Oh my ******** God.
I watched another report like this once, and they flashed My Chemical Romance once, for less than a second; but this whole video was basically about My Chem! Ugh. I hate ******** retarded assholes who have no idea what they're talking about.
Even apart from the My Chemical Romance thing, about twice in the video they played "Hold On" by Good Charlotte in the background. "Hold on if you feel like letting go. Hold on, it gets better than you know." Oh yeah. That's definitely encouraging kids to hurt themselves rolleyes
My mom watched the whole thing over my shoulder, and she sat there going "What the hell?!" I stopped cutting myself and feeling suicidal once I started listening to My Chemical Romance; therefore, the guys of My Chemical Romance are very much respected by family. She was seriously just about as pissed as I was. I'm so glad my parents won't be brainwashed by this bullshit.
Anyone know the adress for me to send them a horrible letter?
Edit: But I do have to admit that I laughed really hard when they said something along the lines of "You may see very disturbing images," and right then flashed to Gerard. Bahaha.

Oh, wow. OMFG. >_.
this is what I wrote:
"THAT SERIOUSLY MADE ME WANT TO VOMIT. It is more sadly misguided than hilariously... Ah, how the scene kids and teenies confuse the idocracy of adults.
Although when he said "these images may disturb you" and then they show Gerard I couldn't help but lawl XD
However...that old dude and old lady were just afraid of teenagers mugging them, lol.
Also, music classified as emo like MCR do the ******** opposite than feed depression. they try to fight it off."
Because MCR is seriously, the polar opposite of "emo". They are anti-suicide. anti-self hurt. They want to save you.
Everybody looks at "emo" music and thinks it's literal. But it's all a metaphor. I wish people could understand that. GOD IT MAKES ME SO ******** MAD!

I am disgusted by this. I never labeled myself or anyone else as emo for listening to MCR. They have helped me through so much s**t that its not even funny. Just because someone wears black does not make them emo. Black is associated with death and funerals, but it's also associated with beauty. It makes me sick to hear this come out of the press' mouths. They're usually smacking people like Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie and they say that it is terrible to be influenced by idiots like these girls. But now they say that it is terrible to be influenced by someone who helps to save lives. That's sick. I mean, you don't see Nick Lachey sending important messages in his s**t music. You don't see him saving lives and yet they say that we should not be influenced by people who do. Well, CBS, tell us. Who ARE we supposed to be influenced by? Rap stars? Those people whose raps have lyrics like "put up yo' guns"? Come on. Get smart.

That's a load of bull***t. MCR even says that they are NOT emo, or any form of that in their music and interviews. And just because some kids wear black and have black eyeliner, or are bisexual, gay, or lesbian doesn't mean that they go home and cut themselves! My God, that's really disgusting.
But, I started singing along to MCR's "Teenagers" when they played it. x3
