Caleb looked down at her periodically. He watched the fire as the wood crack and snapped. The logs falling and readjusting to keep the fire alive.

Moé began to twitch.
"Sir... I'm sorry..."
She began to sob somewhat, though she was asleep.

Moé, however, was writhing a bit, and couldn't hear him.
Her body suddenly became very, very cold.

Caleb felt her body become icy. He took hold of her shoulders, looking into her face. "Awaken." He demanded.

Moé woke up, and she stopped shivering.
"...s-sir?"
She noticed that she was in his arms, and then blushed modestly.

Moé looked away somewhat.
"I-I still feel guilty for harassing you so much, Sir. And... I... ate a slice of cake though I intended the entire thing to be for you, Ann and Kokopelli for the party..."
She then sobbed somewhat.
"...and then I ate the rest of it, since I th-thought I wasn't going to get any presents for my birthday-Christmas, and I thought I could just eat the cake for myself. And then THAT happened, with the beautiful clock and all, and I felt so horrible."
