retice So, do you ever regret it? Or does it give you the opposite feeling -- pride, knowing you're this much more open minded than the people who knock it? surprised
Pride, definitely pride. Being from Vermont, I grew up around a lot of ignorance, which is unfortunate. My own household has always been a very open-minded environment, so, when I came upon yaoi at about age eleven, I was not at-all surprised, shocked, or disgusted. In fact, I jumped right into it, (so-to-speak). Now, yaoi is a major part of my life, (both as a hobby - drawing, and, such - and, in the written and drawn works that I sell, and, have published), and, I have never, and, shall never regret becoming 'involved' with it. 3nodding heart

Lum Cheng Halcyon100 Lum Cheng I don't regret loving shonen-ai/yaoi for any reason other than the depletion of the money in my wallet. biggrin Thus sweet internet has saved me many times...although I would just like one Yaoi Anime/Manga to have around for me to enjoy. mrgreen True, the internet is very useful - I visit scanlation sites on occasion - but there's nothing quite like having the book in your hands for me. That's one of my big downfalls. Unfortunately, another problem I have found is that there are some doujinshi that are nigh impossible to find online, so I shop at the local con every year (and usually blow about half my dealer's room budget in the process). Exactly my point. I want to watch it on my own TV or have it in my hand instead of on the computer for once. And yeah doujinshi's are tricky businesses, I'd like to get one from a con myself if I could get the chance.
