prepare the car and he'll drive you to the hospital." replied Izo as he walked over to a corner closer to the door away from the Ohayou group. "If he balks at the idea, give him this message." he whispered softly, "Pawn Advance at the King's behest."

Then he turned to glance out the window. "The Limo is here, and I'm leaving. I'm guessing with the amount of police here I might be a few moments before I can get underway. But I'll be at your side soon enough."

Izzy on the other hand took Akihiko's hand and said softly. He's right. We can't do anything at the moment. But if we go to the house we can call the hospital and find out his condition. Then later when things settle, I'm sure we can go see him." Izzy wasn't going to say Hiroki was a dead man. He would keep his hope alive. God...he prayed that this wouldn't happen because Akihiko was not ready to be in charge.

He remained in that hug and waited for the limo to come to get them. Once it was there. he pulled Akihiko along so they'd leave sooner rather than later. However, they were stopped just like Izo by the Police to get an account of what happened. Their stories wouldn't have much to add because they had been in the temple the entire time.

"Matsumoto-san..." Azriel whispered before nodding, keeping the phone clutched against his ear. "Hai. I'll relay the message. I'll be on my best behavior. Really." he added, beyond glad that Izo was going to be nearby soon.
He'd get to see Hiroki...
After the bat had hung up, he did as the spider instructed, including giving the man outside the message. Soon he was on his way, his coat wrapped tight around him.
The car didn't seem quite as warm as usual now...
As they got stuck in traffic, Katsu quickly dialed Kaito's number. He still didn't know if his friend was alright...

It took time... so much time... for Akihiko and for Izzy and even for Yuuji to give their statements. In fact, it was almost an hour later before the trio was in another limo and driving... not to Narcissus' home... but to the Koyasu estate.
After all, Takagi trusted the security there more than at his cousin's... and Izzy's aunt and uncle were there, as was Michi.
Narcissus said nothing while the limo drove... but still he didn't release Izzy's hand. He needed that connection just as much as his partner did.
Once at the estate, Yuuji ordered them to go inside while he tightened security. Akihiko was only too happy to oblige and he practically dragged his partner along behind him and up the steps.
It was only when they were safely inside once more, that the young tiger released the other man's hand.

As much as Ishihara wanted to drag this sniper into the PIT and get his own answers... it was too high profile a crime. He was forced to turn over the man to the police... though thankfully some of them were on Izo's payroll and he would be able to question the man himself at a later date.
Walking from the building, glasses back on his face and red eyes gone, You straightened his tie and brushed off his jacket before finding Matsumoto who was just not finishing his statement with police. Once the spider was free from their attention, Ishihara bowed to the older man.
"The police have him in custody. I am concerned about the female hostage he had however, and have asked the police to look into the matter. Last time it was a male and a female team. The fact that a male and a female were once again involved makes me suspicious. I..." but suddenly the shark looked around. "Where is #2? I thought he was supposed to be at your side, Matsumoto-san?"

The Aftermath

The guard outside did balk just as Izo expected. The man usually wouldn't move without Izo's direct orders so as soon as those words were spoken, he immediate moved. The car that Katsu rode in was an inconspicuous silver sedan with tinted window. Definitely useful when one wanted to be incognito.

Kaito answered the phone as soon as it rang. "Katsu? Hey....I'm ok. Sorry I didn't call but I was kind of busy." Yeah...working on Hiroki, riding in the ambulance, trying to help...and washing off as much blood as he could from his hands and face when he got to a bathroom inside. "I'm at the hospital. I'm guessing you saw everything. I tried to stop the bleeding. Glad I paid attention when I worked for the Doc. He's in surgery right now." Beyond that Kaito didn't know much more except that the other guy, Goshiro-san wasn't in too bad of shape comparatively. The man was in a foul mood too but who wouldn't be.

Crystal hugged Akihiko and Izzy like kids when they were finally in the estate. "I'm glad you're both ok. We're keeping tabs on the hospital. Hiroki-san is in surgery right now."

And Rukuro was holding a very small kitten. "I think that Hiroki-san got himself a new little friend. He was hungry so I've fed him."

Izzy's hand was finally free but he was still a little quiet. However, the kitten got his attention and he walked over and started petting it right away. His lips parted as he breathed in the scent of small kitten fur. This was soothing. He needed something to calm his mind after what happened.

Izo listened to You and pulled out a cigar lighting it with a lighter. "Yeah...well #2 took off after putting me behind a table when the bullets started to fly. He disappeared. But I'm guessing that he'll show up." Izo grumbled because he didn't have control of #2. The assassin's priorities were not solely for Izo's safety. Not like #1. However, he couldn't expect that with the Doc's prized assassin. "Probably thought I had enough men on my butt. At least, I didn't have to exit in a priest's get up. Would have been funny though for everyone else but me."
