Dylan kept his eyes on Echo, his eyes narrowing as if that would do him any more good. His hands were still shaking, but it had definitely improved in the last five minutes. All he had to do was concentrate on grabbing that ball.

spaceEcho couldn't help but notice that the second year was nervous; it was sort of obvious from the way his hands shook when he tried to steal. The fifth year offered him a small, hopefully encouraging smile before he aimed his gaze back towards the goals. He couldn't quite relate to being nervous about Quidditch; when he'd first tried out, he was pretty sure he'd been too pissed at his sister to be nervous. But, he could understand why someone would be. But, the kid had gotten pretty close to a steal, which was impressive for a first-time player. Not that Echo thought he was amazing or anything, but he'd been playing for a few years now, and the kid was brand new. He figured the kid would probably make a decent player.

Benjamin unfortunately wasn't prepared for the quaffle drop and had an extremely late start...unfortunately. He had to do better...he had to. He was already off to a bad start and echo was already going down the pitch. He was one of the better chasers so he really could imagine how hard it was going to get the Quaffle from him. He came from the side and attempted to steal.

When he went for the steal, he felt like he had gotten some of the quaffle on the attempt, but Echo kept a hold on the ball just like he probably should have. Benjamin needed to show what he could do...so...he had to get this Quaffle.

spaceEcho evaded the steal attempt from Benjamin, barely. He was glad to see that the other boy had gotten himself in gear. But, he didn't think on that too long. He got within shooting range of the goals, took aim, and shot to score.
