Lan jerked a finger at Kyoshi, meaning 'shut up'. Then he brought his lips back to Kane's ear. "Th-thats fine......c-can I know why?"

"Uh," Kane blushed harder, "I...I....I just don't think I'm ready yet." Kane knew what a hypocrate he was, but he was finally being given a choice in a very important matter, and he was glad that he at least had an option. "Um, hey Kyoshi, the uh, the park's just around the next corner. Why don't you pull ahead a little. We'll meet you there." AS he watched Kyoshi wave and then go around the building, Kane said to Lan, "I'm really sorry about this, but...I get flustered just thinking about it anymore. I'm not sure why..."

Lan smiled and put his finger under Kane's chin and softly kissed him. "It's fine. Whenever you're ready....I'm kinda relieved too y'know....wh-when we do...It'll be my first real time....c-can you be gentle" he said a little fearfully.

Kane giggled. "I wouldn't know if I could or not; I've always been on the recieving end." He was still blushing a little, but he was very relieved that Lan felt similarly about it. "So, I guess we should make sure that Kyoshi han't gotten himself killed already, huh?" Kane took Lan's arm and led him around the corner.
Kyoshi looked happy and buisy just spinning and playing around on the manual merry-go-round.

Lan smiled as Kyoshi spun before turning to Kane and whispering "c-can you please? Maybe I'll pitch other times, but.....I don't want my experience with the demon to be my only experience receiving" he said a little teary as he hugged Kane

Kane giggle at first, this time at Lan's terminology, but then he hugged him back and petted him on the head. "Now now, I didn't say I wouldn't. I'll try my best. And I'll try to make you happy. You 'll just have to let me know if...uh, you know I end up hurting you or something. Because I don't want that to happen." Kane htought of all of the accidents that had happened to him and didn't want to do that to Lan. Wiping Lan's eyes, he asked, "Now why are you crying like that? You have me rigth here whenever you need me." Kane also looked at Kyoshi's innocence in his simple game and smiled. He could remember when he had played like that at this exact same park years ago.
"Excuse me," a bright light shone down on them from the sky as an angel descended on golden wings. She seemed just a year or two younger than the three boys, but she carried herself as an adult. "You would be Kane, right? Would you boys mind sitting down? I'm going to have to ask you a few questions."
"Oh!" Kyoshi exclaimed from his seat. "Hi Fate! What are you doing here? Did you come to play with us?"

Lan smiled at the angel, very happy at Kane's words. He sat down and pulled Kane down with him, petting his hair. "Sure...We'll answer what we can" he said as Kane had put him in a good mood.

Smling back at the neko and fallen angel, Fate explaned, "Well, you see, I'm the angel in charge of making sure that the future is kept in order and that everything happens as it should be. Lately, however, the images in my Window have not been what they once were. Kane here, at least his future self, has been changed dramatically by an unnatural event. I am here to make sure that no one is intentionally messing with time. Now, first off, what's your name?" she asked politely, pointing at Lan.

"Why does no one know? Damn, heaven is slow on updates" Lan said smiling and giggling. He stood up and unfolded his black wings. "Im Samael or Lan. First is my angel name, second is my real name" he said as he held Kane close.

"His real name is Lan," Kane half-parroted. He was proud to say that because Lan was his. "So, I'm being changed somehow?"
"Yes," she said with an interested look at the now-winged neko. "Just let me check something real quick. Ryuuk!" A strange creture vaguely resembling some type of dark angel rose slowly from the ground and handed a book to Fate. "Let's see...Oh, this is a list of people who are supposed to have died and when they died," she explained to the two boys. As she flipped through the book, scanning the pages, she finally came to the page she was searching for. "Ah hah, here we are. It says here, Lan, that you were supposed to have died a whiole ago. Says something about some no-name demon who died a rather normal death, as far as normal goes these days, and yet you stand before me. This must be what has changed the future. Now we have reached the difficult part," she said very seriously. "We're going to have to give this case to a panel of archangels to decide whether the changes to history are acceptable or not. If they believe it does not change anything majorly important in history, or if it makes things better in their eyes, then you will be allowed to continue your life as you are. Unfortunately, if the opposite is true, you will be killed and events will be set in motion to right was has been wronged. So, I'll be back in a day or two to let you know when your trial is. Until then, ta ta!" she ended on a jubalent note with a smile and a wave.
"Oh my god," was all Kane could manage. He staggered backwards and fell on his seat. He could only stare at the ground in horror at the thought of what might come.

Lan briefly whispered to Kane "Don't be afraid" he said before reaching out and grabbing Fate's wrist. "You can't hurt me. You see," he said as his wings lifted him off the ground. His eyes caught on painless blue fire and so did he hands. "Im one of you. You can't sentence death to the angel of death" he smiled and said in that demonic heavenly voice. Then he turned his head to Kane. "It's still me. Please don't be scared"

Kane would not even look at Lan, and he was ashamed of himself for it. 'I still love him when he is an animal, so why can I not even look him in the eyes when he's an angel?'
Fate smiled again at Lan and slipped out of his grasp. "I never said I would be the one enforing your sentence. The elders, archangels, and perhaps even the Seraph will be in charge of that." And with that she flew back to Heaven.
Kyoshi looked at Lan and Kane, and then said, "Aww. She only came here on buisness. And upsetting newsbringing as weel. Well, pity on her for missing our fun."

"Fun!" roared Lan as he drew his flaming sword and placed the point at Kyoshi's throat. "Fun! Your seraph won't take me from Kane. I'll join the morningstar before I let him kill me" he cried out.

Kyoshi cried out and his eyes instantly filled with tears as Lan threatened him.
"No!" Kane yelled. Running to Kyoshi, he plced himself between his cousin and the blade. "Lan, stop this now! He doesn't understand what's happening!" He stared Lan down, eye to eye, but not with fear or a worried love, but with anger and some amount of burning hatred.

The flames dissappeared from Lan's eyes as he met Kane's. He dropped his sword and he fell to his knee's. "Why.....Why do I do this?.....Please....don't hate me" he cried as he sobbed. "Why do I have to be this angel? Maybe" he said as he picked up his sword and brought it to one of his wings, crying his eyes out in sadness. His hand quivered
